I bought the triple black GT. Got an after market windscreen taller than stock that was a direct bolt on replacement, dark grey color. I also have the Triumph sport panniers bags and tank pads. I installed mini floor boards that are really good for comfort and keeping your feet from slipping off the pegs at high speeds. Great bike very fun to ride!
I own a 2015 Triumph Rocket III. I am 6'2" 212 Lbs. I rode from California to Florida ( over 6,000 miles) and ALL across the United States. VERY comfortable and easy to ride. It doesn't have cruise control or hazzard lights, but plenty of room for luggage ( large gym bags, Luggage rack, etc). The power is addicting! I will be buying a new 2024 Rocket III for the cruise control and navigation. If you are timid, this ain't the bike for you. This is a MAN'S MOTRCYCLE. If you buy it, you will love it.
Was told by an owner of the previous model and the new one, that there is a world of difference between the old Rocket 3 and the new model, much more easier to ride, lighter, more equipments and assistance if you need them, I would not have bought the old one, but I am considering the new…
I have a 2020 R3 and I have driven it hundreds of miles on the highway and I had no problem at all. I am 6 feet tall and 210. I ride very comfortably on it and love the bike.
If you want touring comfort, buy a Cadillac. I've just bought an R3 and love it, it is so much better in every possible way to any Harleys that I have ever owned.
Yer high if you think this is bad on the highway. I've ridden 2800 miles on my TR3GT. It's wonderful, but everyone has their own tastes. Just purchased it in September 2022.
Having owned three late model Harleys, and now the owner of a 2022 Rocket GT, I can personally confirm from experience that the Rocket is also not good at adventure riding 😂. Seriously though, I sold my 2021 FatBoy and bought my Rocket a couple of years ago, and the Rocket is superior in every respect, including highway riding. Same for the Night Trains I previously owned. The way to fix the performance of the Rocket including the vibration on acceleration is the have it Dyno end. Mine is 172hp at the back wheel, which with the 12% loss at the crank, is over 190hp. I agree that depending on your body size some modifications might be required to the bars, pegs and seat, but nothing a Harley rider would be unfamiliar with. I had the same issues with my Harleys.
@Shalin I find it comical the poster said, "85+ gets a little rough but not a dealbreaker. No need to be in that big of a rush anyways." What a stupid comment to post as an owner of this bike. I ride a 2018 VMax and my bike handles phenomenally well at 145+

Otherwise turn the key fob off when you aren't riding, or change the battery in the fob if you can't seem to remember that. I’ve got a Rocket 3R Black, but with GT bars and touring seat, but kept the mid-set pegs. I find this much more comfortable and it is much easier to handle. I find the GT screen creates more buffeting, so naked all the way!!
OC. I have the Rocket 3 R Black with windshield, backrest, luggage rack, quickshifter, heated grips and Bluetooth connectivity for navigation. Didn't get the bags, though - they are small, soft, with a zipper and an extra cover to become waterproof. The overall experience with this absolute torque beast is phenomenal, especially in the mountains and on the highway. The latter has partially no speed limit in Germany, so I found around 150mph manageable, but up to 100mph comfortable for longer rides. I'm annoyed only by the recurring notifications that the key is out of range or has low battery, even after the latter was replaced twice. Other than this minor detail, I find this bike perfect. FYI, the GT has different seat, handlebars and footpeg positioning, geared towards comfort rather than handling. Try both to see what fits you.
I have the triple black GT limited edition but with the footpads in the R position. The GT handlebars are swept further back for a more comfortable riding position. My best ever bike.
