Lookin good. 👍
Thank you!
Didn't have to exacto knife the edges at all? That's nice.
I don't think I have one actually
I was thinking about doing this same thing inside my Tesla, but like your Toyota, there are several other trim pieces that would need to be blacked out to make it look consistent. I think I'll just stick to the blacked out emblems on the outside instead. Every example I've found on doing this to the interior doesn't achieve better aesthetics like it does on the exterior.
I can understand that. I like to do more on the interior of this tundra but at the moment I can't find the time to, and it just doesn't seem like it's worth the time for the end result of the look
Why not just tape of the whole perimeter of the emblem? Why leave the edges? Will it come out fine if I tape the whole border off or do I have to do it this way?
Plastidip works better if u leave a small outer perimeter and can peel it off after it's dried some. It will cut itself on the emblem it's pretty good stuff esp for emblems like that. I have a few other videos that explains it more
@@AthenasGarageOffical also would it adhere to the surface better if I sand it down with 1000 grit sand paper a little before applying plastidip?
Yes it will, also if you add a small amount of like armorall or something similar to the outside of the emblem where you will be over spraying it will come off even easier. Just don't get it on the emblem as it will not stick
could you pop off the emblem, paint it, and put it back on?
Potentially yes but have to take apart the air bag and it's not something i wanted to mess with
Great vedioe, how long does it last?
Still on there now, hasn't faded, peeled, or even scratched.
You should remove the horn fuse before doing this so you're not annoying yourself or your neighbors.
That's a really good idea!
Don’t do this guys this guys not smart
Worked for me 🤷
there´s no need to be rude man...😕
When you tell others not to do it, you have to give a reason. Otherwise, you made yourself look like a fool.
Thanks for the comment 🙂
