My parents owned the local Pub when I was growing up. We had Galga in there for a few years, and I spent endless hours on that machine. So for me that stand up arcade council is the jewel of this game room. Awesome video
4:09 those boxes r so cool. I have a ninja turtles one in my closet right now haha I found it at my moms a few months ago and brought it home. Its filled with a bunch of old baseball cards, toys, and just random stuff from my bedroom when I was a kid. It was like finding a time capsule.
Wow this guy likes almost all of the stuff I grew up loving and some stuff I haven't seen since I was a kid and forgot I loved it. Awesome collection. I could spend weeks there without coming out
I remember watching Camp Candy on Saturday Mornings when I was a kid. I am now 49. Also, on the wall right behind Butt Wagon, there is a sign for FuncoLand. I used to work for them. FuncoLand evolved to what is known as Game Stop.
Thanks so much! It's been a really long road and about 5 different game rooms to get to this point. Stuff is just way too pricey now. It's a lot harder to start right now until prices hopefully go down someday.
While it definitively helps to be wealthy it's also about what you prioritize. If you consistently settle on a cheaper car, vacation, phone etc than you could otherwise afford that alone will typically save you tens of thousands over a longer period which can then be spent on your hobby/passion, be it video games related or otherwise.
Camp Candy was NOT Canada only. Was on NBC for only a year in 89'. In the "third" season he would do live action parts to each episode as well. Was so pumped as a kid after having seen The Great Outdoors when this came along. There were ALOT of good cartoons in the late 80's early 90's that stuck around NOT very long as I remember. HUGE 'Memba Berries situation.
Man I think the one I got is 24" toshiba 2003 maybe more or less but that thing was not easy to carry 3 floors alone lol I was holding on for dear life but I managed it. Lol. It was only 20 bucks about 2 months ago I got it and they go for at least 200 on ebay so it's not a slouch of a tv. But it does have this wierd issue with orange redish colors having a sharp knife sticking out so geometry may be on its way out or the tv needs adjusting or fixing.
You guys would've been around 2 when camp candy came on so you would've been to young. I was 7 when it premiered on Saturday morning on nbc in 1989 and watching it for the 3 seasons it came on! I'd watch that and captain n on nbc! Def a great cartoon worth checking out or rewatching
And a crt that works lol I got a toshiba 2003 for dirt cheap two months ago for 20 bucks (p.s it's easier to get stuff cheaper in the hood lol) the same one goes for 200 at the least on ebay etc. Only issue it has this wierd red issue like a box in crash cart racing has the red sticking to the side pointy so idk if it's that color specifically causing it or it's having geometry issues. I don't think it's geometry cause I believe its only the color doing it. But for the price and it actually turns on ehh lol. At least it works. Wii is trash with composite tho. I need to get a component cable which the tv thankfully has at least one port for. Cod 3 is blurry as heck as well as the wii version being trash.
@robmalcolm8042 I remember my grandparents having a 40 some inch crt and it was in an a shallow entertainment center. To the extent they had a contractor build a box for the back of it to extend into the closet behind. My dad and I had to pick it up and move it to our place and holy crap we needed piano movers
@brandonm6052 foreal even just medium sized crts are no joke can't imagine 40 inch I've seen pics of some of the older ones built into furniture but yeah man crts are a treasure played wii and ps1 which I got for really good prices not too long ago and they work so good no lag at all with controls. Opened the ps1 too to see if any leaky capacitors and all I seen was the white glue ish stuff so it's just the glue to stop them from moving couldn't believe it and it's the older fat ps1.
That guy has a JVC D Series in his game room; a lot of people have Sony Trinitrons in their game rooms. His TV looks like the one Steve from Retro Tech had (his was black) because it’s a 36 inch set.
C'mon Rick, how have you not seen Camp Candy? My VHS copy You came from my childhood video store, I believe the whole series has been found minus I believe at least two episodes
Regret selling my 60k video game collection... had to do it to move but now seeing this makes me wanna start again. I had a complete n64 collection snes and neo

Worthless corporate shill.
I feel like this game room tour could have been 3 hours long, and we all wouldn't have mind. So much cool stuff.
with all that, his favorite game is Halo
At least 30 episodes
That’s not a collection. That’s a damn historical archive
Pristine!!!! No kids allowed.
Fr 😂
FR😂 no grubby hands. No kids touching. Everything behind lock n key. Diffently keep Low-key on your collection whereabouts 😅
No it isn’t. It’s cold over priced a holes
@@Monkeygameing69fr fr 😅
Just an opportunity to spend some time walking around there would almost be like a healing room to get that joy back for a snippet! Well done sir

