      It wasn’t even his fault either, he was probably one of the smartest droid commanders out of the bunch, it’s just that his forces were either defective due to the fact that b1 programming can only go so far, or that b1 programming had a particularly difficult time processing that specific scenario.
      I kinda wish we could see more of the droids’ perspectives and see the occasional defects that end up being better than they were built for, or more scenarios in which they gain freedom from their programming.

      That's mostly because for the regular Naboo, they didn't really have an army. Just glorified police.
      th-cam.com/video/IGITpW4kuzI/w-d-xo.html
      I have to give it to the gungans though. They did have an army and were skilled warriors but their numbers were more limited and they were more primitive so the lines and blocks the trade federation used actually works really well. Along with a central control ship being needed.

      @@marrqi7wini54 in theed palace and in the various clips from the battle of geonosis and clone wars (from episode 3), show the droids slipt up and in spread out in looser formations, making use of available cover as well as fire and maneuver techniques. the droids did not just march into every battle in squares according to the movies...
      and a 'glorified police force' is all you need for fighting inside a building, no space for heavy equipment. the Naboo security forces had extensive marksmanship training (so they could counter assassins). the B1s were able to defeat the Naboo security forces in small arms urban combat fairly easily, even forceing main characters to retreat.

    The size in scale of the CIS makes more sense to me in terms of numbers and organization than the army of the grand republic. The army of the grand republic just doesn't seem to have enough troops involved for something on a galactic scale and has in my opinion a more complex rank structure that doesn't really make sense. Droid army is simple all droids obey a organic commander or a tactical droid that's it really simple. Also unit sizes based off of transportation also is fairly simple to understand.

      Even with the Jedi the CIS would crush the republic if it wasn't for palp engineering the whole war so that the CIS would lose. I mean Grievous managed to attack coruscant while Palp was trying to stop him, only losing when a surprise army appeared from the moon. The master of the sith was caught off guard and forced to move his plans forward. Quite an achievement. Also the CIS attack on kamino would have succeeded if Obi didn't by chance intercept a message saying they were going to attack and then saw there was too much rubble. No kamino, no troops.

    I've heard that in Starwars Legends that the CIS has over Qui Trillions of different types and kinds of droids in the many sections and the sectors of the main Galaxy . Spread all over the place though mostly in the Outer Rim. And also having a unbeatable Droid army in the deep deep Core.
    The CIS has the ability to easily overwhelm and is able to keep pumping out droids out non stop In the Starwars Legends Universe. They also basically had Super weapons with them also like the. ( Starwara Legends Super weapons the Proto Death Star, Death Star I , The Dark Reaper, The Meloverence The Devestation, and having some others in their hold. )

    I would like to think that the droid military ranking system would be based on experienced droids being uploaded into a newer version of programming, or if taken out in battle, uploaded to some computer and downloaded into a new body, learning all the way, possibly into different types of droids. With time and serving 'X' amount of time certain droids, for example a downed Battle Droid being downloaded into a Destroyer droid, it is finally uploaded into an improved body that can contain more memory, eventually being promoted to a high logistics droid for the army as a type of 'General' then being 'promoted' to the Navy to eventually be promoted to an 'Admiral' droid then a droid that can be flaunt for both.
    Like Rex said, "In my view, experience outranks everything."

    what sort of support units did the GAR and CIS have access to? There are artillery in Republic formations but where do they fit in? Where do the tri-droids and other stuff show up in CIS formations? I'm assuming they're attached ad hoc by writers when they feel like adding some visual diversity to the droid army. Same thing with equivalent Republic stuff. I'd be curious to see how it could (or has) been ex post facto justified or (through something that would surprise me) preexisting explanation. I do like that droid formations have a very good reason for being the way they are: transport capacity and that they have integrated armored support that takes advantage of one of their best assets: the AAT. This has been my inner military science fiction writer.

    You know, considering world war 2 and how few armies are used there the droid armies are kind of small. Im trying to math out the numbers of droids based on the number of armies and it just seems insufficient.

    The only thing that’s complicated in the galaxy is the Senate.

    • @nkliving9895
      @nkliving9895 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. It’s a federalised system meaning each senator represents a planet, and that senator speaks to others senate to make negations and trade deals on behalf of their people. It’s sort of like the United States
