You are correct in the around 70% of the weight, if the legpress is at a 45 degree angle, if you do the trigonometri the vector of force is about 70% of gravity. Once again the broscience intution is 10 steps ahead of the pencil neck details
You're actually pretty much dead-on with the 70% figure in the leg press. Since gravity acts purely downwards but the sled is forced to go on a 45 degree tilt, you get that the component of gravity that is pushing the plates is actually sin(45⁰) ≈ 0.707, so you multiply that with whatever weight you're pushing to get how much "effective" weight your legs are pushing in that plane of motion
Rick the Stick Del Hagen you're a bro science master. if its a 45 degree leg press, the force you need to overcome would indeed be about 70% of the true weight. cos(45) is about 0.7. Excellent work once again M'stick

Bugez I appreciate you taking on the fact that old school bodybuilders (and some nowadays as a byproduct) recommend eating absolutely disgusting meals like unseasoned chicken/tilapia with unseasoned white rice and frozen green beans. I have absolutely never understood it, and especially after I saw a video of the first ifbb pro from India seasoning the shit out of his chicken, it emphasized how weird that all is.
