I have a 10400, it struggles to constantly hit 60 fps in Cyberpunk, jedi survivor, watchdogs legion, plague tale requiem, Hogwarts legacy, Spiderman and Gotham knights. I'm sure it won't hit 60 in Starfield as well. If you're building a new pc, atleast get a 12400f.

I'm running the RX 6750 XT, Ryzen 9 5900X with 64GB of DDR4 3600MHz RAM I think I should be set for playing games for a while I know I went overboard on my build lol.
PS another great video as always.
What motherboard do you use? Seems like some of MSI H610?
I have similar built but instead of RTX I am using RX 6700 XT. Just recently also purchased ultra wide monitor (3440x1440) and its a bliss running games on high/maxed out FSR quality and hitting 60-80FPS depending on the game.
I have the same cpu , but gpu is the 3060 12GB , the shopkeeper said that it'll age better than the Ti😅
I need to look at the 12GB 3060 again actually seems like a good choice at the moment
@@RandomGaminginHDplease test 1440p too, it is becoming more mainstream as qhd monitors are so cheap nowadays.
*LakyFX* channel, 3060 12GB got impressive results Vs the RX 4060, RTX 4060 Ti, 3060 TI in games up to 4K.
I want to upgrade my rx 6600, should i get rx 6700 xt, rtx 2070 super, or rtx 3060 (all of them are same pricing used) with in mind that beside gaming, I want to use game engine to develop games in future? Or should i wait for more time for better opportunity?
My GTX 1080 just bit the dust, and my friend was nice enough to give me a 3060Ti. It seems to run very smooth, with better 1% and 0.1% lows, as well as getting higher average frame rates. It is paired with an MSI X79 MB, and a Xeon E5-1660-V2 at 4.6GHz all core, and 32GB (4x8GB in quad channel) at 1866MT/s.
Good video as always, Sir! Would be nice to see your Jack Russell more often though! o7
Sounds like you owe your friend.
@@Gatorade69 I am his Mechanic. I take care of my friends, and they take care of me! Have a great day! o7
@@CMDR_CLASSIFIED That's always good to have. Only a few of the people I called friends would return a favor like that.
@@Gatorade69 Pretty sure I can count my friends on these 4 fingers! Who could ask for more?!!! o7
What you think right now, choose cheap 3060 ti or 4060?
the one you can get for cheaper
This time i'll skip the 4000 series and go for 5000 series. don't see huge improvements over the 4000 series, nvidia screw up this time with it
I've got the same combo but in Witcher 3 can't get as much fps as in a video when in Oxenfurt, my GPU utility is at 50%, barely keeping 60 fps. Other areas away from cities 100 fps above no problem. 1080p, same settings. Can it be because of single ram stick? I have only one 32 GB DDR4 installed so no dual channel
How much did you pay for the pc? And if you build it yourself how much did you paid for the components. I got it prebuilt and i wanted to know if it was a good deal
Next: i9 13th Gen + RTX 4090ti, is it still worth it?
I just update from GTX 960 2GB to RTX 3060Ti i am having a blast playing games 🔥 wanted to buy RX 6700XT but RTX 3060Ti was cheaper by alot. My PC combo is : Core i3- 12100F + RTX 3060Ti.
If I'm using a 1080p monitor with 75hz (basically i'm fine sticking to 60fps gaming and to spend less money), which gpu would you recommend? same gpu?
Budget
how is the temps on that cooler? is it effective? for ryzen 5600x
I have this cpu and gpu and I’m thinking of upgrading in the future but don’t know what to upgrade to and if it will work with my motherboard
Currently running an I5-12400F and an RX7600, wonder how that compares
Is it worth getting same build for next 5-7 years (1080p only)?
i have almost identical specs to the system tested here, and i never get anything above 80 fps on high-ultra settings, whats the difference here?
Is Having this build with an h610 mobo that bad of an idea for low budget builds, and is it true that h610 mobos only support one ram channel???
I just bought a rx 6700xt and it is coming in today cant wait to compare my benchmarks from my retired 1070
A buddy of mine runs an i5-12400F + a 2080 Super he got a deal on. The i5-12400F was a pretty good budget option awhile back.
What cooler are you using for your cpu?
I know you don't like testing upscaling much but this card *kicks ass* at outputting 4K, DLSS-balanced. Can even pull off RT in cyberpunk, and all less-heavy titles. Struggles with Quake 2 a bit though
spot shadows in apex only cause a massive framedrop at very high, so why put it on low at such a high end system?
I have been struggling with confusion. I wanna go with RTX 4060 8gb but then saw RTX 3060ti 8gb has more CUDA cores which is demanded by gaming n content creation rendering. Is dlss 3.5 just an overprice for 4060 wit little cuda cores. Do you think I wudnt regret if I go with 3060 ti gb ? Pls help
I've went from a 1600 to a 3600 to a recently purchased 5800x3d. 1660 super at the start of COVID to a 3060ti last year. Finally at the point where I can say I'm satisfied. Next upgrade will probably be when the 5000 series comes out. Gonna have to start the process over again CPU wise for some am5 action. 😭
Should I buy a Rtx 3060 instead of a Rtx 4060 3060 ti or Rx 6700 because of the extra vram
I got the same CPU & GPU combination. Love it! ❤
I am considering to go for 12400F as it has some b760 mATX options with pcie x16 5.0, which AM5 platform doesn’t have yet.
