    Vodka decants while sitting and brings out subtle flavors and smooths the liquor out. I always let my vodka sit open for an hour or so before drinking. For sure the pyramid helped the flavor though, haha.

    • @SpaceJelly7
      @SpaceJelly7 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      exposure to oxygen changes the alcohol, so the longer you leave something sitting out, the more the taste will change (though not dramatically so). A lot of volatile compounds evaporate which is why the flavor can subtly change. If you leave a shot of vodka out for an hour or so, it will appear to have a smoother flavor. If you leave vodka inside a pyramid however, the ethyl alcohol compounds undergo a chemical change that give them mystical properties ✨🔺

      _they also found copper alloy rods_
      The only copper found in the Great Pyramid I'm aware of, are copper handles embedded in small plugs in what are probably ventilation shafts in the Queen's Chamber. A robot with a drill sent a camera beyond one of these plugs and found empty space and another plug (without handles) beyond. No wires, etc.

    I am only 40 mins in and I just want to say again, that I love you guys. I’m really happy you touched on the ancient aliens/racist problem bc it really is glossed over in a lot of conversations/communities. So happy to be a part of this one! Also- absolutely love the 70s. I’m with you, Dana. 💃🏽 🕺

    • @AndrewFarmerH
      @AndrewFarmerH 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Von Däniken may be racist, but the idea of ancient aliens is not. The ancient aliens theory better aligns with the claims of indigenous people whose oral histories state that their people did not build the local pyramids. The mainstream view is more racist in that it disregards indigenous oral histories as 'just stories' with no real historical value. "Shut up, we know you built these"

    • @ghost-user559
      @ghost-user559 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I mean it’s not actually a problem, it’s more like a deflection from what people don’t want to actually admit. Either we admit all these ancient tribes really did see half human half animal beings, and they really did see giants and all these mythical beings or they are all wrong. It’s more racist to claim they are all just uninformed and ignorant than it is to actually believe what they said they saw?

    • @moderatafonte
      @moderatafonte 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Hi! I was referring to the conspiracy theory that credits extraterrestrials for the construction of the pyramids in Giza instead of the Egyptians who actually built them.

    • @ghost-user559
      @ghost-user559 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@moderatafonte I know, but I am saying that those cultures all said they did get help from supernatural beings and “gods”. I am saying it’s more racist to think they were just simple minded or superstitious than it is to acknowledge the possibility that there are things beyond our understanding. Every single culture on earth said the exact same things, they said some outside forces or beings from the sky helped them and taught them. It’s more racist to ignore all those indigenous cultures just because a whyte presenter told their story than it is to actually take them seriously and acknowledge their stories.

    I grew up in a pub, and I promise you, the first swig of spirits kills your tastebuds.
    My father often ran hilarious tests on the locals, blindfolding them and having them try to tell the difference between Guinness, Ale, and Lager/Beer. If it was their first drink, they could all tell them apart easily. If they'd had even half a pint of beer -- about as much booze as a swig of spirits -- then they had no idea at all.
    If you're out for a night of drinking, only ever have the fancy stuff for your first drink. After that, even the cheapest muck will be great!

    I grew up in the 70's and lived in Columbus, IN. After the pyramid power books came out, a guy built several sizes of pyramids in his yard. One that was big enough to get into. We always wondered if anything happened to him. The pyramids are still there. I don't know if the same guy lives there, but I think he probably does. I always think about it when I'm driving by.

      One of my old elementary/high school friend's dad is German and a student of the work of Rudolph Stiener and has lots of crazy stories. He had constructed a giant wood pyramid frame and my friend could see auras while standing inside it when she was 6. She didn't know anything about auras at that time and said she'd see holes in some people's auras and instinctively used her fingers to sort of smudge the colors into the hole.

    Ancient Aliens hypothesis is def a no go. On the other hand, the more you look into the pyramids and all the related topics, the more questions you have. I think the questions out there are more powerful than the answers provided by Egyptology. The thing that is hard about this topic is that there is a logical hole out of any problem on any position. The sad reality is that we will probably never know the true timeline of the construction, restoration, and uses of these sites. But it is damn fun to speculate on it and I think everyone can agree on that.

    • @heyguysinternet
      @heyguysinternet 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I'd say that Egyptology is about a hundred years out of date, if not more so. Like so many domains of study, it demonstrates how discoveries advance not according to impartially following the evidence, but according to what's conceptually permissible. And then you have examples of research being explicitly obstructed by people like Zahi Hawass. But I don't think the anomalies can be swept away with readymade explanations forever.

