@@freelands8355That’s my point, these witches are lying to the Republic about the twins because they believe that they are nothing but a bunch of stuck up snobs who think they have a right to police the Force. And yet they use their powers for their own selfish reasons.
It's touching to see Osha able to express herself openly, without any influence, but it's so sad when you realize that her "family" doesn't really support her.
In some of the old lore it talked about other factions of force users who didn't ally with sith or jedi and just did thier own thing. Plus Anakin himself was the result of a darkside user trying to manipulate the force.
It may not have the best plot or writting, but we have to admit Lee has done a great work portraying Master Sol. His whole body language makes the character express a lot of emotions even though he may sound a bit strange given he's still learning English. And not just him. Amandla's portrayal of the twin sisters Osha and Mae, Carrie as Master Indara, Dafne as Jecki, Charlie as Yord Fandar. The main cast's done a good work with their respective characters
So they hide the children lying to the republic and Jedi for their own weird selfish desires, threatened to cut off the tongue of a Jedi knight basically because they were caught lying, would also try to kill a teenager because they think they aren’t in the wrong and the Jedi are?
After seeing this episode, I have a theory. Mae indeed did set fire to the Coven, but you can't tell me that a group of Force-Sensitive witches could be taken out easily by a fire. The obvious direction would be that the Jedi killed them to get the girls but I don't think they'd go that route either. The girls were conceived through a mysterious process, a process known only to birth one other individual... Anakin Skywalker. And that process is known by only one other group of Force-Users: The Sith. Whoever this Sith Lord was, used the fire as a cover and slaughtered the witches, conveniently being there for Mae once Osha and the Jedi were off-world.
My theory is that their mother (the head witch) is the Sith Lord ! Why you may ask? Well they keep chanting the power of one , the power of two the power of many. It looks to me that the head witch is the main if not only witch who uses the force ... Yes the force not the string (🤮) and while during her lesson she seemed to (in my opinion) absorb and push back two force wielders During the ritual it seemed like all the witches were channeling their power to her! She is also the antagonist who possessed the Jedi and had repeatedly said Jedi are evil and it's about power. Now I think she was using the witches to increase her own power and the moment one of her daughters wanted to leave she was worried others would as well so she maybe killed all the witches by absorbing their power or controlling the Jedi to kill the other witches so she could fake her death and move back to the shadows. The chant is very similar to the rule of one a dith practice used by Darth krayt.
It was always about demoralization and destroying the earlier myths that Lucas in turn gleaned from Joseph Cambell. Weinstein's gofer is the showrunner, after all.
in fact, in episode 3 it is said that Plagueis also managed to create life through manipulation of the Force. Anakin was created by the force, the twins through it
So jedi showed up, they want to test two kids on their potential, and the witch basically tried to possess the padiwan? How are the jedi the bad guys again?
