Thank You for sharing your video. I am having a double mastectomy on April 2. I had a small cancer 22 years ago and went for my mammogram in January and there was a spot about the size of a pea. Of course is cancer. I am going to battle through this and will be cancer free for the rest of my life. I feel very positive and I will not have reconstruction. I am just going to be me and a lot better physically and mentally. I had genetic testing and was negative for the BRAC2. Actually I had 36 different things checked and everything was negative. My life is going to be Fantastic! God bless you my friend.
I'm almost 3 weeks post surgery after my double mastectomy. I elected to have both removed. Even though I had cancer in my right breast only. 16 years ago I had calcification cells removed from my right breast that hadn't become cancer yet at that time. I'm 63 now and I have been having yearly mammograms since my mom had her mastectomy in 1995. This time they found cancer in that breast. I went through the surgery on March 14, 2023. I didn't know if the cancer had gone to my lymph nodes till I woke up from the surgery. And didn't find that out that I didn't have any in my lymph nodes till I talked to the surgeon the next morning. They inserted a radioactive isotope in my right breast about 2 hours before my surgery. Then they shoot blue dye in me after I'm out having the surgery. The pain meds I was given sucked. The drain tubes hurt the whole time they were in. They were in 8 days. And the incisions were alot longer than I thought they were going to be. They go from the side of my back where my arm ends by my back around to the middle of my chest. With an inch that isn't cut between where the breasts were to the other side where my back starts. I have to say that where the breasts were doesn't really hurt. Its mostly numb. The area under my arms, the incision is about 4 inches below my armpits. That is where it is really sore and tender. Now I'm dealing with nerve pain not incision pain. And I found that tiger balm has really helped give me relief from the nerve pain. I wasn't really told that the pain would be this much. And they told me they had good drugs that they would give me. That was a lie, I think they were sugar pills. I am glad my breasts are gone. Now I don't have to worry anymore about mammograms or breast cancer. Not having reconstruction. Not ever wearing a bra again. It will be nice to not have back and neck pain from large breasts. No more sweating and prickly heat rash under them during the summer anymore either. Not mourning the loss of them at all. Looking forward to being flat chested for the rest of my life. I'm just so glad that I was told I'm cancer free! And didn't have to do radiation or chemo. Thank God for that.
@elinabalt7716 it was the so called pain med after surgery. They did nothing. The pills they give you do nothing for the nerve pain you have after they take the breasts off. But I finally found a homeopathic nerve pain relief pill at my local natural grocers. It really helped. I have been taking them now for my sciatica nerve pain that I have been experiencing. And it stops that nerve pain too. Also I used tiger balm on both sides of my incision after my surgery and that helped my pain and numbness. Hope these help you.
Wow, thanks for sharing... How are you feeling now as you've had quite a journey. I'm 51 and getting a double bilateral mastectomy with no reconstruction on tomorrow and I have a low tolerance for pain so the anticipation of been in pain has me over nervous right now. I'm hoping the pain meds kick in because I'm totally NOT looking forward to the pain. Also, I'm elated that you are happy about your decision as I pray I mirror that as well. I'm also looking forward to being Cancer Free as I'm one step closer to my healing. 🙏🏽
I was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer , then told I had the Bracca1 gene too. I had a double mastectomy last week , currently recovering with my drains in …aka Bill and Ben 😂 … I’m fine and getting stronger every day
I'm glad you posted this. I'm 56 years old and was just diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and this information is helpful for what I'm fixing to go through. Thank you very much
I am grateful 😇 that I found this helpful tips and also grateful that I found I have breast cancer at stage 1 hopefully it will be a bit easier for me to recover from everything I am going through. Best of luck to everyone who is in this journey 🙏🙏🙏
I have the BRCA2 mutation and will be having my preventative surgery on Feb 7. Thanks for posting this! I’m getting nervous and starting to question my decision, but I know that I will be thankful once it’s over and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have this as a preventative measure. Hugs to everyone else going through this too ❤
You are really strong..i had my mascetomy a week ago and i was overwhelmed when my biopsy came back.and i was diagnosed with breast cancer grade 2.But just like you, I was grateful that I have family and friends who constantly praying and giving words of encouragement .I guess at this moment, we really need all the support that we can get. Watching your video just brings back all the emotions that I was going through as well. I am staying hopeful and optimistic, and actually thankful to God who has been blessing and guiding me through this predicament.I wish you all the best and may you have speedy recovery too.

