Nice one! All you MCN reviewers are great. I don't have a lot of desire for this beast, but I appreciate that it's around. I demoed it last year - lots of fun.
I have had the TFC variant for 4 years now, love it! Quick shifter is sublime, well worth the investment. Average 46mpg over 20,000 miles. I don't hang about but not heavy on the brakes, so fairly efficient. Sport mode is insane! These new Storm models look great. Masterpiece in motorcycling engineering.
Seriously not lying about that torque. During a demo ride, I was doing maybe 40mph (70kph?) in 6th, going uphill, and the bike just pulls. Its insane how much torque is on hand for this bike. It does look way bigger in pictures than in person, but its still a big bike. Handles surprisingly well for its size
@@norrinradd5501 I'd say a bit more sluggish. Haven't rode the new glide but compared to the challenger it's just barely slower. But the bike is not about that. It's about stupid torque and short insane pulls. She is heavy though.
What an amazing review mate. Totally agree with you, that it looks really intimidating but as soon as u start riding it becomes so easy. I was lucky enough to buy the 1st storm in India and it was just an amazing experience. Would love to see a comparison video of with and without a quick shifter. Thanks have a great day.
Triumph had demo of their new lineup yesterday in my area. They had advertised ahead for weeks that the Rocket3 would be one of the bikes to try. I go there, just to be told that they had sold it off and did not have any other to demo. They even tried to sell me a Speed Triple I wasn`t even allowed to demo.
I have a 2023 Rocket-R model, and the crowd that this Bike Attracts during Bike Nights it makes Every Harley-Davidson in the crowd disappear. I love to park it, and have people look at it. And I did have to buy the Quick-Shifter, and the heated grips on my R model
@@norrinradd5501 though we were on about the looks? And yes the rocket handles better than the Harley and R18 there totally different bikes, the Rocket is more of a muscle bike than a cruiser.
I love the bike for its size that gives it a real presence no car driver can ignore . Shaft drive brilliant, fwd controls a terrible idea. I like the R with the high screen and I’ve never had a bike with a quick shifter so I wouldn’t miss it.
The forward controls are for true Cruiser brothers. When we're out for a ride we want it to be comfortable. Like you're stretched out in your La-Z-Boy only with the road in front of you instead of the tele. 😂
Ludicrous. But probably my fave cruiser - and the ridiculous engine size makes it all the better. And that GT should imo be stretched into a better genuine tourer - separate it more from the R with a bigger tank, real luggage (and pillion) options and it would surely be a much better long distance bikes than any of those R18 tour variants.
Obviously not much has changed since my Moto Guzzi Griso 1100 from 2006: Lots of displacement in a low number of cylinders and shaft-drive do not combine to be a quick shifting ride. With experience you can still shift without clutch but I would not recommend this as the standard-gearchange ...
I have a 2020 Rocket 3 and the bike is out of service every summer when the conditions are good to ride it. I currently have about 12 thousand miles on the bike and should have much more, but it is always out of service. Rear Brakes stops working about every 1500 miles. Engine blew at 4500 miles Now it just shuts off and gives me a TCS error and the only available slot for it to get looked at is Aug 20!!! I really feel like Triumph Motorcycleles owes me something for the years of issues I have been having and all of the riding time that has been stripped from me for buying this product, which I am still paying for and not able to enjoy!!
Sounds like Triumph. Every once in a while, there's a bad one that comes off the line, regardless of the model. Sorry to hear, and YES you should get compensated!!!
It would b cool if the triple was made to look like a traditional v twin with another cylinder on the middle. It would also be cool if there was a smaller cruiser with a triple engine.

This bike looks huge online but I was surprised how compact it is live in-person.

IMO, it would look a lot better with a single 8-inch headlight and a pair of spots.
That would be heresy! Triumph created an icon with the Speed's bug eyes, and it works sooo well on the Rocket. It looks like nothing else.
Not a cruiser type, but keen to give this a go.

A) £23,000 used to be to buy a house and B) Quickshifter when you have that much torque? Nah.
How about you test that quickshifter first? And regarding the price, ppl pay more for a dumbass painting or a bottle of wine.
Yeah cruisers don't want no stinking quick shifter... We know how to blip!! 😂
