    We've just bought a plot of land and have Yellow Archangel and Scarlet Elfcups. I always find it amazing that so many plants considered invasive or weeds actually have uses. Thank you 😊

    I like herb Robert I use it like coriander. Some good finds there. I'll certainly be trying the archangel

      @danniinthewild  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh that’s cool! I must admit I don’t use it very often for foods as hate the smell… but I also hate coriander so maybe you found the link why! 🤣

    Ah this was great, and what a beautiful part of the world! Its not been a great year for velvet shanks down here on the Isle of Wight but I did manage to find a lil colony of elf cups this week 👌

      Thanks so much and it really is, I moved up north from the SE 12 years ago and just love the landscape here! I hear the island is beautiful too, I used to ride for a skate company called ‘Wight Trash’ in my younger years 🤣 but still yet to visit myself

    This is exactly the channel I have been looking for! Absolutely brilliant, full of really useful info. 👍 if you could do a foraging video every month like this, you will have a viewer for life! I'm gonna watch all your other videos too but am really into foraging at the moment, especially for medicinal plants.

    I hope you do do a video on giant hogweed as an edible because as far as I know it is poisonous!
    Ps herb Robert does smell disgusting lol

    • @danniinthewild
      @danniinthewild  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you’re right Giant hogweed is very toxic! Common hogweed is edible though, there are lots of good videos already on TH-cam from other foragers but I will do one as soon as it comes into season up here in Sheffield 🙌🏾🌱

    you cannot be foraging in the uk countryside w/o having a metal detector tagging along

    If you're going to say eat Gorse flowers then please let people know that too many will be toxic!

    • @danniinthewild
      @danniinthewild  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’d need to eat a lot of gorse flowers every day for a long time before you felt any ill effects from the slightly toxic alkaloids present. Many plants and mushrooms can have accumulative toxic effects if eaten in excess, as well as pretty much all of our processed food.
