  • In this tutorial we look at the UI Material lab from the unreal engine online learning category. It is a great place to start learning about some material possibilities. In this video we go through how you can go about dissecting and learning about specific materials in the project.

    Superb walk through. It would be great to be able to dive deeper into each material and understand the logic of what each one does. Thanks for taking us through it. 👍

    Excellent tutorial! Would you recommend importing the whole project file into my main project? Or only take what I think is needed.

    For materials in general, not specifically UI do you know if there's anything similar?

    Can you make a tutorial on how to convert those materials to ue4?

    • @LeafBranchGames
      @LeafBranchGames  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can put it on my to do list. But it should for the most part be exactly the same as the material are in the UE5 project, just a bit messier since you can't use the reroute nodes.

      Named reroutes are available (at least in 4.27), but I think some functions they use like “Length” need to be replaced with equivalent ones like “Vector2 Length”
      I was able to port all of the project to UE 4 without issues by copy/pasting the material functions graphs and fixing things that needed it

    Why aren't there sufficient people who make animated material tutorials on TH-cam?
