Material Lab is awesome, probably one of the best market freebies i have received. The stream was also very informative based on a step by step case study of creating an animated button using various tools from the lab - highly advise checking it out.
Holy cow, I was just going to compliment Unreal Engine/Epic for releasing such content before I realized this was YOU! incredible incredible incredible. Slate is something that is sorely needing this kind of content for unreal, and this is a fantastic resource
I just noticed this asset, but usually content, assets and stuff you transfer via "migration". Textures and material will only work if you migrate it properly.
This would have been an infinitely better video if you showed and example of how to apply one of these effects to a widget instead of just describing what you see on screen.
@@SmartPoly clearly there is more to just making a widget to get these effects to work. Otherwise this UI pack wouldn't need to exist. I've made plenty of widgets but they're static images or progress bars. There's an extra step somewhere in there of creating the proper material and making use of this UI library. My feedback was that you just talked through what you saw on screen but you didn't show any examples of how to apply the effects or use them in the widgets that we already have. That would have been much more useful since all of us can just open the project and read the tabs and widget names on our own.

Hey there, do you cover procedural generation and substrate from 5.2 in your course?
this link is busted or something, I go there, and it's just a blank white page with nothing to click on :/
Yeah would love a breakdown video for some of the features