For highway I fitted a powerbronze screen to my R and makes a huge difference at 80mph but most of time run as is, cos looks so damn low n mean 😎 😆 btw Sport mode makes a big difference to mpg Chase, so put in Road, no need for Sport for cruising, still hugely torque … short shifting and have got close to 190 miles + range, have averaged 42mpg over entire ownership… have ridden for 9 hours and super comfortable, zero fatigue but you want long arms.. and compared to a Diavel the Rochet is super smooth, it’s a 2500cc motor yet way smoother than any vtwin out there. I grip the tank with the tank pads :) just ignore the key fob message ******* it’s a keyless range thing, and you learn to stay in place and doesn’t ache Chase so I think comes down to sport v cruise riding style. OC
This motorcycle is for the taller larger man of the world. Yes, the torque is massive, and you will feel like you are being blown away. Arm and shoulder strength is recommended but it takes time to get used to the wind blast. I remember my very first ride onto the highway on a Triumph Bobber 1200CC, I actually thought about returning it. I had never experienced wind like that before, being that I mainly drove a car. I've been on a Ducati SS and my legs were limp at the end of the ride due to the bend angle on my knees. Triumph made the Rocket 3R Black Roadster edition specifically for the Man that fall in the 6 ft + and can man handle an 800lb beast.
@Shalin316 No way, 117lbs. That’s like placing a sheet of paper on the seat. The torque is amazing on this motorcycle and the best way to find out is test it for yourself.
Not a lot of things are built for 6+ man meats of the world. The rocket fits perfect for my frame at 6’2. I do see guys going by and you can see that they look a bit too big for the bike especially sports bikes.
OC: I'd definitely go for the GT over the 3R black edition for touring. That added comfort the GT would provide would make long road trips so much more enjoyable. The Rocket 3R Black is still an awesome bike. Maybe if they sell enough Triumph may just release a new Daytona.🤞🤞
I bought the GT but still felt the wind protection was anemic over 80 mph. So I bought an after-market screen which wasn't overly big, but large enough to make blasting down the highway fun again.
@@justhavinagoodtime It's a brand called California Scientific. The black Rocket in the pictures is actually mine, the owner used my bike to create a Rocket 3 windshield for their catalog.
Having traded a 2020Gsxr1000r 200hp sports bike for a Rocket3 R i have no regrets absolutly fantastic bike and handles great concidering its size and weight Triumph made a fantastic job on this bike puts a smile on my face every time i get on it and i just love watching John Deere;s sorry i ment Hardly Movin Sons dissapearing into the distance i my mirrors.
Now you should try the same thing with the GT after to compare. Not only the Sissy bar and the windscreen, it also has a more comfortable seat, forwards pegs and handlebar is closer to you. It also has handbars heater. I left a deposit on a GT Triple Black and plan to use it for touring. Would be great to hear your comparison between both.
Tried the GT (not black edition, which anyway is just a collectible for too much money), and I will never say it enough : Rocket 3 IS NOT a cruiser, even with Triumph trying to put windscreen, front foot controls and higher bar. It is a POWER roadster. I finally bought a nice R3R (hate the fake cruiser style of th GT), and it is exactly that : TOO MUCH power and torque, you need to be a lumberjack to throw it in curves for more than 10mn, nut man this is exactly what I was looking for😁 Don't even bother trying it if you're looking for a cruiser.
@@dimitripinto4747 you can't get too much money as you can't get too much power. But hey, I respect your thoughts and sincerely do not really care if people like my bike or not, I bought it for my own pleasure. By the way, not sure you can get a good idea only with a road test. Mine now has 13.500 km and I just get back from a 4300km trip in 11 days and it was amazing. I had the 25L Triumph luggage on it + a SW-Motech drybag 350 and it was like nothing was on it. All the power makes it a blast to run and it was still as nimble as if nothing was on its back. And no need to work it hard on twisties. Off course, if you try to make it lean with your weight you'll find it hard. But just use counter sterring as you should on every bike and it will flick right at the moment you think about doing it. It is surely not as comfortable as a Goldwin but I'm 47 and no pain at all after the trip. Only downside honestly, the gas tank is too small. Made 277km on my longest ride.
I rode my Vmax from Florida to D.C. in 1997. I loved that bike. If you're going to ride a Muscle Cruiser you need to love the wind in your chest, even at speeds over 100 mph. The only complaint I had was stopping every 110 miles for gasoline, due to the small gas tank.