I have just had a double mastectomy 5 weeks now into recovery. I had stage three 2020, and sadly 2023 I have had a double mastectomy , I’m 76 years of age, it’s a journey no one wants but in many cases is a must. I was very anxious but did a lot of research about the operation and had a long talk with my surgeon who was great. My sparring is probably a little bigger than I expected , and I’m still sore, but each day goes by, is another day of recovery. I wish all my fellow ladies and men all the best, it’s a long road but hopefully no more worry x
My surgery is this summer at age 19! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and bravery and helping me with my confidence going into it, seeing others go through what you are helps so much!!
I’ll be having a double mastectomy in 3 days. I completely relate to that weird feeling. I’ve been okay about it until today because it’s this week! The girls will be gone! But so will the cancer! Thank you for this video! 💚
Its weird. No matter your positive outlook, and preparation, the last few hours before surgery are the toughest. Once I'm knocked out and I've slept for 12 to 14 hours, I will deal with it, and it probably won't be as bad as I think.
@@wandah9468 yes. I didn’t even cry until literally right before. But not really cry, I just let a couple of tears go. At the hospital. Afterwards, it’s just an adjustment. Two blood clots in my lung prevented me from finishing reconstructive surgery because of blood thinners. But hopefully by the summer. The nerve damage and phantom pain was the worst. In my personal opinion, the mastectomy was much easier than the chemotherapy! I’m done with that now too! Cancer free! It was all worth it! Good luck to you! 🫶🏽💐
I am 32 as well, just diagnosed last week. How are you? What kind of cancer do you have? Mine is grade 1 IDC.... don't know everything yet (lymph node involvement/genes etc) but since I'm so young I might just remove both...
Hi! I am 32 too. I have a rare form, but it’s triple negative and very aggressive. I am thinking of doing a double mastectomy too. I hope everything worked out for both of you. How are you both feeling? Any advice?
im 25 years old and im watching this to give me the courage to go through this myself! >,< getting my double mastectomy surgery in 3 weeks! hope I can be as cool and strong as you! sending lots of love :)
You are an amazing and courageous person, sharing your story is a brave thing to do, coping with drains at home sounds like a nightmare, I can’t believe the hospital sent you home the same day you had major surgery. Mark is a godsend by being there for you all the way. Good to know you went to the loo too.
aw thank you Judith! I'm so grateful for Mark, i literally don't know how i would be coping without him. Those first few days i couldn't move much and he'd lift me up and everything. Going to the loo was such a relief!! x
Just watching the beginning of this video, I wanted to say what an AMAZINGLY STRONG women you are to share the true journey with everyone on TH-cam 💖 I'm sure I'll have more to say after seeing this whole video. Sending love and healing energy your way 🥰💖
I am so sorry you were in such pain. I had my mastectomy last Monday in Italy. I had no real pain, just a bit in the drain site. Your video will help so many people. Thank you for sharing your journey. For me, it was not so traumatic. I am 68 and have no use for my breasts, so getting rid of them seemed fine with me. I feel fantastic, and have to take naps to stop myself from doing activities I know I should not be doing. I wish you all the best and it looks like you have a handle on it. Lucky is how I feel. I had a tumor and it was removed and I have no active cancer in my body any longer. Sending you lots of love and happiness. K
@linablues6881 I'm in no pain. I had chemo for 5 months. It ended in September. Thank God it's over. Now just dealing with after effects from chemo. I am on another therapy now. I'm feeling better. I hope you are well.
My wife had a double mastectomy in May & is recovering nicely. This video (and others) was a big help in preparing. Thanks so much for sharing your journey. Love from New Orleans!
I have been searching for you everywhere in the last year! I don’t know why the algorithm didn’t work, but luck has finally prevailed, and I found you again! So glad to see how you are progressing and you are still just as beautiful of a woman. God bless you, Becky!
