yeah that's a great tip. Or even holding block for most opening shots is fine, then you get a feel for the speed and can react a little faster. Plus simply blocking avoids the sweep attacks meaning you won't get knocked down!
avoiding and parrying and knowing how to break the boss's structure and their patterns are key to this game. Its tempting to play offensively when you first start because the hand to hand is so fun and satisfying afetr playing since launch i can usually let to level 4 in my 20's i've had a couple of runs into 5 in my 20's and finished it at 30 once killing the bosses. Playing sparing the boss's i'm usually late 30's early 40's but i'll keep going i get a bit better each time still make small improvements
I started playing this like a week ago. I cant stop playing it. I love that its very challenging. That being said i ve done the first level.probably 50 times so I can permanently unlock all.the skillz
@@UnbrokenOdds all the more reasons to unlock it as soon as the club, since this is where low attacks are first deployed, and playing through the whole level gives you well enough XP to permanently unlock it. Honestly, I still don't get what's so special about charged backfist: it just doesn't work as advertised for me - but ground counter did save my character's bottom (or, at least, avenged it in a spectacular fashion) dozens of times.
Charged back fist is great for when an enemy is advancing on you, if you wait for them to come to you got can lead with the charged fist and most enemies it will instantly knock them off balance, then you can follow up with more damage or throw them etc. Basically stopping them from trying to combo you
To get thru the squats at 20 yo I recommend avoiding backwards in most enemies attacks (L1 + L3 down) most of their attacks can be avoided like this. Then whenever an enemy sweeps do L1 + L3 up (of course on PlayStation)
Here's one: Bring your enemies to a bridge or a high level overlooking the ground. If you parry an attack, you're guaranteed a throw, so you can throw them off and over the bridge or high level for an instant kill. Throwing is X+A on Windows controller.
I just got the game. While replaying the Squats, I took the shortcut. I noticed that it seemed to have less shrines, so I restarted and took the longer route. Could someone tell me if shortcuts have less shrines in general? It seems to apply to the squats, which is a little frustrating.
I can barely pass the first level. I start off good at the beginning and the middle then everything goes tits up on my way too the fat man. Their attacks do more damage and they gang up on you. That sweep is not as effective like some are saying. I was in my thirties when i completed that level. My performance was so unsatisfactory that i'm going back to the first level to finish in a much younger age. A lock on that you can turn on or off would've been very helpful to target the bigger threat.
once you get the hang of it for sure avoiding is the key to winning. If you're in a group of people it still isn't enough, but in one on one fights it's incredible. Only time I get messed up is when they do the low/sweep attacks that knock you down, I can never seem to remember to jump haha.
The avoidance timing is so much more forgiving, I typically start with a dodge and wait for an opportunity to time a parry.

Or divide and conquer. Run away to where you can attack them one at a time. Sometimes that goes tits up.
My tip would be if you need space, don’t be afraid to vault over an object to take a breather and assess the situation.
#4.. Taunt your opponents.. It give multipliers
Really? I never noticed it do anything when I taunted lol
For anyone just starting this game my main tip is practice dodging and blocking with L1. I learned it well and made past the warehouse at 26
Great tip! Avoiding will be your best friend this entire game Lol
I made it at 22
@@ShamamamaMain made it at 21 hah

@DoomsBFG Such a epic fighting gane have fun!!!!
It's been my experience that when you are avoiding you mostly just do pull back on L3 for almost all avoids and up to avoid low hits
yeah pushing back on the stick definitely is my go to, or side to side, jumping to avoid is still always so tough for me lol, just never see it coming
@@UnbrokenOdds that's what ground counter is for.
For sure! Once you get it unlocked!

Avoid is only up for low attacks and down for high attacks left and right are just down dodges it avoids high attacks
The thing that stops me from end the game as younger is the game lag but it's playable
Dude u are the only reviewer giving actual tips and what button to press! Thank you and subscribed!!!
Thanks so much! Glad that this is helping!

Haha yeah this is a great tactic like in the hanger of the first level. Lure them on the scaffold and just throw them over
Also avoid immediately followed with any attack gives you a free throw (or any free attack, like Palm Strike).
only if you suck at avoiding then of course but that's not needed if you know how to play the game
Nice to hear tips on how to play the game while the guy gets demolished by the training enemy xD
Daniel Son, best defense is no get hit.

Yes all the shortcuts have less shrines as well you get less points because there are less fights in general, but it can be helpful so you dont die.
This was helpful thank you
I have beaten the game with true ending and i wish i knew this before figuring it on my own. Great video, very useful info 👍
Thanks so much! That's the fun, now you can go back and try and do it without aging!
Well it's called playing it again and trying his tips
#6 blocking and parrying are 2 different thing.. Spend time in the practice room

Thanks so much!

Great tips and to the point, subbed

Avoiding is op they probably gonna nerf it.

GIT GUD
Lol
just restart and mash buttons until u accidentally got it right.
I feel like avoiding mechanic is like cheating you can literally spam direction button and never get hit in most cases
Yeah that's true but if you do it at the wrong time you take a lot of damage as well
there's nothing cheating about that, you need to watch some martial arts movie and learn about the true meaning of martial arts.
#5 learn patience
Sifu tip # l.. Try to stay alive
