I own this and I tighten the shoe just enough to hold it , but you can still push it back to disengage the detent, angle the shoe and push it back without using the wrench. The dewalt, I wasn't as impressed with. If you back the saw up in wood while cutting, the metal blade lever vibrates open enough to drop the blade out. There are a couple videos that show this happening. Love this Milwaukee saw.

Dust extraction will work better with the front guard, heads up

Good review Clint!👍 Next time you do a cordless jigsaw review can you possibly include a cut on 1/8' - 1/4' mild steel? I use my old Bosch 1587 quite a bit on steel (1/4inch and under). I have been wondering how a cordless jigsaw would perform on this type of material. I recently had to do some intricate metal cuts on a job , 30 feet up on a ladder. It was no fun and very unsafe fighting an extension cord.

I love this tool and will probably buy it soon. I want a cordless jigsaw so I don't have a cord getting in the way when making curved cuts. Not sure why anyone would want to use dust collection with a cordless tool and have a tube getting in the way. Defeats the main purpose of being cordless.

Wish it had lever for angle cuts, but then again how often is a curved mitre needed, the blower is amazing to keep line of sight clear.

Nice vid! Can you set and forget speed now w/ dual? & doesn’t it have the plastic front plate That you could/would use with the vacuum to better direct suction? I’m leaning more towards this vs D handle, bevel adjustment is whatever for my usage but no trigger 🤔

Hey Clint I always trust your reviews. Tell me brother in your opinion which one is the best between the Barrel or the D grip?

Man I'm torn, seems like M18 barrel or D are both great tools. Either would be precise enough for what I need. Flip a coin?