Man galaga is such a classic.
Avgn doesn’t get the respect he deserves. His videos were definitely the spark for a lot of us
Why you think that? He has millions of followers and 100s of million views thoughtout his videos.
Man, this video should've easily been 3x longer than it was! Amazing.
It's amazing what he has collected from the 80's and 90's era of gaming. 👍👍👍
so clean, everything is very well put together in this modern way
4:09 those boxes r so cool. I have a ninja turtles one in my closet right now haha I found it at my moms a few months ago and brought it home. Its filled with a bunch of old baseball cards, toys, and just random stuff from my bedroom when I was a kid. It was like finding a time capsule.
I'm from Florida and I remember watching Camp Candy so it was in the USA for sure. Great throwback!
And Camp Candy was always followed by Captain N: The Game Master where I live. So good 👍
Me too
I'm from Canada and this brought back memories I forgot I had! 😊
I'm from the netherlands and i watched the show here also on cartoon network. Good times!
What a awesome looking room. Love seeing Chrono Trigger playing in the background.
This is what I hope my collection becomes one day, the perfect mix of toys and games ❤
This is amazing...his own personal vintage nerd cave...considering its in his basement...impressive
Wow this guy likes almost all of the stuff I grew up loving and some stuff I haven't seen since I was a kid and forgot I loved it. Awesome collection. I could spend weeks there without coming out
This dude needs to open a museum.
This video made me smile SO much. Great collection 💯💥😱
Omg, I forgot all about Camp Candy! I remember watching that cartoon as a kid.
That guy is cool. Would love a friend like that, such a sweet place to just hang out and chill.
That's very kind. Thanks so much for watching me ramble. Lol

we couldn’t afford new games so we’d go to funcoland, good times!
Amazing room, and amazing people. I always wanted something like this, but war got in the way. Glad to see people still njoy these kinds of things.
Oh man I remember when I was little I use to play dream phone with my sister she loved that game it was pretty fun to be honest.
Crazy collection
OMG that is a freaking crazy game room could you imagine! And I thought I had a decent one I have over 100 consoles but that’s just crazy.
What the heck!!! Nielsens Art & Video Games was my game store when I was a kid in Richland, WA. What a blast from the past showing the commercial!!
Camp candy came on tv in the US as well. Used to watch it in the 80s
Same!
Me too!
I want to say it was late 80s early 90s. I remember watching it on Saturday mornings during a cartoon block. I sorta still remember the theme song.
The guy is rockin' a Sunset Riders t-shirt! Instant friendship!
You're too easy! 🤣
Seriously that shirt is so cool. I wonder where he got it.
That’s a crazy game room! Love the back to the future stuff!
Imagine having friends that would come over to game , that’s the dream
Absolutely mind blowing🤯🤯🤯
Wow... just wow. I am speechless. Amazing collection. And so much space for it, I am jealous 🤣
Thanks for watching!!!
I’m dying over the yoshi’s island banner or whatever it is behind the couch.
Seeing rooms like these has me hopeful that in 10 years mine too, will look like this, but from the nes, snes, n64 era and onward.
What a collection..😮
Amazing collection! I know this wasn't put together over night but I am always shocked on how people can afford it.

Wow what a room
This is a museum!!
2:08 lol Foul on the play! Excessive madness!
That's an awesome gameroom!
I love it when people got CRT TVs hooked up to retro systems ..👌
What an amazing room tour. I'd love to have that enough space so display my stuff
I remember renting n64 console from blockbuster in the 90s.
I just got my Sharp Twin Famicom back after sending it out for repairs. I love that thing, I play it more than my NES.
Daaaaamn son! / Sweden
Shenmue 3! It's a better game than a lot of people give it credit for!

My last CRT before I got my first Plasma was a 35" RCA. You had to wear work gloves to move that thing around or it would cut into your hands!

Great room and organization! Have a game room and a movie room sounds great, adding the others, wild

100% remember watching Camp Candy as a kid, lived in the Albany NY area at the time!
Where you live now? I used to live in NYC my whole life until about 6 years ago. I'm in jersey now.

3:17 I had that Nintendo shelf thing... such a massive wave of nostalgia hit me when I saw that. Wow...
I had a huge crush on Elisabeth Shue back in the day with Adventures in Babysitting and Cocktail. I totally forgot about Camp Candy.
we used to watch adventures in babysitting a lot when we were growing up. i remember at first i thought it was called adventures in baby city.
Incredible
Honestly left me speechless 😮
Awesome game room 😊
That summerslam 94 chair. My god…
I love seeing collections of passionate people! So well done! ❤
That United center chair has my Chicago heart racing
Crazy game room, I would have to do this after I know I want be moving out of the house in the future 😂
Wow
Absolutely amazing
Rick is just picking shit up and touching everything and the owner is cool as a cucumber. LOL
Have friends over to play video games. They'd surely need classic snacks as well as mt. dew or surge to complete the ambiance.

The editing, man... Keep the camera still, no fancy editing is required. The mere stuff you show is awesome enough.
This...wauw. This is next level collecting!!😍 i fckin love it & seeing rick with such a huge smile all the time is a long time ago 🥰👌
Love seeing game rooms! So much cool stuff in there! 🔥
It's like a museum
Camp Candy was also on Fox Kids here in the states! Along with Bobby's World and Life with Louie.
Who would rent a GBA?! Me. I did 😂
This is a fantastic collection! Tons of 80s and 90s gems

I have that Camp Candy Christmas VHS but I’m also in Canada.
NEW CRAP?! YOU TAKE THAT BACK RICK!
I’m pretty sure he was joking; everybody accepts the live action was garbage, at best “so bad it’s good” territory
1:16 OH NO!!!!!!! MARIO'S MISSING!!!!!! Someone call Luigi STAT!!!!!
" Maaarrriiiooo.....???"
"Mario?!?!"
😂😂😂
Don’t f$@& ! With the babysitter! 😂
Good stuff, keep up the great work.
