I like that this canon reflects the tragedy of Anakin's life. I think his turn to the dark side should have been portrayed as more tragic in the films.
there is an idea that sith project an uneasy air that affects recolectiin. imagine seeing Palpatine and knowing him as sidios. you would be so distraught that when Palpatine starts acting as Palpatine you would be gratful for being mistaken. sith hide in fear and darkness. why do we fear the dark? for we know what lies within and wish we weren't like that too.
Man...I started on the GOT/ASOIAF videos because of the in depth analysis, but this is great, too! I feel like this would have been a better movie than attack of the clones...
I like how Disney canned the EU to streamline the Star Wars canon, but at this rate, the new Disney canon will eventually become just as convoluted as the old EU.
Impaitence, anger, pride and lack of faith is what turned Anakin to Darth Vader. What huge waste of talent, then again that is the point, you can't rely on talent alone. I like how honorable and selfless Obi Wan is, he was even ready to leave the Jedi order just to stay with Anakin. It must have been horrbile for him when his student became a sith.

Was this canon created by Disney Lucasfilm? Because I find this new backstory for Anakin to be one-dimensional and badly written. Whoever created this crap seems determined to erase the Jedi and Obi-Wan's role in Anakin's downfall. Well . . . except for the Jedi allowing their 12 year-old padawan to engage in excursions with Palpatine. What the hell? And this description of Anakin being too attached to his lightsaber? What the hell is that? The same padawan who managed to lose two lightsabers in one movie and whose Jedi teacher went into a tailspin over him losing one? And are we really supposed to believe he was the only Jedi with emotional issues? They all had those issues. Even Yoda. C'mon! What is this crap?

This is so awesome, it makes the prequals so much richer and easier to connect with and gives Anakin more of a character, great stuff :)
Fuck that shit! I never had a problem with the Prequels. I didn't require a one-dimensional portrayal of Anakin in order for it to be "richer".