I have also just been diagnosed with eleven' luminal type A breast cancer and have brca 1. My surgeon recommended double mastectomy plus ovarian and fallopian tube removal! What do you think about the issue of removing the ovaries?
You’ve been through so much. Now is your healing time, take all the time you need. You are such a brave girl. It is a very big thing you’ve gone through. Take care and love and positive thoughts are coming to you from me in Australia. 💜🌻🐨🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing your story 🙏🏼 I will be be going in for surgery in March 2023, double mastectomy as well. This sheds light on what to expect. Thank you again. Sending you supreme healing vibes! I hope you are feeling better💕
I’ve been watching your story with interest. I also have the brca2 mutation and am awaiting BPM with reconstruction, although I’m a little older than you at 48. It’s good to see the raw truth and that actually after two weeks you’re looking great and are able to move around a little. Thanks for this Becky and for all that you’re doing to raise awareness, there’s not a lot out there xxx
Good to see you, as for the numbness, mine has never gone, 8 yrs on and still there, my consultant told me it may never go and so far he was right, take care xx
Thanks lovely 💜 yeah i think its just something i'll have to get used to - a strange feeling (or no feeling!!) at the moment, but then its a big change. Hope you are well xxxx
Becky, I can't POSSIBLY TELL YOU how this video, your charming charisma & most positive outlook has helped me. I didn't know my daughter was having double mastectomy until she phoned after surgery 2 days ago. They had not wanted me to worry before hand. I'm sure she's sleeping off meds & allowing body to repair. Only getting a couple of very brief texts has left me knowing next to nothing about what to expect. You've been an absolute lifesaver. I feel so encouraged. Your bubbly spirit is awesome. My daughter is married to an angel just like yours, so I know she's in good hands. Thank you a million times over & over for so generously sharing your journey. I no longer feel destroyed by grief. I send best wishes from New Orleans, USA . You never mentioned reconstruction here. I know my daughter is planning for it relatively soon. Wish I knew if you have done it & your feelings about it. I don't have Instagram unfortunately. Cheers darling precious girl w forever gratitude. . 😊❤
Great to see you you are so strong, and being so tired after going out is normal, I learnt that all the afternoon sleeps i needed was my body needing downtime to regenerate along the recovery, (not same op, but big op for facial tumour). Keep being in tune with what your body needs don’t put pressure on yourself, or you will be disappointed with yourself so do allow yourself to sleep it is so so important. Can’t wait for book 4 to arrive! We are all so proud of you 😍x
aw thank you so much mdear, its so good to hear from others who have been through big ops, it helps me to understand the pace i should go at! Hope you are doing ok xxxx
@@BeckyExcell I am doing ok thank you, constant tweek in pain meds due to nerve pain but i am well and healthy, you take care, you are an inspiration Becky you really are 🤗
Thank you for sharing your story. I'm 25 and I've just found out that I'm BRCA1 positive, so I'll need to have this procedure in the future. Hearing you talk about it and seeing your journey is really helping me process and deal with it ❤
You are a beautiful lady with a warm kind heart hope you are keeping well cancer showed up in my left breast recently after 19 years consultant was unsure but felt mastectomy was best option I felt physically and mentally bilateral surgery would be best for me he said today yes we can do that the nurse just as surprised as i was hopefully I will cope alright 63 in July and I can relax and get back to enjoying life again need the little cushion
Good to see you looking so well, and so happy your op went ok. I've just passed 13 year since my op and still have numbness, but hey thats fine isnt it. Wishing you a speedy revovery. Gentle cyber hugs 💐
I just had a double mastectomy on May 31st, and have been very interested to follow your journey. Very glad to see you feeling better as time passes, and wish you all the best! 😘
Thank you SO much for sharing! I’ll be going through this exact procedure mid October in the US. Seeing your journey is so helpful. I’m a bit nervous about the anesthesia and those drains, but I know that’s all short lived. Now I’ll have to look at your books as well!
I’m five weeks post op this week after my double mastectomy. (No reconstruction). Definitely started feeling more normal after week 3 was done. Videos like this helped me know what to expect. Naps were my friend. Slept horribly those first three weeks.
