  • In this video I share with you my scars and my experience over a 5 week period post double mastectomy. Let's show breast cancer that it doesn't define who we are, in fact, we show breast cancer what it is, just another human experience that we will get through and be better for it! I hope you find this helpful and thank you so much watching.

As a man, I think you are absolutely beautiful and what happened to you would in no way affect the beauty you shine with. It is very brave and responsible of you to share this with the world because you will help many women who are in the same situation.

I'm so sorry to hear about your wife, I know it is such a hard thing. We do the best we can with the knowledge we have and there is no way to know if any other type of decision would have made a difference. I had to fight for this. It was 2020, and I fought. It's still something women need to stand ground on, it is just a money racket for the healthcare system. That's all it really comes to, money. But hey, we all want summer homes in Caribbean, but there's a right way to get them ❤

I didn’t realize how much it was affecting my body, energy, mood, EVERYTHING until it was gone. I felt so much more alive, it’s crazy right? But it’s true! My skin even cleared up! You are going to be pleasantly surprised, trust me. All you need to do is show up and have a nap, then you go home, and that’s about it. I did this on my own, and I felt renewed. Thanks for sharing your journey! I had a double mastectomy 4 weeks ago. I am 33 and diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. Much like your story mine didn't hurt, it had smooth edges, was movable, and the doc told me he was 95% certain that it was a fibroadenoma. I requested a biopsy and found out that it was indeed not a fibroadenoma. Advocating for yourself is so important when it comes to our health. Like you said, in one of your other videos, an MRI, ultrasound, and mammogram can't definitively tell the doc whether it's cancer or not, only a biopsy can. I'm praying that your healing and additional treatment if needed are going smoothly.

Thank goodness, you had the wisdom of your own body and the strength to advocate for yourself. Hope your journey becomes a memory, and a new beautiful journey has already begun.

I just came across your video and I'm so happy and grateful I did! Thank you so much for being so brave and courageous to show off your battle wounds to the world! I went through BC in 2010 when I was 37. Did 16 rounds of chemo and then had double mastectomies and reconstruction immediately following. Found out four yrs ago that my implants were recalled for causing several types of cancer. Absolutely crazy that something which I had put into my body only because I had gone through cancer, now was causing cancer! Well, long story short, I finally had them removed two weeks ago and am now flat. I was so shocked to see the incisions afterwards and seeing yours made me feel so much better. I kept asking if this was normal results after the surgery and all the PA would say is it's because I went flat, and then she told me it will look even worse at the six week mark🤦😱 Thank you so much for the encouragement with all you said in this video. I truly hope you are doing well and have been restored to health again! God's blessings and protection over you always🙏❤️

And I had lymphatic cancer in my right breast, discovered on 5 May, and I was in the operating room on 28 May. It had grown and had spread during that period of time. I’m grateful I had no hesitation. And I do not wear my prosthesis most of the time. I am more than just a breast.

You look amazing! I only lost part of one boob to cancer, thru lumpectomy. It’s devastating to everyone but it’s different for everyone too. I really didn’t feel like it was a huge deal. Knowing I had cancer was the hardest part. Knowing it was gone after my surgery was easy, relatively speaking. I was celebrating that it was out of my body and didn’t care what I looked like. It was harder on my family than it was on me because they were scared of losing me but I knew I was ok. I just knew. I never did reconstruction. I have two different size boobs and I don’t care and my husband loves me just as I am, like he always did. It’s been 27 years and I’m still healthy and active and happy. Our boobs don’t define us, no matter what Hollywood says. My sister lost one breast to cancer about 6 years ago so I was able to help her thru her journey and I’m grateful for that. She’s doing fine too! We are in our 70’s now and pretty much can laugh our way thru anything. Once you beat cancer, life takes on new meaning and the rest of it is a gift to be enjoyed.

I love you! You are an amazing and intelligent young lady. I'm a 70 year old woman who's gone through the cancer journey myself. Head and neck cancer. My ENT proclaimed that I am cancer free following the PET scan. This was after chemo-radiation and the removal of eleven lymph nodes in my neck area. Of course, you have to be free of cancer for five years before you are considered cancer free. I look forward to that. I approached this little set back in my life very differently than most people do. I looked at it as just an illness that I had to fight and recover from. I think this made the fight much easier. I didn't research cancer, head and neck cancer, or anything related to it and I'm glad. I approached it as my own journey and mine would be different just like everyone else. I'm glad I did. My sister was my Health Partner and I am so grateful for her. She held me up. Kept me going. I'm a Christian and this gave me so much strength. I still have a ways to go. But I know I will make it. As will you. I am so proud of you for being such a brave person. Keep looking forward. Great things are ahead for you.

You look absolutely beautiful. You are ALIVE and full of life. I too, went flat. I had to go through two revisions to get it just right, without the bumps and dog ears and rippling.