My 2012 rocket 3 is by far the most comfortable bike ive ever riden. It handles like a champ on the highway. Its also has a bit more weight than the new body style. Pretty sure the tires were larger on mine vs the new version. Ive enjoyed the rocket more than my sport bikes. You also only feel that push at a stand still and you dont notice after the first day or so.
OC - Chase I think you are just not used to no fairing. I can ride my xdiavel at 80 with no hands. And it has no windscreen at all. And I am 260+ so I am a bill board. The little windscreen is only going to push the air into your helmet instead of chest.
I ride a Harley Street Bob with no fairing. It’s perfect for commuting and cruising. I run 70 to 80 on the highway and it is fine. It’s a little gusty over 80 my comfort zone is in the 80’s so it’s fine for me. If I was going to do long tours I might get a fairing but I don’t spend all day on mine. It has the mid controls with forward mustache bar to rest my feet. I don’t leave them out front that long. I’ll put my feet out to stretch out but have never adapted that as my default position.
Owned an R for several months. Thing is completely fine on the freeway, in fact very comfortable, i can not understand the complaints about wind at all.
I have a Rocket (2022) GT. I have seen several videos where fuel mileage is mentioned. Did you notice it has a large engine? An engine displacement of 2458cc. What is so damn important about gas mileage. I owned a 2002 Boss Hoss 502CI bike as well. It got 8 miles per gallon. I don't care what kind of mileage it gets. I didn't purchase the thing for great fuel mileage. I purchased the Rocket because of its engineering and design.
My old 2012 Rocket was about the same on the highway, above 85 and it was tough, however, I did have a bit of a bigger fly screen, and i had highway pegs so i could stretch out my legs ( i commuted 80 miles a day on it, mostly on the toll road where the speed limit is 85. If i wanted to go faster, i would often put my feet on the rear passenger pegs to adopt a more sport bike position, and I could easily cruise at over 100 like that. I actually have this new black edition being shipped to me currently, so will be interesting to see how it compares, but yeah what you said Chase, sounds like my old one for sure!
Sounds like you have put a lot of miles on the first Gen Rocket. Do you have any experience on the Honda Valkyrie? I plan on buying a second bike this spring. My v65 Magna is a blast for rides under 100 miles but I would like to be able to go on longer rides. I have it narrowed down to the Rocket or Valkyrie but I do not know anyone who has owned either. All I get from my riding buddies is "Just buy a Harley". But I've been there done that.
@@tjmartin7477 Hey TJ, yeah I think I put about 55k miles on that old Rocket, in 5 years. I do not have any experience with the Valkyrie, but I would imagine you couldn't go wrong with either... see if your local dealerships have either? I am loving the new Rocket though, can't wait to take it on some long distance rides in the spring!
@evo Hi! new to motorcycling here. with your feet off of the front pegs while cruising, you would have to shift your foot every time you wanted to use the rear wheel brake right? seems dangerous, but I'm new and could be way off. thx!
@@thoyo yeah, but not really...rear brake isn't used that much tbh, I do use it, but no need in the riding position being discussed... and welcome to riding! gear up, go at your own pace, and enjoy!
I did 600 miles on german Autobahn with an average of 110 miles/h. Don't understand your problems. Btw. every Accessoires from the GT model also fits on the R model without any adjustments
“Key fob out of range” just means it’s a reception issue. It SHOULDN’T shut off IF it stops detecting the key. The keyless ignition systems GENERALLY only require the key for starting. I accidentally left my Subaru key on my kitchen counter and left home without it. The car let me know that the key was missing but didn’t lock me into park or disable driving.
Correct, own a 2018 Speed Triple RS with key fob. To not get the out of range error I need to have the key the left pocket of my pants and not near my cellphone. If it doesn't start the key needs to be near the seat for a short while and it will start. The bike will never shut off when the key is out of range. I can even leave the key at home once it is started.
I own a 21 GT and the best fit for my 6-foot body configuration was mid controls on the GT which has the bars that are swept back a little bit. And the little bit larger screen does help
OC - Can't you just add a windscreen and change the seat? It seems like a LOT of bikes have the same two issues and they can be pretty personal so folks pick and choose their windscreens and seats. I'd choose the model based on the rest of it and then worry about the seat and screen later. I haven't looked though, and with these being a fairly new version maybe there isn't much available yet.