Bless you. Sending thoughts and prayers with your recovery. You're so strong and such an amazing person for sharing your journey. This will be helpful and comforting to many others. Wishing you the best and listen to your body and heal ❤️☺️
Just come across your channel. Had my mastectomy 6 days ago and had my first drain out yesterday. Like you, I’m glad I didn’t know how it would feel but when she took it out there was a loud ‘ouch’ from me. Will be having my second one out next week and I’m really not looking forward to it 😞
Thank you for sharing. I tested positive for BRCA1 gene and I will be having preventative surgery too. I have so many mixed feelings and I've felt alone in so many areas. I tend to worry about others feelings versus processing my own. I'm grateful to 'take control to have this' but I'm also a bit angry..confused..sad..scared. so much. If I view it from the outside looking in..i can process it and make sense of it ...but when I see it from my perspective...I feel a Rollercoaster of emotions.
Hi Becky, so good to see you after your op, been hanging out for an update. You look amazing and I'm so happy for you, it was a huge thing for you to go through and it can only get better. I can't imagine the gamut of feelings you will be roller coasting through but we are all with you. All the best look forward to the next instalment, greetings from sunny Queensland Australia 🇦🇺💐💖🤗
aw thank you so much Jayne :) its definitely a bit of a crazy rollercoaster of ups and downs but it feels so much easier to cope with knowing i've got so much support and love even through a computer screen!! xxx
What a journey you have been going through, I cannot imagine. It's good to see you feeling better. Your husband is such a sweetheart too, it made me tear up a little to hear him be so supportive. You two are very fortunate to have each other. And you dog . . . toooo adorable! Edit: From the US, WA State. I just preordered your book. I can't wait for it to come!
I'm so glad I found this video! A friend works for your publisher and mentioned you've been posting about your double mastectomy journey. I have the BRCA1 mutation and have been planning a double mastectomy with reconstruction for a year(ish). I found out on Wednesday that my surgery is 9th of July! This video has really helped prepare me mentally and practically and your scar video has made me feel so positive to see you looking so well and healed at only 3 weeks. I'm definitely going to get my partner to watch these videos to prepare him as well. So thank you so much for posting this and being so open and honest. I'm feeling much more calm and zen 😂 Best wishes for your ongoing recovery, I'll be thinking of you xx
Wow! I've never been this early to one of your uploads. Praying that your recovery has been going smooth and that you haven't been having too much pain 🙏🏻🌷
I think you are absolutely extrodinary. In our journey with Tim's leukaemia and now Coeliac, we too are grateful. There are always others that are worse off but do not let it lesson what you are going through. I did a round in surgery whilst becoming a nurse and saw what was done to the body and thought, oh my goodness, no wonder people are in so much pain afterwards! I am just so glad this huge step is behind you and you are home and recovering. Congrats on the new cookbook, already pre-ordered it, along with thousands of others out there. Take care and God bless. x
Thank you for making these, I'll be seeing my plastic surgeon tomorrow to decide on a surgery plan. IT's been so comforting to watch your videos and the other women who have posted BRCA content. I may do the same and add to the pile to pay it forward. thank you.
Really glad your operation went well 💕 and your recovering okay 💕💕 been thinking of you ❤️ so brave and thank you so much for sharing your journey Take care💛💛 xxxxxx💕💕💕💪💪
Glad to see your recovering well!! Thank you for taking us along on your journey. You are truly inspiring!! Also happy to see Mark and Peggy taking good care of you. Congratulations on the new book.
It’s so good to see the op went well. You really are such a wonderfully positive person Becky, wishing you all the best. And on a side note, if you are still looking for wild garlic I’ve eventually found some, my friend works in a local garden centre and has gifted me some pots. You are more than welcome to some 😊 xx
I just found out my nana has breast cancer I’m both breasts they caught it early and I wanted to make sure she gets the best care possible thank you and you are still beautiful I’m so proud of you and how strong you are
Hi, glad I found your video, had the same op as you last Thursday, at the same hospital and can also recommend the reco bra. Drains have been a pain but had one removed today so feeling less hampered.
