Test drove a non hybrid SX prestige yesterday. Dealer said hybrids are non-existent in TX. Non-hybrid definitely was slow--def. needs the hybrid motor, and mpg isn't too hot. Dealer had a 7.5k markup lol on the non-hybrid and said they put 10k markup on hybrids lol. I'm not paying 50k for a kia compact SUV. Hoping the market gets better. If not, I'm literally driving my existing cars into the ground, Cuba style.

@@onhylde6086 report that to KIA, I got mine and in the after selling survey, they even ask if there was any mark up on price 👍

3k mark up in Seattle, WA. Non-negotiable. The sportage we test drove (non-hybrid) was purchased while we were putting in a deposit for a hybrid prestige coming next week (original customer backed out of their this morning and we got a call to deposit; they had several other people lined up for a deposit if we declined, which we didn't.. we took the 3k markup hit to avoid waiting 6 months for a MSRP Hyundai Tucson with no markup)
just picked ours up, 995 markup. 37k including tax otd for hybrid ex with sunroof. Northern VA

Picked my "Vesta Blue" hybrid SX-Prestigue up on Friday. So far I love it! The color was so much better when I saw it in person.

@@michelepeck536 Unfortunatly that color combo doesn’t come with that trim. I got the black interior. I think it was the only option with the vesta blue. That said, I love the combo. Very happy I got it. I think you are going to be happy as a clam too! Good luck!

@@desivlogs5612 I think it took about two months. Can't remember exactly. But it came just in time as I ordered the car so I could make a trip. As for the color... I think you are asking about the trim that goes around the pillars of the car, right? If so then yes, I got the dark trim. It is the only color that comes on the SX-Prestige trim. I actually like it. As for the interior... it is black (though t he headliner is the lighter cream color). I also like the interior as well. I think I would have preferred the black headliner but we can't have everything, right? (If we could I would have certainly gotten power folding mirrors but that wasn't even an option in the US (it is an option in Europe as far as I can tell though)).

I spoke to my dealer and he was telling me that the wait time for hybrid is 6-8 months and plug in hybrid is 8-10 months 🥲
I’m just concerned if I’d be getting a car at the end of last year if I place the order now….im just not sure if I should be getting hybrid or plug-in hybrid

The overengineered cup holder got me lmaoo, I actually really like it as my mug now fits

I appreciate your in-depth walkthrough. We ordered a car with this exact spec, so it was nice to see what it will look like "in person" rather than just the online renderings. Now we wait 8-12 months...

I just got mine at MSRP and it is worth the wait. You are correct. In person point of view gives you a better idea of what you're getting. It is also a lot higher off of the ground than you would think.

Thanks for the video is this a lot smaller then thr telluride? Is the inside color red or rust? Is this a lot smaller then the telluride? How would you say this compares to the Audi Q5 performance and size. My Q5 is a little small for me always drove SUV. I am a 74 year old widow and l love the Telluride but in Colorado they are jacked up $10k. My last car was an Infinity Q6 liked it’s size the Q5 just seems to small. I have driven a Q7 is this
Bought this exact model, pretty happy so far. Huge markup from the dealership but got it down to 4k, they wanted 10k locally and 7.5k in LA

I was able to find one in LA county for 4k markup also with 10k in addin features but they just waived that off
4k markup is still freaking insane.
I'd fly elsewhere to buy one with no markup...
Its good canadian dealership doesn't do that....across the board..not that i know of so far

The EXand SX does not. Only wireless charging. So you ja e to plug it in for Amdroid Auto play and Apple.
Just bought the sportage phev and absolutely love it. It goes with our ev6 fe

@@keriddunk1520 for the EV6 yes and my wife will get the 5k on the state level for her Sportage her in CT. The federal is gone. We did not buy it for the tax credit reason though so doesn't bother us. We bought it because it helps up save a huge amount of money and we have a 14kw solar system that juicebox has set up to charge with solar and battery.
Have you reviewed the 2023 crv and compared. Heard there is going to be more power and upgrades. Like to see comparison

We just put a deposit down. Wife liked the inside, I liked the power train, esp the reg auto. But the ext design surprised me. You can def see small design elements that are similar to Audi.
Literally looks nothing like an Audi u couldn’t pick anything more different looking 🤣. This is super weird and has that buggy look absolutely no Audi looks like this their all clean and simple designs, this is overly designed and down right ugly
@@Carfan678 First of all I said SMALL elements of design. Also I've had 3 Audi's over the last 5 years so you see subtle things after looking at one in your garage everyday. Last, Audi's designer went to Kia years ago and is now of their presidents. Maybe actually try to learn something about automotive design before trying to shit post.
@@Carfan678 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I think it is cool looking and so do allot of people. It is bold and different in a sea of boring small SUV’s

