As always thanking you for knowledge. When you picked that Chicken of the woods i was expecting Foghorn leghorn to go oi 😄My two go two's are yourself and AlfieAesthetics marvelous Contents 😃
Thanks Danni, I was eating a white flower like elderflower the other evening while I was out with the dogs, it was very tasty but it wasn't from a tree, I wonder what it was, I was going to get some and make elderflower syrup, glad I didn't now.
@@danniinthewild quite sweet in a way, floral sweet taste, it was nice tbh, it wasn't unpleasant in any way that's why I was going to make syrup out them, the flowers were flat on the head and white growing by the sea on a path, lots other uncut vegetation around them.
They are pretty bitter when raw but are ok when cooked. I’ve read the tubers are edible but I have never tried them so can’t comment on palatability! 😄
I always thought they would be poisoness mahonia berries. Great to know. I've got numerous very mature specimens, most are over 6 feet tall and covered in them.

They also grow as shrubs and sometimes in hedging! What did it taste like?

Thank you for the good video has helped me identify a few things. Didn't know bugel was edible, as I have heard conflicting things about it.

@@danniinthewild bugel tubers havn't heard of that one before 🤔 I also think teasel looks like horseradish. I almost mistook it once 😊
Mahonia berries? I know them as Oregon Grapes. Are they the same thing?
Yeah! Likely different varieties but we have many hybrids here and some sold as Oregon grapes 🍇
I got so much oregano right now... Its getting ready to flower...
Oh I love it when it flowers!!! Enjoy!
@@danniinthewild I pick it first... I will leave some flower, but it's one of the few herbs that air dries very well... So I dry a lot of it.

Oh awesome! Yes they’re pretty underrated in my opinion but then again I do love a tart berry! 😄
@@danniinthewild has to be gluten free unfortunately for me. And pastry is awful that way.
Oh haha I mean tart as in sharp! (But do love a berry tart too😄🥧)
@@danniinthewild supposed they would go very well in a smoothie or sorbet.