@elinabalt7716 To answer your questions, I felt nothing during surgery and they also monitored my brain during the operation which is the first time I have had this done. ( this is my fifth operation over about 40 years). I didn’t feel much pain immediately after the surgery, probably because of the morphine, in fact I felt pretty good. As for coping with the fear and nerves, I basically distracted myself but you need to find what works for you. I don’t know where you live but in the UK MacMillan Cancer Support offer all round support including emotional for anyone affected by cancer. Yes Lymph nodes were removed and I had an injection a day before the operation which is slightly radioactive to help them locate which nodes to remove which turns your urine green. After the injection you have to go straight home. I now have cording from the lymph node removal and have been advised how to massage but if that’s not working I can be referred to the physio team. The worst thing was the drains, the cording, not being able to drive and waiting for the results from the breast tissue which took 4 weeks and I got today which thankfully had no further cancer. So feeling pretty emotional right now. I wish you the very best and please seek support from wherever you can such as local groups, FB groups etc. This journey is a complete rollercoaster and one which none of us have wanted so look after yourself and get the support you need.
Hi Becky, I'm pleased the operation went well. You are such a brave and inspirational lady. Its easy to think why me, something I've done as new illness have presented themselves on top of IBS and food intolerance. I have EDS and bad days can get you down and i will use your upbeat positive attitude to slap myself out of my sorrowful pit 😁 I wish you a speedy recovery and many well wishes. Good luck to Marc with the cooking responsibility, get him trying some new cooking skills. X
Thanks so much lovely 💜 always remember its totally ok to not be ok sometimes, i certainly have my bad days too but im so glad my positive attitude might have helped a little :) always here to talk on the harder days if you need it xxxx
I have also just been diagnosed with eleven' luminal type A breast cancer and have brca 1. My surgeon recommended double mastectomy plus ovarian and fallopian tube removal! What do you think about the issue of removing the ovaries?what is you dr plant for you. Thanks
Goodness! You are so brave and strong, Becky. It seems to me that you had a lot to deal with after being sent home so quickly. I had a breast reduction 8 years ago and was in hospital for 3 nights following. I was so grateful to have been there, too. I had numbness for a couple of months afterwards, but most of my feeling did finally return, so it is early days. Also, I was told that feelings of upset are normal due to the fact that you've had radical surgery, but also because your hormones take a while to normalize, so there's no need to justify it at all. Wishing you all the best xox
This is so useful to me with upcoming breast cancer surgery ❤❤ don't know if I missed it but did you have reconstruction too? And if so what kind ? Thanks for sharing this in so much detail, I feel so much better watching this 😊
hey lovely :) good luck with your surgery hope it all goes ok. So i have had reconstruction and it was done at the same time as my mastectomy - ive had implants - if you watch some of my later videos i actually show them a little bit more too xx
How many days after the surgery did you need help getting in/out of your chair/bed? When could you get out of your chair/bed by yourself? How did you shower and use the toilet right after surgery?