The GT seat is different but it has forward controls and wider and slightly higher wider bars. Corbin make a very good replacement seat and higher after market screens are available .
Nice , personally I haven’t been on a bike going 80mph or faster with no windshield or fairing that doesn’t push you back . If you want comfort cruise put a windshield or fairing on it . Thanks for the video
OC: I would go with the Black and mod it with a better seat and a windscreen that is removable. Bikers are gonna mod it anyway, may as well go with what I like aesthetically and build from there.
I love it when people complain about tiniest things when touring on their amazing bikes while here i am doing 500 mile days on my 2014 honda Cbr500r without any issues, loving every minute of it.
Same. It's all very high level complaining - which to be completely honest has happened to me as well. And then I went and travelled through Vietnam on the shittiest of 150cc bikes. Gnarly Offroad and mountain passes included. You serious don't need all that fancy shit to have fun on two wheels. That being said - they help tremendously with comfort
You seem to have made up your mind even before you ride. You can’t ride a 2.5 litre bike and be concerned about fuel economy , this bike has so much to offer. The arm wrenching torque and the coolness as well as the attention this beast attracts are legendary. Every other reviewer loves it!
OC - will let you know in about 2 weeks. I saw the Rocket R today at Papa’ shop in Roswell. Felt good sitting but wondering about the arm strain as I felt a little stretched out … and I have long arms. So, I’ll compare to GT, of which I understand that the handlebars sway back a bit more. Regardless, I think I will prefer the mid-pegs on either setup.
There are many after-market taller windscreens, as well as oem heated grips, and touring seat available. Lovin my '25 Rocket R Storm in town and on highway.
OC I totally agree with u …. The black edition looks better than all the other colorways. Since they r going to be hard to find i figured i get a any color and wrap it British racing green and maybe find a rustic tan saddle.
OC: Love this video. The roads in North Ga are awesome! Great bike! It has me thinking I want the torque. Thank you for the "sacrifice". See you next time!
I rode this bike from Pottstown pa to new berlin ny to unadilla, through vermont and new hampshire into maine to camp, down to Andover mass., and then home with a passenger in 7 days. It's fine. Motorcycles are not your lazy boy or sofa. You have to want it.
OC: I bought a GT last year and have done nearly 12k miles, traveling from Vegas to Phoenix and a ton of city and little trips round Vegas. The R's foot position just didn't feel right to me and I'm glad I went GT. A friend of mine bought an R but hated the wind blast so he put the screen from the GT on his R and it solved that issue
OC I think there is (was) also a GT black edition. Failing that the standard paint on the GT is black but with polished details instead of black. It's the one I'd have. Forward pegs, touring seat, luggage and a sissy bar.
He keeps saying mid controls. If he means forward controls that lock you in, it would make more sense. Mid controls allow you to stand up and stretch your legs and back.
I prefer the R version for the foot peg position, and it looks more aggressive, especially if you are not on the highway a lot. You can always get specific GT parts and swap to suit your preference, but still keep the black model look. Check out Corbin Saddles for custom aftermarket seat options, and I've seen a couple decent looking aftermarket windshield options around too. In my opinion, if you are looking to decide between the R and GT version of this bike, you should base your decision on the foot control position, which is placed in different locations for each model. All of the other differences between the two models can be easily switched over and changed. The very best mod for either model is still the shift assist (quick shift) option!
I love my 21 Rocket 3 r, really great ride. The only thing that I don't like is the $$$450 usd price on that rear tire. only two Companies make em Metzler and Avon. I bought a replacement and a few months later it got punctured. so was $900 bucks down the drain. I know everything costs money but I really hope a couple of other tire companies catch on and start making them at half the price. 😏😏❤
i bin looking at this bike i love it but my commute is 120miles to and from everyday for work and its mostly freeway im taking comfort into consideration and the mile rang on the tank
I always forget that you live in GA, until I see a bunch of places that I know as you're heading to the twisties. I lucked out on that front. I live 20 minutes from Helen.
