That line about the Jedi not pulling a weapon unless prepared to kill is the worst part of the scene. It's worse than Carrie-Anne Moss dying, which is a big one. It makes as much sense for her to lower her guard from that line as it would if Mae just asked her to lower it.
I scroll through the comments and I feel some of the complaints seem...petty or are grievances with other shows. Through all the purposefully negative buzz, i decided tobkeep an open mind and found myself with a nice bit of escapist entertainment set in the Star Wars universe. The bonus is, i dont have to think about anything from the Skywalker saga. Kind of nice.
But why would you not want to think about anything from the Skywalker saga, i.e. the best part of Star Wars and what defined the IP? That makes ZERO sense.
@TiaraStarbrighter I enjoyed the Knights of the Old Republic console games and MMO. I also enjoyed the Tales of the Jedi comics set in the old Republic. These games and comics are set thousands of years before the Skywalker saga. They are Star Wars, and they really have nothing to do with the Skywalker saga, so there is a freedom there. Creators do not have to work around the saga and be constricted with their creativity. I also think the sequel trilogy was not great in its handling of Luke Skywalker and others from the OT. I don't really need anymore from that era. The sequel trilogy had a chance to give everyone a last ride and a little fan service before handing Star Wars off to the next gen, and they chose differently. I want to be away from all of that.
Nowadays little girls on padawan level can kill any Jedi Master they pick on. Oh wait, no I understand her superpower - she is a black girl. My apologies, how could I have missed that. Was really looking forward to see Carrie-Anne Moss in SW and they kill off her character like this? Wtf
Imagine master fisto, yoda, anakin, Ashoka, kirak infila etc dying to something like this lmaooooo
Master Fisto went out like a cheap punk against Palpatine. Barely lasted 10 seconds.
Actually this does happen to both Yoda and Anakin, only different is Anakin got knock out in one episode and other one got electricity repeatedly, I suprised Emperor didn't stab Yoda in the back while Yoda trying to save Anakin in very last Clone Wars episode before Disney season 7 came out, Emperor could have kill Yoda, Emperors literally got a chance to stab but choose electricity instead then but luckily it just an illusion, you know for powerful sith lord, Emperor really is very stupid during Duel fight mode, Mae literally have a smart battle IQ than Emperor Palpatine the powerful sith lord himself 💀
Carrie Anne Moss in her prime would be a believable Jedi.
I always said she should have been in the prequels or something. Lost opportunity. I see her as a awesome character in the EU books anyways

180 million dollars for THIS?!?!?! You gotta be kidding me.
There seems to be a bit of a pattern in this show.
- evil lady attacks jedi master
- jedi master, being a jedi master, trivially defends themself without attacking back (as a jedi master would...)
- jedi master does something very stupid (or doesn't do something, in this case) that causes them to die for the sake of the plot
what happened to star wars, this isn't star wars anymore.

"Stab wounds don't kill anymore! Boo!"
"Stab wounds killed her! Boo!"

So...lately characters can survive a lightsaber hit but now a Jedi can't if its a butter knife? Ok...when do we riot?
Supposedly it was poisoned.
That was right through her heart though lol. Most of the time we see someone survive a lightsaber it’s because it hit the lower abdomen
@@omarbaba9892a saber can melt metal, but a tiny blade is more powerful?

we did have maul survive being cut in half. but it seemed like he managed to use the dark side to force himself to stay ailve long enough for aid. Darth vader did the same. reeva i guess is implied to but unlike the rest she didn't get aid in the slightest for her injuries.
common denominator in a lot of these cases is dark siders..... sabine is another story entirely. maybe it can be reperable damage if you get someone into a bacta quickly and with qui gon he was left on the floor for several minutes without any possible hope of medical aid.
The other common denominator is immediate mortal blow area. blade as long enough to enter the heart.

Wow… this is like a badly done fan fiction of a matrix scene, with kill bill dialogue and Star Wars clothing.
No wonder Hollywood and Disney are tanking…
Its interesting how some people take one of the greatest weaknesses of previous Disney Star Wars, being that lightsabers werent that dangerous anymore, and then turn it against Acolyte rather than the previous stuff. Like yeah this show is far from perfect, but come on.

lol mae/osha literally just had 1 fascial expression. doest matter if shes mad, getting choked, shocked etc. just a straight up face lmao
That line about the Jedi not pulling a weapon unless prepared to kill is the worst part of the scene. It's worse than Carrie-Anne Moss dying, which is a big one. It makes as much sense for her to lower her guard from that line as it would if Mae just asked her to lower it.
Dude, she could've totally saw that coming with the force 🙄
I scroll through the comments and I feel some of the complaints seem...petty or are grievances with other shows.
Through all the purposefully negative buzz, i decided tobkeep an open mind and found myself with a nice bit of escapist entertainment set in the Star Wars universe.
The bonus is, i dont have to think about anything from the Skywalker saga. Kind of nice.
Most reasonable youtube comment
show definitely has a lot of issues and i fear they will get worse. hear very bad rumors of them retconning the universe of star wars.
@taddad2641 I don't think I can worry about that kind of thing anymore. I guess I will just have to see.
But it could have been worse, she could have been also lesbian, then she would have killed the Jedi Master just by looking at her.
So lightsabers to the chest or gut don’t kill anymore but throwing knives do. Got it.
Trinity got a Hans moleman from the simpsons football to the groin lol
Carrie-Anne, the only reason i cared for this show.