Hope! Thank you for filming that update! You have gone through so much so far. You did it and you look healthy and beautiful! I will be praying for your reconstructive surgery in January. Also, looking forward to seeing your upcoming hauls!! :-) -- La Rue
Sorry I couldn't share my experience with you before your op. Hoping you're recovering well now. There's huge amounts of support out there for people like you and me (I'm a uniboober who found a mutation after op not before). Try Flat Friends as a start... x
thanks for sharing, i had a mascectomy and was home in the afternoon, i had no vomiting as the anethetist put some anti sickness in the anesthetic which really helped, i believe you can actually ask for that too.i was lucky i had a brilliant surgeon, whose stiches were so neat,i had no bandages or dressing, just one long very wide plaster over the stitches.and she told me that it would actually dissolve along with the stitches, i also had no drain which was a bonus, after a full mascectomy, 4 days in i am slowly doing my excercises ,cant thank my surgeon enough, i dont want reconstruction at my age 72 but in 6 weeks i will be measured up for my prosthesi
Becky you are such an inspiration and brave young lady with a big heart. You have helped so many with your openness and honesty. You have helped me with my Coeliac diagnosis and you are my number one gluten free you tuber. Love & hugs to you, Mark & lovely Peggy 💕
Sleeping on your back sucks! I couldn’t wait to sleep on my side , front took a lot longer but then I don’t tend to sleep on my front anyway. You seem to be looking pretty good despite the major surgery. Having your hair washed feels amazing doesn’t it, my sister was staying and did mine for me, makes a big difference to how you feel 👍🏻
It’s so cliche to say but you are so brave and to share your story . My mom is a breast cancer survivor and I started getting mammograms young in my 30’s (44 now ) we have to be our own advocates .. otherwise no one else will be
You're very brave, hope you're feeling better each day, and I'm sorry you got so unwell due to the anesthesia 😖 I have a fear of that so I feel for you ❤
I'm not going to lie. I'm scared and upset. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Lobule Carcinoma. I was having the Lumpectomy and reconstruction but since no plastic surgeon that accepts my insurance work with my doctor or she doesn't work with them so now I have to do the bilateral mastectomy. 'm researching to understand. Your video helped.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m 32 and about to take the same journey. So many emotions but so grateful to be fighting this battle.
Any advice?
Just diagnosed with breast cancer for the third time. Decided to have a double mastectomy this time. Thank you for sharing your journey.
im 25 years old and im watching this to give me the courage to go through this myself! >,< getting my double mastectomy surgery in 3 weeks! hope I can be as cool and strong as you! sending lots of love :)
Going to the loo was such a relief!! x
Just watching the beginning of this video, I wanted to say what an AMAZINGLY STRONG women you are to share the true journey with everyone on TH-cam 💖
I'm sure I'll have more to say after seeing this whole video.
Sending love and healing energy your way 🥰💖
aw thank you so so much, hope you enjoy the rest too :) xxx
How are You Kd? Are you fine now?

Age 32 - was diagnosed a week ago. Thank you for this. ❤
@anneholiday1744 diagnosed last week. Blessings being sent your way. I’m 57
Thank you so much lovely, really appreciate it xxx
Thank you for sharing your story 🙏🏼 I will be be going in for surgery in March 2023, double mastectomy as well. This sheds light on what to expect. Thank you again. Sending you supreme healing vibes! I hope you are feeling better💕
Thank you for this update! So glad you are recovering so well. All the best with your healing! 🤗🌷
thanks lovely xx
Mark is such a great guy and so glad he is there for you.🧡
I am so lucky to have him, honestly not sure what i would have done without him! xx
I’m BRCA 1. My surgery is January 30, 2023. I really appreciate your videos
Gentle cyber hugs 💐
thanks lovely :) so glad you're getting on well too! xxx
I just had a double mastectomy on May 31st, and have been very interested to follow your journey. Very glad to see you feeling better as time passes, and wish you all the best! 😘
Hey Kathy, how are you feeling and getting on? Hope all went well xxxx
Thank you SO much for sharing! I’ll be going through this exact procedure mid October in the US. Seeing your journey is so helpful. I’m a bit nervous about the anesthesia and those drains, but I know that’s all short lived. Now I’ll have to look at your books as well!
How did yours go? I’ll be going through it soon
@@Amethyst12thheaven very well! The anesthesia was not bad at all-no side effects. Drains were a pain, (I had 4) but no complications. Good luck 💕
@@lisag8463 thank you
So glad all went well with the op Becky, you’re amazing and wishing you all the best with your healing ❤️🩹
Thanks Lizzy! xx
Take care! 😇 You are so brave to share your story and undergo the surgery, appreciate your honesty. 💗
thanks so much mdear xx
Thank you so much for sharing this. This is very helpful for me before my surgery on the 20th of September, 2023!
Wow after two weeks, that’s great to know. You look great! I just had mine 7 days ago. It gives me hope . 🙏🏼
I’m five weeks post op this week after my double mastectomy. (No reconstruction). Definitely started feeling more normal after week 3 was done. Videos like this helped me know what to expect. Naps were my friend. Slept horribly those first three weeks.
Lovely to see you up and about. Thank you for sharing and yes...would love to see the end result!
