iPhone 7 may or may not blow this out of the water but it will sport features better than just an iris scanner. Like let's say, DSLR quality pictures with optical zoom. Or intractable texting. Or better battery life. Or smarter photo gallery. Or an extra speaker. Just to name a few.

So Samsung just pulled an Apple an released the S version of S7 Edge, and nobody seems bothered. Not even Marques, shame. Such a shame.

Well usually the only thing that changes with iPhone's S versions is specs. When something other than just specs changes they get praised as well. Marques I believe didn't bother much because what the phone does is more than enough now and an improvement over the last Note model, but you can see the comments about S7 EdgeS.
He did call it the S7 Edge Plus? Because even he knows there's nothing special about this phone besides the fact it has USB C I will say that wireless charging case is a bit dumb it's basically a battery case not wireless charging

Just love the iris scanner on my 950XL. I think you'll prefer it over the fingerprint scanner. No problems with dirty or wet hands like with fingerprint readers. And it just looks very cool!
i must say i'm a bit of an iSheep, but i'm really, really starting to like what Samsung are doing.
I have 6s atm but i'm gonna switch to S7 Edge, i do like the Note but i dont see myself using a stylus (also too pricey). btw marques must have huge hands he makes that 5.7inch phone look average size lol
If I had the money, I'd go for the Note 7 tbh. Just because of the more durable display, usb-c, and the new updated OS overhaul.
I went from 6s plus to s7 edge and it's different world's.
Stylus is a must have. Use it for a week and you'll wonder how you ever got by without it.
Danny B jury is still out on the stylus for me, had notes 2&3 and never found a use for it. Maybe now they'll be better
go for note 7.better then s7 edge. hdr video for any movie you watch. once you use the stylus you really can't live without it. i6 user here

@4:51, the camera actually captures the InfraRed flashes from the phone's sensor. Look at the little flashing circle on the left of the "Samsung" logo.

That's not Android's problem actually, the founder of Snapchat hated Android so when he made Snapchat for Android (due to popular demand) he decided to make it take a screenshot of what's on the screen rather than utilising the camera.
The funny thing is, *Samsung* remains no. 1 largest mobile phone makers. Meaning it consumer is loyal to them. Doesn't matter about the explosion, just admit it and doing the best thing to avoid that in the future. Period.

It still kills me that phones these days have more ram than the PS3 and the 360 when they came out. Both consoles only had 512 MB of ram.
Why would it kill you? It makes perfect sense. Both of those consoles came out 10 years ago.
Yackass I'm just saying they were high powered consoles with less than a GB of ram and now these small devices we all carry around in our pockets outperform them on a certain level and have better specs too. It's kind of weird going from something like the PS3 and Uncharted 2 to an iPhone 6 and whatever's running on that. It's the march of technology but it's a little bizarre when you were actually there to see everything evolve so quickly.
RAM is not a defining factor for powerful hardware. There's the CPU, GPU, different processing architectures. The Xbox & PS3 use x86 based CPUs which are much more powerful than a standard ARM processor in phones. Also games like Uncharted and TLOU were optimized specifically for the CELL CPU built into the PS3.
These phones don't outperform last gen consoles. They're getting close, probably in the next few years they will, but they're not there yet.

You'll get a top notch battery life for sure. More so than any other Note in history.
I have the regular s7 and I definitely get a full day easy.
Maybe an average battery life. but one full days use shouldnt be a problem I'm guessing
krishna maverick No no no. The Note 5 last year had a pretty good battery life. The fact that the Note 7 has 16% larger battery, should mean above average battery life.
If Samsung added a more efficient display on their Note 7, it could have same battery life as the S7 Edge.

Sky Map, and it is AWESOME!!!! It is an app of the entire "known" galaxy. HA on a GALAXY phone, nice. Even shows through the earth to what is on the other side. Nice app to have when camping or sleeping out and mapping the sky. Awesome app

The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL have had an iris scanner for a while now and I can confirm that the technology works in the dark and through (most) sunglasses

In one Samsung Galaxy Note 7 that I watched recently (by Gadget Match, I think), inserting the S Pen in reverse does not actually do any damage/harm to the Note 7 anymore. Good job for Samsung to take notice of that and fixing it! Try it out soon, Marques!
