Rough Trade closed the Brooklyn store and moved to Manhattan at 30 Rockefeller Center - between 49th & 50th Street and 5th & 6th Ave. and is now called Rough Trade NYC
we moved from Long Island to Florida last fall. these are my favorite record stores in order (favorite first): Looney Tunes in West Babylon, NY, Tiger Records in Jacksonville, FL, Sound Exchange in Pinellas Park, FL (Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater FL area), Mr. Cheapo in Commack, NY, Tonevendor in St. Augustine, FL., Hear Again Records in Gainesville, FL, Sounds Good Music in Port St. Lucie, FL, Record Stop in Patchogue, NY
If you ever find yourself in the West Palm Beach area I can’t recommend Rust and Wax enough. Solid inventory, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a good time all around!
I want to visit some of those stores you listed. Now here in Southern California we have Amoeba Records Hollywood(the old location was a little better) a great store of new and used cd and vinyl lps. Also Atomic Records, Burbank Ca. a great little store all used cd and vinyl, lots a great used records for fair prices. A few more great stores, Freakbeat Records, Sherman Oaks Ca, Rockaway Records, Los Angeles Ca, Gimme Gimme Records, Los Angeles Ca. ☮️✌️☮️
as a born-n-bred new yorker, i was probably one of the people you ran into at bleecker bob's...that was sad to see it go....also, tower records in times square...i loved the individual music playing in each 'genre'...however...one thing i do find frustrating in many cases are record stores with genres...except for classical, i like when everything else is simply a thru z....so often i look for, let's say nanci griffith, and i look in folk, then i find out they have an americana section or they mistakenly put it in country (which has happened on several occasions)...same thing with someone like led zeppelin or black sabbath...none in the rock section, only to discover that someone who doesn't know music put them in a heavy metal section instead....reasonable prices would be a huge factor on my list as well....and friendly and knowledgeable people like yourself doesn't hurt either....be well my friend...peace and good vinyl buying always...rocky
Was in Bleecker Bob’s every time I was in The City. I agree about not finding albums due to their being placed in a weird section. Thank you for watching
My son has been there and I have a T-shirt that I wear. Have not been in LA for 3 years now and last time was for family so no free time. It’s on my list to visit. Thank you for watching
cool video alex. i kick myself for not visiting a record store when i’ve been in amsterdam and hong kong. i never miss out on that these days when i’m on the road. didnt rough trade just leave brooklyn for manhattan? ive been doing a bunch of record store vids myself hope ya have a chance to check em out. i’m actually filming one about Other this week.
Great. I’ll check it out. Yes, I’ve heard they are in the process of moving to Rockefeller Plaza. Hopefully the store will still be of good size. Thank you for watching

I heard and am excited to see it in Manhattan. Thank you for watching
Twist & Shout sounds awesome! It sounds like the Cheapo stores in Minnesota. Especially since I am a CD buyer.
Great store. It’s always the ones that I’m least excited about that turn out to be great. Thank you for watching

Thank you for that list. Last time I was in LA I was with family and was unable to visit any record shops. Thank you for watching
I highly recommend Siren Records in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Their records are very well categorized by genre, and they have a lot of good stuff.
Thank you for the info. I used to travel to Pennsylvania quite often. I will definitely check it out if nearby. Thank you for watching

You should check out the Fifth Avenue Record Store in Park Slope Brooklyn NY. Ryan is very nice and he is the owner.
No Amoeba in L.A. or San Francisco? Its the best in the world! Also both in Pasadena: Canterbury and Poobahs!

Just a heads up, if you ever go to Japan and see "Tower Records" you aren't losing your mind. Tower Records is still alive and well in Japan.