Thanks so much Diana, I'll make sure that i do :) xx
Bless you. Sending thoughts and prayers with your recovery. You're so strong and such an amazing person for sharing your journey. This will be helpful and comforting to many others. Wishing you the best and listen to your body and heal ❤️☺️

So glad to see you are doing well. Prayer for healing.🧡
Thanks lovely xxxx
Great to hear you are recovering so well, Becky, your openness is an blessing. 🌹
Thanks Gail, means a lot! xx
I can't wait for it to come!
aww thanks so much, yeah Mark has been such a rock, i couldnt do it without him! (Not married... yet! One day I hope 😂) xxx
Praying that your recovery has been going smooth and that you haven't been having too much pain 🙏🏻🌷
thanks lovely, been doing ok! Its all getting better slowly! xxx
@@BeckyExcell I’m glad to hear! Stay safe and strong 💞
I'm glad you're surgery went well. May God bless you and keep you and your friends.
Take care and God bless. x
Good to see you looking so well, and so happy your op went ok for you.
Iv'e just passed 13 year and
Thank you for making these, I'll be seeing my plastic surgeon tomorrow to decide on a surgery plan. IT's been so comforting to watch your videos and the other women who have posted BRCA content. I may do the same and add to the pile to pay it forward. thank you.
Regarding pain, make sure you take your pain killers as soon as you feel any pain, you don't need to wait until the pain gets bad.
This made me cry. You and Mark are so lovely and the kindest people.

You are more than welcome to some 😊 xx
aw thank you so so much mdear :) ah we did go and get some wild garlic from a local wood a while ago now, but i really want to grow it myself!! xx

Thank you Becky! You provided a lot of valuable information, I have my surgery coming up soon. And by the way, you look great after 2 weeks.

Thank you for sharing, Becky. Stay gold.
2 weeks post mastectomy with immediate reconstruction and no pain whatsoever. I am a younger and fit female.
Glad to see your feeling/doing better
Thank you so much Joy xx

Thank you this helps me prepare for my wife's surgery.
You are so beautiful and brave. Wishing you all the very best for the future. Xx
Thank you so much! Going through a double mastectomy with reconstruction in 2 weeks, and I'm getting really anxious and nervous
Thanks so much mdear, that really means a lot xxxx
This is so useful to me with upcoming breast cancer surgery ❤❤ don't know if I missed it but did you have reconstruction too? And if so what kind ?
Thanks for sharing this in so much detail, I feel so much better watching this 😊
hey lovely :) good luck with your surgery hope it all goes ok. So i have had reconstruction and it was done at the same time as my mastectomy - ive had implants - if you watch some of my later videos i actually show them a little bit more too xx
Thank you for sharing. Everything you shared will help me in my journey.🙏🏻
What an extraordinarily, brave thing to do and, what a difference a couple of weeks make. You’re looking incredible, it’s good to see ❤️🩹
aww thank you so much xx
Try Flat Friends as a start... x
You are so courageous, about to be doing the same thing. Did you get reconstruction surgery as well ?
thanks for sharing, i had a mascectomy and was home in the afternoon, i had no vomiting as the anethetist put some anti sickness in the anesthetic which really helped, i believe you can actually ask for that too.i was lucky i had a brilliant surgeon, whose stiches were so neat,i had no bandages or dressing, just one long very wide plaster over the stitches.and she told me that it would actually dissolve along with the stitches, i also had no drain which was a bonus, after a full mascectomy, 4 days in i am slowly doing my excercises ,cant thank my surgeon enough, i dont want reconstruction at my age 72 but in 6 weeks i will be measured up for my prosthesi
How did you avoid not having drains my doctor told me I will be having four drains and I'm dreading it the most
Sending much love for a full recovery.. xxx❤️
thanks so much xx

Sleeping on your back sucks! I couldn’t wait to sleep on my side , front took a lot longer but then I don’t tend to sleep on my front anyway. You seem to be looking pretty good despite the major surgery. Having your hair washed feels amazing doesn’t it, my sister was staying and did mine for me, makes a big difference to how you feel 👍🏻
