    The Ariya does show you the charging rate, its in the menu system on the left screen, not the right where you looked.

    It does have single pedal drive, it will almost vome to a stop when release gas pedal. I have tried alot of evs, and it's my favorite so far. And it was a long road trip, that really sold me on the Aryia. But it would be nice with faster charging, it also have blind sone detection.

      It stops if you use Pro pilot and cars in front of you stop, otherwise it creeps. However, the system is WAY more balanced than in the LEAF.

    NISSAN ARIYA was ranked #1 (actually tied with EV6) for JD Power Initial Quality survey this past month in June 2023.
    I was one of the owners who gave Nissan almost 5 stars on everything. The Nissan Ariya should be badged as an Infiniti Ariya. It’s such a joy to drive the Ariya. It’s butter smooth and excellent cabin quietness.

    If money is not a consideration then I prefer the Ariya, even with inconvenience of slower charging and the worse charging network. It seems like a nice car, but it’s not fantastic, so I don’t think it’s worth the price. I tried to test drive one about a month ago, but when I got to the dealership they said the AWD model wasn’t available for a test drive. It turned out that the 12 v battery was dead. They got back to me a couple of weeks later then they had it fixed and I decided that I was never going to buy it for the price so I passed. I did sit in one and tried the buttons and controls and I really didn’t like all of the haptic buttons. I did test drive a Y and the horsepower was very good, but there was nothing else I particularly liked about it. I’m not a fan of minimalist styling, it just strikes me as being cheap and less user friendly.

    • @nipheleim871
      @nipheleim871 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Then buy the Ariya, even though its obvious the Model Y is clearly a better car - better specs (range, speed/charging speed, charging network, costs, safety, software, storage etc). Oh right, you wont because the Ariya is more expensive, so you would be paying more for less 🤭
      But yes "you're not a fan of minimalist styling, it just strikes you as being cheap and less user friendly." Then go for the one with more haptic buttons which you don't even like.. lmao xD

    Yeah the Ariya was designed to be practical over the Tesla Y which is not practical for everyone. I priced a Tesla Y 65k and the Ariya was 48k so don't really need the 7k tax credit because you saved 17k over the Tesla Y now prices have been falling but still the Ariya is more practical to zip around tow in and do Uber with. I go to work and home do errands and a single charge will last me almost 2 weeks on my 65kW battery. Our town has 1 DC fast charger with 2 stalls that's it. They say fast, it is about 78kW of speed at the only charger in town. My CO2 savings 11288.85 for 2023 and total energy consumed is 5903.25 and total distance was 17477.47 miles. So in 2023 I spent 617 hours in this car. On avg for the year of 2023 my driving economy was 2.96 mi/kWh based on the fact I really was just getting used to an electric car. In 2024 that is more around 3.9 mi/kWh and it has hit 5.9 mi/kWh.

    Ariya is far better for road trips because of the smooth comfortable drive for long trips vs a Model Y (bumpy and more road noises). As for charging, Nissan is working on their new OTA to increase the speed and range along with adding one pedal feature.

    That motorized center hidden glovebox would be good for someone like me, who conceal carries, and if you need to go inside somewhere that doesn't allow you to carry inside. My Model Y glovebox is great, because it has the ability to add a PIN, but it doesn't fit my whole firearm and holster, so I have to separate them to stow it, which is more dangerous.

    • @marketbuy
      @marketbuy ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You should compare the features that the Ariya has that Model Y doesn’t have starting with panoramic moonroof that actually opens and closes + an electric sunshade cover. How much is that worth? How about rear spoiler with rear wiper? How about metallic pearl paint? How about Android Auto/Apple CarPlay? How about simple car handles to grab onto? Etc etc.

  • @dotsmada2855
    @dotsmada2855 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    The look is really nice on the Ariya. I like the interior and exterior, probably more so than the Tesla. I do prefer the Tesla screen as it appears to be laid out much better while the Nissan looks like a typical dash infotainment screen which are usually subpar. The Nissan has an unnecessary start button. As far as range is concerned with the Nissan having less and charging slower that wouldn't bother me too much as I personally do >95% of my charging at home. Sentry mode is a huge plus for Tesla. I wonder how integrated the app is for the Nissan or if it even has one. The biggest negative for me on the Nissan isn't really to do with the car itself, it's having to go to a dealership to buy one. No thanks.

      Three years with the Tesla Model 3 and I have never had to use the frunk. If...it was electrically operated perhaps. Reason for the Ariya lack of frunk is that they moved several parts such as ventilation fans out of the interior to the front in order to keep the cabin quiet.

    Maybe a different look, but would still go with the Tesla model Y long range. Cost of the Ariya is up near the price of the Tesla models, but since made in Japan there are no Tax credits.
    Plus I don't know how is the buying/service processes to go through a Nissan dealership vs the easy online process to buy a Tesla vehicle.
    Watching all videos to get a feel of the different EV vehicles and will get an EV sometime in 2024. Would like tot get the newer version of the Model Y that is coming out. Like you said, when do we jump on the bandwagon to buy one of these vehicles with all the rapid changes going on.

      I like my Ariya because I get so much attention. Wouldn’t want lots and lots of Ariyas driving around. My Ariya is as unique as a Porsche Taycan. Fact is, I can care less if Ariya isn’t the hottest selling SUV EV. It sure does get a lot of attention with the 2 tone colors and dark tints. A lot of Tesla fanboys vinyl wrapped their rooftop with black wraps. It looks lame. Ariya is gloss black on the entire top.