Dude you could not be more spot on with the seat! It was a serious pain in the ass to break in and took a couple thousand miles!😂 Ice pack though, just buy it ahead of time- wish I would have. Seat breaks in very nicely though and now I can put hours on it with no problem. ALLEGEDLY you can cruise at 100+ mph upright (140ish stock and google the top end for re-maps but I wouldn’t know anything about that) with no problems once your body is conditioned. It’s kind of like getting a total body workout on an elliptical, a really fast elliptical. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my bike. Just doesn’t feel safe with all the electrical issues I’ve had. I’ve got 7k miles on mine and promise you the GT doesn’t give you much more wind protection, I have all the dead bug evidence on jackets to prove it. Great video, nothing you said was all that far off; like anything in life or business it’s all about setting realistic expectations. I have two gripes on the bike but they are my own and not shared by the broader Rocket fan people community, trust me I’ve already heard their responses: 1) low/no storage- buy a bagger and get over it they will say, most people that would want this bike in the first place won’t have time/interest/patience for Panniers. At least not in the US, at least from my experience. It’s a naked bike and I know what I signed up for. Honestly I didn’t think it would be so easy to ride for distance so now I have some tough decisions to make. 2) For all the power and torque,,, the bike is terrible in 1st and 2nd- if you are like me and have a problem. That being said feel free to challenge a majority of 4 wheel vehicles as long as you stay away from the Tesla Plaid or something of the like- she is a beast and you will cry yourself to sleep for months afterwards due to the embarrassment and shame for not knowing better to read labels. Ride often. Ride safe. Thank you for the great video. P.S. Replace battery upon purchase, turn off key regularly or plan on replacing every 4-8 months. P.P.S. My bike has had a litany of electrical issues: turn signals, brake lights, gas gauge, now headlights… Don’t get me wrong, dealer takes care of them all but honestly how does Triumph get away with stuff like that? Forums all the time are talking about issues with rear brakes!? I’d swap mine out right now if I could, for same model- I love this bike and she is worth the extra effort. Just doesn’t feel like that should happen given the money they had me pay. I hate that it’s the middle of riding season and I have to drop it off for the 5th time and I’m in Minnesota so there isn’t much of a riding season already. I mean it’s a 2022,,, God Bless British engineering I guess.
I test drove a rocket a few days ago ready to say take my money before I got on. After about a half hour I came to the conclusion that this was not the bike for me. It was powerful and very Torquay however it felt like a truck, I felt intimidated by it and I’m not a little guy. I’ve since test driven to Ducati Diavel 1260 S. Better styling in my opinion extremely more comfortable than the rocket more maneuverable and super fun to ride this I found out after only a few minutes of riding. I know there’s a love for the rocket and a lot of you guys like it but it simply was not the bike for me
Im not sure these complaints are valid because this is not what you normally ride. The wind screen can buy aftermarket, and the back rest dose nothing for driver and the additional higher price for wind screen heated grips and back rest and forward pedal for the same ride feel for myself i like the R over GT
Thank you for this video, the bike is tits....but I use to ride the MT09, which is a naked bike, and I traded it in for an R6....why? The wind protection was horrible, and I tried a aftermarket screen which did not help. My advice , if you truly enjoy top speed and going fast, while being comfy....this is not the bike for you. But if you like cruising, and hitting some canyons...this bike is for you.
Absolutely correct. Thaat is the true about R3 in all versions, old and new model…. Its a cruiser not speedy, over 80 the wind stops you…. Good tô acelerate On first 2d and 3g gear… after that the wind hold you in chest… enjoy speed buy a hiabusa or something like it
I test drove one of these and yes it was powerful yes there was lots of torque but it’s also felt huge like a truck, was not my thing I’ve since tried a Ducati Diablo 1260 S hands-down so much more maneuverable better looking in my opinion and lighter
@Aka Bull Moto yeah I was on the fence with the rocket 3, still cannot stop smiling on the pure torque delivery of the rocket 3, I also test rode the Ducati Diablo 1260 S, just need another 24hrs to think, I’ll be dropping a deposit on one of them tomorrow.
