For starters, they could automatically save files before restarting for an update. Or, they could just not FORCE YOUR OWN PC TO FKING RESTART
windows never force restarts to me, it always asks me if I want to restart or not.
Although they made it as difficult as they could with Windows 10 you can disable windows updates or prevent it from restart, but I agree that a regression to Windows 8/7 in that regar would be welcome if happened
Same guy will probably complain like a baby and blame Microsoft when he gets ransomwared, because he doesn’t update.
@@henson2k precisely for the corporate environment, as only Windows 10 Enterprise obeys the directive of not installing or searching for updates when prompted by the Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) while Pro although it has that option that specific toggle will be ignored and the only way to archive the same effect is by going in the registry and applying the changes it should apply like when you are Enterprise
@G Bogart Windows little lets you do that. It doesn't update if you choose "Restart" or "Shut down". It only updates if you choose "Update and shut down" or "Update and restart".

I feel extremely sorry when a tech giant company’s CEO responds a major change as “start button in centre”
It puts you at center of the screen. Yes, he shouldn't have said that as a major change. He could have said settings and personalization moved onto a new app, and then we have the start button
The ultimate proof of dumbing of the society. Moving the start icon to the center and adding all the 'corporate fluff' to it makes it somehow 'revolutionary'?