    • @TankUni
      @TankUni 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@heyguysinternet We know more about the Ancient Egyptians than ever before. We can read the hieratic and hieroglyphic texts they left behind and have the benefit from over two centuries of archaeology. I'm a bit stumped how you can claim the field is 'a hundred years out of date'.

    • @RANDOMCOLLISION
      @RANDOMCOLLISION 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TankUni I think what he means more precisely is kind of what I was saying. More information just presents more questions. Example: with the relatively new translations of hieratic that we can read, are there any examples of descriptions of techniques used for cutting granite or moving large stones? I’d love to read about that if there are. The point is that this topic is a Pandora’s box. More clarification like translation does not mean we know everything now. It’s just a new beginning.

    Awesome discourse - you guys are literally the real life versions of the Scooby Doo crew.
    Notes - great pyramid doesn’t have any hieroglyphs also the very mysterious Osirion temple.
    Christopher Dunn is a legit researcher. Believe he was an engineer for NASA at some point. He made all kinds of specific measurements inside the Great Pyramid so he did some serious research first. He also noted the tolerances of the carved stone are unnecessarily high. To the level of tolerances created by industrial computer guided cutting tools. How did they do that with crude chisels and why would they go that far to cut these stones so precisely unless it had a specific scientific reasoning behind it. Also all the precision in its orientation is another sign of some kind of scientific reasoning and purpose.
    Keep up the good work! Love this discourse! ❤

    I remember reading about this many, many years ago and my first thought was that this was the reason for spires on churches, to gather and funnel prayer energy. It’s fascinating. As for that French pamphlet being the source, wasn’t it a Frenchman who was responsible for tarot cards becoming a divination tool rather than just a game? Those French have a lot of ‘splaining to do, lol. Guys like Toth were probably very smart science wise but I think not smart enough to avoid the power of their publishing company’s advertising department. I think the idea of selling pyramids and related jewelry was probably pushed on them, at least in the beginning. Great podcast guys. The reason you find so many similarities between modern rites of initiation is they are likely modified versions of the rites used in ancient mystery schools. They stumbled across them after the last ice age ended, this would in fact be the premise, which does align with the theory that the Sphynx bears signs of water erosion etc.

    Dana's face when she takes the "pyramid shot" and she just is like, "Wait. WTF??!!" LOLOL
    Uh, side about that, my buddy... who is into... some things like this and he had told me about a frequency he read about that is supposed to help take away impurities from water, like tap water. I was like... "Yeah, ok, buddy. Sure. Let's try it." I was kind of humoring him, right? Right. So, we took some tap water in two glasses, put it in front of one of his speakers and he played the frequency for a while and we went and played some Halo for a bit, then went back up to turn the sound/frequency off. I grabbed the glass of water, took a taste and.... we kind of had the same thing happen that you guys did with the vodka. Now, I live in NW Ohio, not Flint, Michigan, so... the tap water isn't all that bad to begin with, but you can still taste a bit of the.... "tap water" about it. However, after this frequency thing, the water did honestly taste way more pure. Now, granted... we had the two glasses of tap water just sitting there and chilling for like an hour or so... so... maybe some of the impurities settled at the bottom, so we had a drink of the top of the water. So... *shrugs*

    Who built the pyramids? I lean towards what the Emerald Tablets say and think the Annunaki had a hand in it since they are said to be older than what they’ve actually been dated. And I strongly believe and there is evidence that the pyramids were used to generate incredible amounts of power. The top used to be tipped in gold and the channels underneath helped as conductors. There’s also proof of an explosion it caused which turned the sand around it to glass which you can still see to this day. They are truly an incredible creation.

      I’ve learned not to entertain and argue with random narrow minded strangers a long time ago. Debates are great but when you throw in things like “hogwash”, that tells me you’re one of those. And you’re entitled to your opinion as I am mine. Unless you have actual proof you can show that isn’t based on humans limited amount of knowledge and understanding, then believe whatever makes your little heart content. Doesn’t affect me in the slightest.

    I had my first cigarette at like 5. My dad's girlfriend had a kid who was a very bad influence. We went into other people's garages in the neighborhood and messed with their stuff. We found cigarettes, and tried to smoke one. It was horrible, of course. Then, at 16, my girlfriend was smoking and I thought I'd join in.. aaannd I became a smoker into my 30s. Not anymore, though. I'm surprised pyramid power wasn't used as a "quit smoking" gimmick.

      @MollyBlueDawn 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, it would be more helpful if the pyramid made your cigarettes taste awful so that you wouldn't smoke them!
