- Galaxy Note 8 has arrived. Looking a lot like a Galaxy S8+ with dual cameras and a stylus... which is not a bad thing at all.

tm Lukasik I'm saving up for a note 5 or s7 since my note 4 constantly crash's and doesn't charge above 88% even after a new battery and it dies at 15% I tripped l knox so i don't think i can warranty/rma my device

Fingerprint reader is in a shit spot. But tbh this phone is very aesthetically pleasing, best looking phone of the year so far.

I've always appreciated these guys reviews since I was still in High School (shows how long this guy has been doing videos for), but the best is when you keep it simple, no more than 8 minutes, facts and the rest is up to you whether you want the product or not.
$ 1,000 for a smartphone? Yeah, I don't see myself spending anywhere close to that amount anytime soon.

I honestly love where the fingerprint sensor is. My finger has been engraved in a very similar position from holding my LG G3 for so long that, when I got the S8+ in my hands for the first time, I had no trouble using the sensor.

Yes but this one is probably selling more to people who thought the S8 was lacking and were willing to wait for the next one so S7 and note 6 users would probably be interested in this even if S8 users won't be.

Anthony Marquez dropped my S7 Edge, basically the same design with glass back, not a single scratch. Unless you purposely throw to the ground then there goes your 1K, but what kind of idiot would do that?
Year dude, that's not an argument, this thing is huge and way heavier it seems, also my phone did break when it fell from way less than half a meter, it just needs to hit the wrong spot, it's really scary to drop, and its too huge to use a protective case against. I fucking hate this design and the battery compromise, ( I don't think my S7Edge has a good battery to start with)

One thing I’ll always remember about the note 8 I used to have was how amazing it’s screen quality was. Watching TH-cam videos, movies, and TikTok videos were Fire on this device! Life was good when I used to have this phone when it was working and before I lost the pen.

i hate the edge, makes holding your phone annoying. You can't even hold it well without touching something on the screen. why does it seem like i'm the only one who hates the edge.
they made a small change to the edge from s7 to s8 i belive..- but i regret getting the edge version aswell. still, im buying this eventually. I loved my note tablet :)
Hunter Bowman they shortened the edge a ton. Also get a case, it helps a lot if u really get bothered by it

I owned a Note 7 before the recall and I'm definitely planning on getting a Note 8. Really sucks about that recall because if it never happened I would've passed on the Note 8 in a heartbeat but I just miss it so much.

You could add apps to the s-pen menu carousel on the Note 5. Just sayin'.
Noah Prisament You can even do that on the note 4. Opening 2 predetermined apps at once isn't new either. Just found out I can do this, too. Never used it though. The phone is just a hardware upgrade, which may be worth considering if your device is from 2014 or something.
The design does look pretty good, but I think a lot of people are waiting to see what the iPhone 8 will be like before they make decisions.

Funnily enough I was seriously thinking about downgrading from my S8+ to the S6 Edge, just because I miss the Emerald Green colour so much. But with the Maple Gold being available in the UK for the new Note phone, I will be going for that instead as it’s the only colour from the s6 - s8 range that I haven’t had yet. I wanted it when I got my S8+ but the colour wasn’t available in my region.
My s6 edge loses charge so fast im frustrated, it cant even last a day starting at 100%
is an old device, you have to replace the battery every now and then, or do a factory reset and see if that´s the problem, mine has no problem at all, and im a power user, im guessing it was pretty new when i bought it 2nd hand

At 8.6mm it's already quite thick. Samsung are going backwards to cover up the 7 coded fire hoaxes of the Note 7. This phone is bigger than the Note 7, yet has a smaller battery.
AZREDFERN iPhone doesn't even reach close to 3000mAH. Yet galaxy reached 4000mAH with their active almost 2 years ago..

there is a solution for both phones (s8+ and Note 8) reaching a fingerprint scanner... put the index and the middle finger holding much safer on the back on the phone and You can still grip the phone with just three fingers (the thumb, the ring and the pinky finger) at the sides. Like a peace-sign grip... very comfy to hold.

Played around with it at Best Buy last night. I preordered the orchid grey and I'm glad I did... it's gorgeous. Looks much better in person.
One thing though.... I have the note 5 now and I ALWAYS double click the home button to launch camera whether phone is off or on. With the note 8 since there's no physical home button, you double click the power button on the right side of phone to launch camera. I suppose I'll get used to it but I couldn't in the time I was playing around with it. Also kept pressing the bixby button to adjust volume. Can we change function of that button? That would be sweet
