I know righht? The only phone that had a pen, Water resistant, AMOLED Screen, Large but slick design, Thin but not too thin and the bezel mini subtle curve to the screen with a micro SD slot! What phone has that? NOTHING. The closet is the S7E but the physical design is just not the same.

Kate De Aragon maybe, but it's harder to use anything but another Note once you've used one. I used an S7 Edge when my Note 4's screen was getting replaced by Samsung. It was tough. Couldn't wait to get my Note back. The S-PEN is just too valuable to me.

+dboymax1 actually waterproof is doable with a removable battery, but it's less scalable of course if you switch batteries, also the usual loss of a metal back(again there is the LG g5 style I've recommended for years, still).

I haven't felt much frustration until this moment but I've got to realize how first world this problem is and move on. I'll probably go with the S 7 edge or Note 5.

Awesome Person The iPhone 7 Plus is still a great phone. The specs are plenty, plenty high for iOS and I have never experienced lag on an iPhone 6/6S. Samsung makes great hardware, maybe even the best, but they just don't update there phones' software, and I want to have my phone for at least 4 years. That's probably why people stick with Apple, they simply update their products software for a very long time. The NOTE 7 will still be missed by many Apple and Android users, it was a solid piece of hardware.
Mario Plus, the iPhone's software is completely optimised and running natively on the phone making the specs worth more. Remember 1GB is somewhat like the equivalent of 2.5G of RAM on an Android phone. Same measurement for CPU speed.

The thing is all the exploding note 7's seem to explode in America which means the problem must have more to do with the chipset they had in the phone. 0 exploded in UK and they had the exynos chip in them. Correct me if I am wrong but I'm sure Snapdragon chips have always had over heating issues.

Months later and my Note 7 shows no sign of failure or overheating. I guess not charging my phone under pillows or in 120 degree vehicles has paid off.

Brenda Wiggins My guess from looking at the demonstrations of people puncturing or damaging the internal batteries to force them to catch fire is that many if not all of these phones were either severely defective or mistreated or just outright faked for publicity/sabotage.

I love my 1+3 64GB SOFT GOLD <3 I have used it/had it for now a couple of months. 2-3 months or so. SO GOOD PHONE! VERY AWESOME. Sure, it doesnt have android nougat and no stylus, and its slightly smaller. But its 399€....Huge value.
I can say 1+3 is awesome. I fully recommend the one plus three. Amazing phone! =) Also I recommend the LG V20

While I agree with you, both of my note 7's were solid. They were also the 'coolest' running android phone I've ever had (temperature). The problem I see with keeping it is software support. I can't imagine Samsung will spend resources updating a phone that has been completely discontinued/recalled. Getting the latest software is a huge part of the experience. I placed my order for the pixel xl this evening. Hoping for the best.

Hopefully this tragedy, doesn't kill off an excellent smart phone company. I feel badly for this huge financial loss for Samsung. I would also like to know in the end the true cause of the problem. What was causing the battery to overheat. I'm typing this on my Samsung Note 3. Still a excellent phone My next two purchases will be the LG V20 (still loving my V10) and the IPhone 7 Plus, (still loving my 6Plus). Don't worry about Samsung as a company, they can easily afford this loss. The major impact is just on future smart phone releases. This same company helped build the Burj Khalifa and the Petronas Towers. The Mobile division will take damage over the coming years but the company is 100% fine.
The only loss will be the name Note, they will likely be called 'pro' as in 'Galaxy S8 Pro' next year.
Nokia thought the same thing when they had a massive battery recall, something like this came wreck a companies reputation with customers. As someone that is now in the process of a second recall from Samsung I can tell you that I am not going with another Samsung phone.

They KNEW the phone was faulty and still sold it because they tought they could get away with it. Even one of their washing machines exploded because they're cutting corners in supposedly premium products.

It definitively was a great phone. It had a fire processor, a fire display, a fire front and rear camera, and fire battery life. This phone is on fire!

Kwanza Toney I freaking love this phone. As great as the S7 Edge is, the Note 7 is just heads and shoulders above. The software is cleaner, more responsive, battery life is phenomenal (which is odd because it has 100 Mah less than the S7 Edge) just everything is a step above. I'm sold. just hope the carriers don't blacklist the phone, or Samsung remotely disables it.

I want the Note 7 honestly I like the pen, the waterproof, the gif capture and the dual screen are all things that I wanted. My contract is almost ready for an upgrade and the Note is what I wanted this is annoying.
Yeah, I agree. I have the S7 Edge and it has all of the features that you mentioned, other than the pen (although you can buy one without the features.)

I feel like this tragedy shows something great to samsung, meaning they are going to put more time and quality into their products now. So sometimes out of the bad must come good.

To everyone who is still rocking the Note 7, not only for safety reasons should you return the Note 7 but...
1. In the coming months eBay, Amazon, and other sites will probably ban it so you wont be able to sell it or swap it 2. Don't expect any software updates 3. You wont be able to travel via airline with your phone, period.
(As a Note 7 owner myself, I hate that it must go, but please people return it now or be stuck with a explosive paper weight forever!)

Just want to ask, does the left side of your M50x sound a bit louder than your right side? The guy at the store said its because the cable comes from the left so it will sound a little louder because the signal will need more time/power to power the right side. I want to claim the warranty on my M50x because I don't think its suppose to be slightly imbalance. I can't find any info online, please help?? I don't think I'll be giving up my note 7 soon. have been considering the s7e but I need the active digitizer and I need the high-end camera plus I went all in with usbc adapters and accessories to get a phone with microb. will wait for a note 8 for sure

fair enough if your particular device may work perfectly, but bear in mind it is now illegal to take this phone on a plane
