Danni in the Wild
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 ม.ค. 2023
Hello! I'm Danni, you can usually find me in the woods or in my forest garden. I have been foraging for 20 years and love to learn and share my knowledge on the magic of wild medicinal plants and fungi!
I have been growing my own organic food for 10 years, and have spent the last 6 of those building an edible food forest on my 640sqm allotment site in the north of England. My growing style is based upon a mixture of permaculture & no dig methods, as well as biodynamic and lunar growing principles 🌙🌀
I also love to wildcraft and create lots of natural remedies and herbal lotions & potions, alongside homemade recipes from the food that I forage and grow.
Come and join me! 🍄🧺🌱

Magic & Rare Mushroom Foraging in December, UK
Join me for a blustery walk around the Yorkshire moors in search of wild food and fungi during December. We find some lesser seen Psilocybe fimetaria (alongside the more common semilanceata) and a walk across the ancient meadows grants us a glimpse of the rarer grassy Agaricus species, the giant macrosporus! We also spot a Gymnopilus - Big Laughing Jim, some delicious winter berries, and lots more along the way :)
Please remember to never eat any wild food, be it plant, fruit or fungi, unless you are 100% certain of its identity and always cross check your resources. Always do research before taking herbs internally, especially if you are pregnant, have severe allergies or a weakened immune system. Finally, remember to take only what you need from places of abundance… and always leave plenty for the wildlife too 🍄🐿️🌱 🦊
If you’d like to follow along for more foraging and forest garden content, you can join me over on all the socials @danniinthewild or you can order my book ‘THE FORAGER'S ALMANAC’ - geni.us/TheForagersAlmanac 📖🧺
Thanks for watching! :)

I also introduce you to Stuart, the stray tom cat who’s settled in nicely and made himself at home in the shed - though he’s still figuring out how to pull his weight around...

Do they grow on sheep dung too? 😊 ☮️
We are mushrooms having a human experience 🏴☠️
Neat!
Amazing stuff, how doe's your voice sound so clear out there?
"You're not allowed to cultivate them" she says, moments before scraping the spores into a cup of water then pouring the spore-bearing water over a freshly prepared box of wood chips.
God's gift for Christmas. Thank you so much 👍

This reminding me that I should really get out into nature more. We live on a beautiful island with alot to see if you know how to look.
Did you study botany or you just really passionate to know all this?
Just come across your channel ❤ if only more people where like you
I use to collect bird of prey feathers when i used my dslr and shroom hunted
I thought the frost kills the mushrooms off
Really informative. Thank you.
You sound so kind, gentle, and centered. Perhaps I need a walkabout in the forest. 🙏🏽
It turns out I really like watching you find mushrooms 😮
Marriage material her la
What a beautiful soul you are, am really enjoying watching your videos, you are living the life I want so your videos are really motivating me to move away an get out there an do it, thank you so much Hun 😊😉❤️
No mam it is illegal to find liberty caps after November max. How dare you. Those fims are shit I've tried them I'd rather eat the cow pat
I think I managed to stumble on my favourite channel, used to love going mushroom picking in Poland so great to see someone doing some home mushroom picking!
How do you know so much about mushrooms?
Does the white muchroom at 10.15 have philosibin on it?
Most people don't know how important fungi are.
Magic mushrooms saved my life
👍🏻
I still use preserved Fly agaric in my brews sometimes
No way i live in West Yorkshire and i missed it this year because of some major health issues with my brother I'm pretty sure I'm too late since its been iced over a few times I've been collecting them every year for about 7 years i once left my body for a Long time
Just wondering why not consume with alcohol? Thanks x
First time I have watched your channel, very nicely presented, didn't know that you could find magic mushrooms this late in the year, used to pick them many years ago about the end of August.
Team shroom! Let’s F’in Go! 💪🏼
Really enjoyed that, thank you 😊
Great vid Danni ,,,looks very much like Dartmoor 🍄🟫
Love this! Love your presentation! Thank you ❤ subbed 😊
🍄✨🤛
So nice! Thanks for sharing yer wisdom :)
Seen the Fimetaria before in the hills around Halifax. Stoodley Pike where the Battle Of Waterloo monument stands on it's own little hill is a nice little trek too, you can walk up onto the balcony and see all the people who've engraved their names in the stone over the centuries. Cheers for the video.
Amazing video, thank you for this great information. Subscribed!
I used to go to Edale in early Oct when i was younger in the early 90s for liberty caps, and we'd fill a carrier bag up each for 6-7 hours picking.
Wow great video, cant wait to whatch the more of them but im sure will make me miss the times i lived in the country side
First time I have seen your videos. Really enjoyed it, very interesting. I am very keen on wildlife but never really got further than the more common fungi.
You've made a number of elves and pixies homeless.
Are wavy caps still around 😅
I would call you a Fun Guy, but that joke doesn't work. 🍄
4to6 weeks is way too long.
Just a little idea for you; if you stretch that chicken wire you have the holes will be narrower prevent the rats getting through rather than doubling it up up.
What a good video! Will Danni be the next Richard Maybey?