I am thinking to upgrade to something like 65w 14700 later down the line.
Is it worth considering, or are newer i3 better option? raptor lake refresh should offer 6core i3…
I am running i5 3570 at the moment, so its a bit luxurious thinking to me:)
Upgraded my i5 4th gen to i5 12400.. worth for upgrade
@@JeyLast Yeah, I can imagine:) My main concern is future upgrade path though, I could last much longer with 12400F than 5 years or so.
In this regard AM5 is probably going to last longer, so I could wait longer with another CPU upgrade, without having to buy new mobo and RAM.
Id love if you made another video on the 6700 10gb version. In my country its cheaper than the intel and nvidia competition
if i were you, i would go for the 6700 xt for a bit more money
How much RAM do you recommend I get in the pc with this combo?
What motherboards should I buy if i'm on a budget ?
how do you get the REAL usage percent for the CPU to show up in riva? I have had this CPU and GPU combo since the cpu launched and my usage is always wrong showing like 2% to 10% in game.
Update Afterburner and RTSS
I wish they had made a 3060ti 12gb variant. NVidia went back and made an 8gb variant of the base 3060, I believe. I have an OEM 3060 12gb that was in a prebuilt I had bought. I upgraded to a 3080 12gb, ane the performance leap was insane to me. Previously I had only played games on console, then had two "gaming" laptops, and then finally made the switch to a desktop. Best decision I ever made!
why not run the MW2 benchmark to have a consistent test ?
i3 12100F since 2022 february and a second hand 3060 Ti since 2022 september here 'Asus TuF 3060 Ti V2' and I just recently upgraded to 32 Gb DDR 4 3200 from 16 gigs of the same kit I had since 2018.
Playing on a 2560x1080 75Hz Ultrawide monitor and for that this setup is still fairly enough.
I don't play competitive games at all and I rather crank up the settings in single player games as long as it feels smooth enough for me.
I might upgrade to a 14100/14400 in 2024 but other than that I'm perfectly fine with this setup for my needs at the time.🙂
What cpu coller are you using?
What should i buy i5 12400f or i5 13400f my main concern is 1440p not 4k thanks
Pair with rx 6700xt
what motherboard do you use?
Hi, I'm planning on building my first budget PC with i3-13100F and RX 6600. Would you suggest it?
Use the 14th gen i3 instead when it launches
If the 12100f is ~10% or more cheaper then get it instead
I'm running the i5 12600 and RTX 3060 Ti, Runs like a dream!
Hi bro, why my fps in cyberpunk 2077 can't achieve fps like yours. My spec i5 11400, zotac rtx 3060 ti twin edge oc, 16 gb ram. U were able to get 100+ fps while mine able to get only 40-80 fps with same setting as you.
That AFOX card is the card that keeps on giving.....quite the bargain that GPU
I really like the design of it. Really quiet too
Just got myself a Ryzen 5 3600 and 3060 Ti after using an i7 4770 and 1660 Super for ages
I built my system as an apu system in the beginning of 2022 with a 5700g and I just dropped a 6700xt into it in Feb 2023 and it’ll last me a good 3+ years before I think about upgrading
what power supply are you using ?
Currently running a Ryen 7 3800X and an RX 6600 8GB, 32GB RAM, 2TB Crucial P3 NVME SSD, More than happy with my setup. Building a second machine for my bedroom with my old R5 2600, just debating what card to stick with my R5 2600 or whether to get an upgrade for my 3800X and put the RX 6600 with my R5 2600
i have the same combo but with 5600x , but i cant come anywhere near your results frameratewise , what could cause that
Hi - i pretty much dont know anything. Would this setup run better than xbox x series and why? And will it support Starfield at high setting? I aint got either xbox or gaming pc and deciding between 2
First of all it depends on your monitor. But the pc will run better. But don't buy a 4k monitor and a gpu like the 3060ti expecting to run every game smooth at high settings. For an 3060ti i wouldn't buy snything higher than a 2k 144hz monitor
@@kecksbelit3300 thanks for the reply. I've decided if I'm going to make a switch I'm going to go a bit more all in with it. I would go with a 6950xt on a Ryzen 7700x. From what I've seen this should allow me to game at a 4k level... I do have a question though - I'm not looking to get a monitor. Instead I would play on a 55inch 4k 120hz tv. I prefer gaming at a distance anyway. You think that would be okay?
@@stevenbowen23 It would be fine a lot people use oled tvs instead of oled monitors cause the oled monitors are a bit price for ahving a matt finish not that good of a pixel density and pretty low brightness. But If you go for a pc you should keep in mind you won't play from your bed or at least only rly chill games. So when you don't buy an oled i would say you should look into monitors too cause you might end up playing at close distance
@@stevenbowen23 And keep in mind the 6950xt is great but rly Power hungry so it will cost some money over time.
@@kecksbelit3300 what do you mean by this? As in it's gonna burn more electricity? If so what would you say I could get that can run to that capability but at less power consumption?
I recently sold my ASUS Tuf 3060Ti OC for 100$. I already had a 3080, and the guy needed it more than I did.
Very nice of you :)
Just bought a used pre built with this set up for 600 bucks off Amazon, here’s to hoping it’s worth it!
Nice affordable setup that works well with decent fps.
what if one were to replace the 12400F with a 10600K? while keeping all the other components, of course
Would still get a great experience for sure
