Good video man, I 100% agree with you in the sense that, if my son buys me a gas station $10 knife, that's my favorite blade, it beats my $360 para 3 all day everyday, keep it up man, small channels like yours and mine need consistency and we'll get there, can't wait for you to blow up bro!
I picked up one of those a while back, as I really liked its appearance. It seems pretty decent. At the moment though, I've put up my beloved Wave and I've been EDCing a Gordon from Harbor Frieght. So far, no real issues, other than the knives being too stiff to deploy one handed.
Thank you for the feedback. I've been recording content primarily for TikTok which uses a 9:16 format. TH-cam is the opposite with 16:9. I'm working to upgrade my recording set-up and equipment to allow for a wider frame while retaining quality for when cropping to fit different platforms.
I don’t know if I trust them yet for any lighting need. Some of their earlier stuff was junk but if these new tools have anything to say for the direction of the company, it might be worth looking into again.
Of course... even if the quality was poor, I'd still brag on it because it was a gift. I'm thankful though, that this one is actually decent and can handle most tasks you throw at it.
I started looking at Swiss tech multitools and as I was looking through I kept upgrading and somewhere in the process I lost the pocket clip and didn’t realise. Now I have a surge clone, great, but no pocket clip which I really wanted. Grrrrrrr. Looking into a way of adding one in.
I have one of these and its ok. I wonder about the quality of the steel in the knife. It does have a little more wiggle than my Leatherman Wave. I do like the micro screwdriver.
I was curious too so I did some research. According to the online description at Walmart, this is Aus-8 steel. Not high end but not terrible and with moderate edge retention. I see Aus-8 in a lot of kitchen knives.
@@BeardedBargainEDC Thats good to see. Makes it a much more serviceable tool. One of the screws holding the pliers together came lose but i was able to put some loctite in and its holding.
@@colehorton8092 I carried mine from Christmas morning through this past Sunday. Now that my son is back in school, I don’t feel so bad for putting my leatherman back into rotation. No issues and will definitely see more use in the future.

Really cool. Nice your son gifted that to you. I'm gonna have to check one of those out.
If you would record in landscape instead of portrait we could see much more in the frame and larger too.

I definitely want one cause I love the look of the thing.
Great to see a proud dad with good values (having nice tools).

My condoleance for the Arc
Ha. The Arc is still my daily driver. But I had to give this thing some love because it was a gift. It’s really a solid tool for the $50 price point.
100% a Leatherman Wave copy
For sure. You know what they say… “Imitation is the best form of flattery.”
Every muli tool ever created is technically 100% a leatherman copy.
Thats simplifying it a bit much@@keeperoftruth5951