The GT far better on highway than the R, forward pegs, and the windscreen does move wind up higher. I also have a heated Corbin seat, WAY better! I also have their bags and fairing I put on for trips, zero wind.
If you choose a bike for MPG buy a Honda 125! Also the lack of space to move your “Butt” around the seat might be due to the size of your Butt rather than the size of the seat. This may also explain the wind fatigue at 84mph, we tend to be a bit more aerodynamic this side of the pond?

Triumph made the Rocket 3R Black Roadster edition specifically for the Man that fall in the 6 ft + and can man handle an 800lb beast.
@Shalin316 No way, 117lbs. That’s like placing a sheet of paper on the seat. The torque is amazing on this motorcycle and the best way to find out is test it for yourself.
What a weird comment. "Made for the 6+ man". I'm 5.7 and I drive one almost daily , I've seen women who are 5feet drive this thing no problem.
Not a lot of things are built for 6+ man meats of the world. The rocket fits perfect for my frame at 6’2. I do see guys going by and you can see that they look a bit too big for the bike especially sports bikes.
OC- all the parts between the R and GT models are interchangeable.
The gt would be more lazy to ride..for a bike so heavy you cannot hit corners with the gt footrest position
I bought the GT but still felt the wind protection was anemic over 80 mph. So I bought an after-market screen which wasn't overly big, but large enough to make blasting down the highway fun again.
which one did you buy
@@justhavinagoodtime It's a brand called California Scientific. The black Rocket in the pictures is actually mine, the owner used my bike to create a Rocket 3 windshield for their catalog.
@@conanlive3784 very cool thanks so much
I love my rocket 3r, werks exhaust and corbin fairing.
I finally bought a nice R3R (hate the fake cruiser style of th GT), and it is exactly that : TOO MUCH power and torque, you need to be a lumberjack to throw it in curves for more than 10mn, nut man this is exactly what I was looking for😁
Don't even bother trying it if you're looking for a cruiser.
What wait- it’s wIndy on a naked bike?
My 2012 rocket 3 is by far the most comfortable bike ive ever riden. It handles like a champ on the highway. Its also has a bit more weight than the new body style. Pretty sure the tires were larger on mine vs the new version. Ive enjoyed the rocket more than my sport bikes. You also only feel that push at a stand still and you dont notice after the first day or so.
The new version has a 240 rear and 150 front
Old version. 240 and 160
OC - Chase I think you are just not used to no fairing.
R3 is built for RIDERS not candy asses. It is BadAss.
I've done 300 miles so highway on a dr650. Sounds like you've been pampered and used to creature comforts. I can also do the same on my xsr
@@Dumptheclutchevo thanks!! Will do :)
I've got a 2020 R and I absolutely love it on the highway. Very comfortable for me and easy to crunch big miles in my opinion.
as a rocket r owner , seating poisition and handle bar sucs ! your neck back and butt deads after riding in city traffic and turns
I have a 21 rocket and think that seat is comfy ASS hell. 🤘🤘
Thank you for talking about the seat comfort 🙏 I have tailbone pain but refuse to stop finding a bike I can ride.
Whatever bike you get, if you get a Corbin seat, we’ll worth the money.
Same here. My solution is to always ride my GS in enduro mode everywhere.
He fills wind in the upper chest while riding a motorcycle that has no fairings or windscreen. What a surprise !
There are many after-market taller windscreens, as well as oem heated grips, and touring seat available. Lovin my '25 Rocket R Storm in town and on highway.
OC
I totally agree with u ….
I love the gt too 🚀
OC,I agree with Frank. Definitely the GT. It’ll still be nice in town and won’t beat you up when riding longer distance.
I got to say, the bike looks absolutely phenomenal in this video 🔥
Buy Corbin seat and a touring screen when you go touring the bike you have rode is more akin to a street fighter appeal Horses for courses OC
OC I think there is (was) also a GT black edition. Failing that the standard paint on the GT is black but with polished details instead of black. It's the one I'd have. Forward pegs, touring seat, luggage and a sissy bar.
