From the wretch of a car that barely dragged it's butt home to AZ, and started it's transformation at your hands, to the car it has become today is a rather astounding transformation. You deserve quite a bat on the back for your efforts, Great work. Great videos

I had some Cray wheels (made by TSW) on my last Z06. It put out about 500hp and even after 8 years of "spirited" driving I never had an issue with the wheels. No warping, no stress fractures, nothing! My new one has a lot more power so I've had to go forged but those TSWs were great. Cheers, Sarah.

Hey Sarah, you definently need newbolts for your wheels. I dont know how its called in english but the edges of vw/audi bolts are round ballshaped „kugelbund“, the aftermarket wheels need straight coneshaped bolts „kegelbund“.

OK, a year-plus late, and maybe already mentioned but, add a thin layer of anti-seize where the wheel hub and brake rotor hub make contact and you will never have to punch the wheel to get it loose to take off again. And, I know YOU don't need to be told this but, make sure both surfaces are clean and dry of any contaminants beforehand!

Definitely waxing the wheels before they get covered in heavy brake dust helps when it comes time to clean them. Most people just hit them with harsh wheel cleaners scrub then that’s it 🤦‍♂️ If you wax them you don’t need anything more than the regular car soap and regular cleaning.
Normally I’m not a fan of saying this but yes definitely needs more low 🍺😂👍🏽

Those new wheels look sooooooooo much better than the stock option. Also, ceramic coating your wheels is a thing. I had it done on mine recently when I had the whole car coated, it's a good choice and makes it much easier to keep them clean.

By way of comparison... on human-powered bicycles it is said that 2 pounds off the wheels is like 4 pounds off the frame because it's rotating mass, so 3.8 pounds off each corner at the increased rotation of a car, that gives you much better acceleration and better braking.

  • @3Wheels1Block

Those wheels look spot on! That 240 reminds me of the one I had, same color. Loved that car, should have kept it😢 I kinda like the look of Mr. Dos without the fender... he looks battle ready. Teeter tot looks tons better than when you picked it up, you are making great progress!

They look good. Was looking to possibly doing something similar on my 05 gto, although one of the last owners already put some wide 19” ruff racing rims on the car, they’re chrome and the car is red. Black rims would look better and I’d just want a different design altogether

0:24 - not to be picky, but wheels don't mount to tires. Each tire is mounted on a wheel (rim).
Did you ask them to fill the tires with summer or winter air?
