I agree with the Mediterranean diet. Every time I go home, I’m great. This May, my walking improved and that’s amazing for me considering that in 2021, after my last ms relapse, I was afraid to go out because I lost my legs due to the symptoms I was experiencing. Im not the same as I was in 2019, but I am walking and it’s fantastic. I need to go home more often 😔
Hello dr. Anderson, I was born on the Mediterranean sea, the Northern part called Adriatic sea. All that you imagine about the Mediterranean diet, was not there. Pork, fish, butter, sparingly use of olive oil (not the right latitude), cauliflower, bitter veggies, sauerkraut, sausages, ham and salami, prosciutto, shellfish... all this but still on the Mediterranean shores. What you call Med. diet is about the island of Crete in the past century, where the inhabitants were poor, Christian orthodox, living on an rocky island backed by the sun. They were fasting, for economical and/or religious reasons, almost every day. Nothing to do with the food quality, the quantity was the matter apparently. Fact, the Mediterranean diet as an "unicum" does not exist. What did they eat in Marseilles? And in Morocco? Or in Turkey? As far as I see, the modern Med. diet is a diet without starches (for growing which you need a lot of water, not easy in Crete) and sugary food in general, both inflammatory "by definition" (coal and hydrogen are inflammable substances). 😀
Totally agree. Such thing called "Mediterranean diet" doesn't exist, it is something invented in the US. I am from central Spain. My grandparents consumed a lot of animal products, mostly pork and mostly in a fatty cold meat form, raw milk, cheese, butter, beef, lamb, some potatoes, some vegetables and a lot of bread (they were from a rural area, no so well-to-do, and you know, the bread is the most cheap and less nutritious solution for the masses). The human species is the only one in the whole animal kingdom who doesn't know his specific diet.
I’m surprised you didn’t include removing foods from the nightshade family (tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes, chilli etc) as they can often cause inflammation
I absolutely support this.. not only from scientific standpoint.. when being in greece.. just sticking to fruit, vegetables and protein in different varieties.. i lost weight and stopped craving.. i just felt satisfied and it was perfect. But being home again, it changes because of availability and .. somehow climate? Don‘t know how to describe it 😊
So interesting! Thanks! I'm confused about auto immune protocol aka "paleo" - because it seems like an elimination testing diet where your goal is to add things back in like legumes and see how you feel. Actual Mediterranean countries have pastas and flat breads made from garbanzo beans (socca in Provence). And they have social support networks that we don't have in industrialized small town/rural USA where people don't rely on their gardens for food - they eat fast food or food from Walmart.
Could you make a video elaborating on organic germanium or germanium sesquioxide? I personally would really like to try it but it seems like the FDA and other regulatory boards don't seem fond of it and it's difficult to even find it to purchase anywhere. The science of this trace mineral makes sense in terms of health benefits but I would like to make sure it is safe before I try it
Hi Dr A. I'm wanting to get a couple of biofilm and antifungal supplements from your website. Some have a rice chelate in them - will this cause a slight gluten reaction? I emailed last week but haven't gotten a response. Love your videos thank you
Hello Dr. A. I love your videos. I’ve been really interested in purchasing methylene blue but have no idea where to start for a reputable source. Is there any direction you can point me to. I’m in Southern Ca and don’t know of any doctor around here that knows much about it. Thank you
Hi! I have chronic gastritis. When I was inadvertently given a supplement that contained dexamethasone, my gastritis fully resolved, I was fine for 2 years that I took it. However as i discontinued, eventually my symptoms returned. I was diagnosed via endoscopy, negative for pylori. I’m considering going back to that supplement, my symptoms are severe and I am losing weight. Would you have any opinion on this?
I am sorry to be a spoiler but born on mediterranium diet and got severe ra for 20 years. Only carnivore 3 months is helping my metabolic problems. Just meat fish and eggs.
Thats because we've been fooled and lied to. I've seen many people having long term issues with med diet but never carnivore. Carnivore with red meat is appropriate for human beings and is backed by most hard science fields, one of them being stable isotopes from 2019. No diet shows hard health outcomes in humans so this vegan and meds diets are pure propaganda.
There has been no study that actually compares and competes those diets that you mention, I’d bet. You probably have to experiment with each, and see what results you get.
Actually carnivore +'small amounts of fermented foods like raw milk kefir, sauerkraut, long fermented yogurt would yield probable best outcomes thanks to lactobacillus ruiteri
Yeah I tried vegan, carnivore, paleo. I've landed on Mediterranean as the sustainable one. The only processed food I do is teff bread and protein powder like hemp or pea. The rest is veg, meat, a piece of fruit perhaps per day and certainly no sugary treats. I can't tolerate eggs, legumes, corn, cow dairy, wheat or soy so it's modified like you describe for most grains and intolerances, as well as nightshades. It works well. It's kind of like the autoimmune protocol really.
Good content; however the jumpy/jagged video editing makes it hard to watch. PLEASE use better video-editting software, to smooth out the rough cutting.
Double chins also show up with age in many normal weight people due to gravity and the natural shrinking of the cranium and jaw later in life. Even if he or anyone else met your standards for appearance, how could you be certain it came about naturally? Maybe research his career as well before determining his content is without merit.

You know you can take the recipes with you, right? Or kidnap your grandma? 😉 Joking aside I wish you a speedy improvement for your health! ❤
That’s great to hear you’re feeling better, thank you for sharing some of your story - Team Dr A
An episode on biofilms/heavy metals for Joint replacement folks would be great!

Potatoes and grains aggravate my inflammation. There are only a few spices that don’t aggravate my GI system

That makes a lot of sense, the sourcing of our food can make a big difference. Thanks for sharing - Team Dr A
Great video - again! Thanks.

Yes all those factors come into play, as well as the source of our foods in the US vs those other countries. Thanks for your support! - Team Dr A
Social and family support, deep roots, as a way of life. We don’t have that at all here.

Ideal for people diagnosed with LP?

We’ve gotten a lot of requests for reputable sources we’ll see if Dr A wants to weigh in on this soon - Team Dr A

Is the Mediterranean diet better for auto immune diseases than the AIP diet, non-Fodmap or carnivoire diet?
There has been no study that actually compares and competes those diets that you mention, I’d bet. You probably have to experiment with each, and see what results you get.
Carnivore for 100% certainty

inflammation, as in having a high CRP? - 'cause that's what I have. CRP 25!
Do you currently see patients?
Unfortunately he isn’t taking new patients but you can check the description for integrative doctor referral links to find one near you - Team Dr A
Why hasn’t Doctor A reversed his own chronic illness? We see the double chin…. Isn’t obesity a chronic illness? We need to practice what we preach
