Beginner's Guide to Wireless Lavalier Mics

In this video, I look at the basics of using a wireless lavalier mic, when recording audio for video production. Firstly I look at a typical wireless lav mic system, the camera-mountable Sennheiser G4 with ME2 omnidirectional mic, then I discuss basic issues surrounding the placement of lav mics and managing the microphone cable and transmitter belt pack. Although wireless lavalier mics are used in a variety of settings, such as electronic newsgathering, film production, documentary making, and musical theatre, this video concentrates on their deployment for an interview and corporate video scenarios, with some discussion regarding placement for wedding videography.