Chase...just wondering....hmmmm....I am wondering if the new Rocket 3R Storm has the ability to move the pegs up higher to prevent peg scraping ?
He keeps saying mid controls. If he means forward controls that lock you in, it would make more sense. Mid controls allow you to stand up and stretch your legs and back.
Just saw about 25% of the video and theres my LIKE there .. exactly what i was looking for. Lovely video
Great cinematography guys. Really enjoyed.
I'd be getting Wind Protection and for rain too then wait for more options if needed for my rides..
I assume you took wrong version for highway ride. You should take GT version. It is designed for smoother longer ride.
OC - I've got a 22 GT for a mix of highway and city riding and it's perfect 🤘
I love my 21 Rocket 3 r, really great ride. The only thing that I don't like is the $$$450 usd price on that rear tire. only two Companies make em Metzler and Avon. I bought a replacement and a few months later it got punctured. so was $900 bucks down the drain. I know everything costs money but I really hope a couple of other tire companies catch on and start making them at half the price. 😏😏❤
i bin looking at this bike i love it but my commute is 120miles to and from everyday for work and its mostly freeway im taking comfort into consideration and the mile rang on the tank
I love this bike minus the goofy headlights and mirror placement..probably gonna be my next bike though.
I am planning on buying it so ur video helps dude thanks

@@abdullahalfaysalsoumick2833 that’s a terrible comparison. The closest thing to the Rocket 3 would be the V-Max.

I have two gripes on the bike but they are my own and not shared by the broader Rocket fan people community, trust me I’ve already heard their responses:
1) low/no storage- buy a bagger and get over it they will say, most people that would want this bike in the first place won’t have time/interest/patience for Panniers.
I mean it’s a 2022,,, God Bless British engineering I guess.
the point that it have most torque than any production bike and acceleration 0-60 in 2.6sec is also worth smth =)
Don’t forget Pop’s when your checking out what Triumph of Roswell bike you want. Cafe in a bike shop. 😮
I’m more worried about someone riding in the middle of the lane in oil vs I’m the tire track giving a review.
OC: I'd get the 3R and a small black windshield. The look is really spectacular, and the GT shield looks to have the same mounts
if you had your choice between this bike and the hayabusa, which one would you choose Chase?
Rocket all day
@@chaseontwowheels thanks my man 👌
Thank you for this video, the bike is tits....but I use to ride the MT09, which is a naked bike, and I traded it in for an R6....why? The wind protection was horrible, and I tried a aftermarket screen which did not help.
My advice , if you truly enjoy top speed and going fast, while being comfy....this is not the bike for you.
But if you like cruising, and hitting some canyons...this bike is for you.
Absolutely correct. Thaat is the true about R3 in all versions, old and new model…. Its a cruiser not speedy, over 80 the wind stops you…. Good tô acelerate On first 2d and 3g gear… after that the wind hold you in chest… enjoy speed buy a hiabusa or something like it
I'm still on the fence about getting one of these....
I test drove one of these and yes it was powerful yes there was lots of torque but it’s also felt huge like a truck, was not my thing I’ve since tried a Ducati Diablo 1260 S hands-down so much more maneuverable better looking in my opinion and lighter

You felt like your core was more engaged because of the position or because you're riding at 80 without a windscreen?

OC...at my age looks because less of a factor over functionality. I'd go with the GT if it did the job better.
The GT far better on highway than the R, forward pegs, and the windscreen does move wind up higher. I also have a heated Corbin seat, WAY better! I also have their bags and fairing I put on for trips, zero wind.
Is the heated Corbin seat easy to install? I’m asking about the wiring aspect of it. Have you had any issues with the heater not working, etc?
Thanks!
@@dlmp70 none, super easy comes with 2 wire fused harness right to battery. And works great

yes
OC! I’m in the crew!!!
Put a scree. N on
If its anything like 1600 t bird, it will be great.
That side shot is lit
OC: Definitely would get that gt model with the windscreen