@@tommytfaa We just picked ours up today. EX awd, 34.8 combined going from Fairfax va to va beach. traffic, side streets, stop and go etc. Also the switch from ev to gas is seamless. Super impressed.
what hybrid model features apple car play?
Should I be worried with this if i drive 17k miles a year ona verage and drive on snow? concerns me if it can make it to 200k miles. Want this long term

I appreciate the kinds of reviews you do here, but the only time we actually see more than about 5% of the car... you're in the way. I'd encourage you to also take a minute to show what the car looks like. I wanted to send my wife a video where she could see how the hybrid looks in this color but it's all closeups.
Maybe you and I didn't watch the same video but he clearly shows a front view 1:11, side view 2:12 and rear view 2:59. Either you're blind, didn't watch the video or just like to complain. I could clearly see what the color and vehicle look like from what he shows.

I'm so torn between this or just wait and see what the 2023 RAV4 prime will look like. I feel like this has alot more tech but the RAV4 has a better Powertrain.

Toyota is always way behind on tech. Their hybrids are tried and true though. Do you plan on keeping the Kia past 100k/10yrs?
@@agger838 probably. I always try to keep my cars as long as I can. I take really good care of them. So they last me a while. Have a 2010 Camaro SS with 236,000 never had any engine problems. I have a 2020 Nissan Sentra SV that i want to trade in for that Kia Sportage phev

What’s going on with that rear middle fold down cup holder? Does it not stop at 90 degrees? Seems like an odd miss for a premium package.
That red is ughhh! I have the same gravity grey in the EX Hybrid. I couldn't justify the extra $7k (in Canada) for a few extra nice to have features that I will probably never use or wont miss not having them.

The big question is how will the quality hold up over some years? Only time will tell.
Well it does give you 5 years/60k bumper to bumper warranty.
Kia and Hyundai are recalling over 500 000 veh with engines catching fire so 🤷♂️

I bought a 22 Sorento hybrid s 3 payments ago....4500 miles and it stopped working (may 25). Still in the shop, Kia in Korea is baffled, I'm pissed.
Just curious how they handled it. I know it's under warranty but did they give you a loaner car?
@@amonslow yeah....I'm driving a 21 kia Sorento (POS) and sadly I can say this has been an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with this dealer. This is my second Kia from them and they treated me like a king on that Niro but that was pre COVID. Im talking....I haven't even heard one word or text from my service advisor. I've had to call and ask if anyone had a freakin clue. All I heard was that Kia was working with them to fix it. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I think the dealership is VERY short handed due to this MIA workforce. I dunno but I don't want the Sorento anymore.
Sorry to hear that. I have a deposit on a camry hybrid but I'm kinda intrigued by the kia/hyundai brand because of the features and big warranty. Warranty is no good if they don't take care of you.
@@amonslow I suspect the breakdown is supply chain related. I'm not sure but my past experience with Kia was absolutely amazing. I don't think you will go wrong on either car.
How can you not compare it to Hyundai tucson hybrid. You only mentioned rav4 and crv as its competitors. These both have turbo engines with nice torque. I wanted your view between both these korean makes vs rav4 or crv. Cmon
Because they are basically the same - same power train and battery, same infotainment, just cosmetics are different. What is there to compare..

We seriously need more KIA haters, there is no goddam inventory for 2023 sportage hybrid.
People found out KIA went all out with 2023 hybrid powertrain and now the dealerships are literally auctioning these things off. Honda CRV hybrid being a let down with CVT engine didn't help with inventory situation at all.😡🤬
It is not worth it when you have to get the dealer anywhere from 5:00 to $7,000 just to buy one forget it
It's cheaper because it will start falling apart by year 7-8 while the Rav4 would last for 15-20 years (Ex Kia owner).

I have a white 2007 Kia Sportage EX. It's been a great vehicle for me and it still runs well. I bought it new, have had it for 15 years now, and it's in great condition. I just sold it to the first person who looked at it, and am getting another Kia Sportage 2023 X Line or SX. I hope I will have the same good luck with my new one. Definitely shop around. One dealer tried to charge me $6500 more for the exact same vehicle with the exact same package. This same dealership told me I had to finance through them or they wouldn't sell me a car. Sad, because it's the same dealership that I purchased the Kia I have now from. They obviously don't value their known customers to pull that. They suddenly changed their mind and said I could finance on my own, after I told them I wouldn't purchase from them unless I could. When I told them I got a much better price elsewhere, they said they could come down $1000. Needless to say, I went with another dealership who didn't play shady games. I got an entended wrap around warranty and still saved over $5000.😊

Rav 4 and CRV are way overpriced and not as interesting looking. Not to mention the warranty and materials used in the KIA. I drove them all and it was a no brainer to go for the KIA Sportage Hybrid.
