Wow this was quite a detailed breakdown of the fights. I know the game is hard - I just passed Sean (simply by doing a lot of avoiding) but the Artist is just too hard! I was looking for videos to give me tips - this was the only one that breaks down the different enemy types and how to handle them. I really struggle with the Capoeira types. You did a fantastic job and this is your first video? My gosh, the editing was superb! I like how the cuts to the next sections are in line with how the game does it. Great job and thank you for sharing your tips and tricks!
Stay close + Constant blocking + get a few hits in after her strings + weapon intrinsic damage increase from shrines = Kuroki I take the bat with me and it makes phase one childs play... Most of the time 😅 her phase two is easy once you know her kit.
Always keep your distance, her first phase are actually annoying due to her delay attack making hard to parry and dodge. Watch for her move when she “dancing” with tri-blade staff, when you almost saw her last attack which is ground pound or something, immediately move toward Kuroki and using that last attack to dodge and get ready to smash that ass.
Believe it or not the artist is easy. Just takes longer the first round in the snow. By waiting for her to do her twirl routine twice then once it’s low hit her with a combo.
When she is chasing you, simply parry all the hits, does a ton of structure damage on her part. For the second phase only do damage with the knives she throws, or when she dashes towards you, dodge and punish
How tf is this a first video. Feels like you've been doing this for a least a year based off the quality alone. I'm subscribing just to see where this channel goes
Firstly I love the structure of the video great job. Second, another move I found pretty useful was the throw. You can trip, slam their head on the wall or hit them a bunch. Even better it works not only on every enemy but it is pretty common too. After you dodge an entire combo they are vulnerable. Hitting them once after and then immediately throwing them is how you do it. However the most effective is if you do a crotch punch instead of a normal hit. You can get a heavy stun on a boss. And on the boss if you crotch punch and get a heavy stun, you can press square(or x) but before the attack finishes you can throw again and trip them. Really effective.
The explanations of the enemy movesets are so elaborate and complete, can imagine the lots of efforts and consideration put into the works! I really appreciate it!
Nice to see a guide that utilizes parries. I followed the advice of some other videos to prioritize avoiding over parrying and I think the game actually got harder for me. It's part of your kit for a reason, glad to see someone recommend it.
Amazing video! i've been searching for a proper Sifu guide but all the tips i found are repeated or just useless, but this guide was very nice actually and had some really useful tips
Finally just beat the game at 20 on normal difficulty. I wish I wouldve found this guide a year ago 😂. Probably could’ve done it 6 months earlier!! Great video.
Man I’m still on the 2 stage on my like 40th try. I gave it a break when I got Shaun to like just a couple more hits from beating him and he pulled out that sweep he does with his weapon and killed me😂, I almost threw my PlayStation out the window
I usually take a knife to punish her last hit 26:06 with the crotch punch. Also her glowing attack 26:45 can be punished going forward twice + triangle/Y
Great content, man! Super cool editing, and great break-downs. Dont't worry about your voice - I think most of us find it weird to hear ourselves. Best of luck to you!
Wow bro! Nice first video. How did I find your video you asked. Well, I just got into Sifu and went online for some tips and tricks. Then I saw your title and noticed it wasn’t a 3-5 minutes video, which is what I don’t want. Sifu is not a game you can give proper tips on in 5 minutes. So when I saw your length, I thought, “well, this should be good. As long as you aren’t a foreigner who’s pronunciations I can’t understand!” Lol Sure enough, you spoke clearly, video was well structured and produced with great quality and detail, a winner for sure. Wish it had more views for ya. I’ll sub bro; great job. 👍🏽
How do you only have 78 subscribers? If underrated was a person, it would be you. And no, I am not just praising you mindlessly. From the video quality to the level of instructions, you are one top notch guide.
Fantastic, very helpful video!! I just picked the game up and this is so well done!! I’m honestly sad you didn’t keep making content, you’re good at it!
yknow, all these enemies you've given names to actually have official names in the training dummy. ”thugs” are gangsters, ”heavies” are juggernauts, ”capoeiras” are flashkicks, ”elite thugs” are empowered gangsters (technically the ”advanced” variation of gangsters), ”brutes” are bodyguards. You got disciple right tho :)
Nice video. Useful tips in here. If you are holding a pole, Sean will always try to poke you or shoulder check you to disarm you. I like to just hold the Guard button to prevent this while I'm waiting for him to start one of his combo strings.
Well done dude awesome video and thank you for the tips they really helped a lot. Listening to the attack patterns was awesome help and practice makes perfect in this game. I aint good at parrying at all I can't seem to get it down I dodge duck and weave well but I'm gonna have to master it at some point it seems if I want the wude ending.. That's If I can even get that far lol anyway.. Can you make more videos dude because this was awesome and I'd love to see what else you could put out in future!
tips for capoeira/flashkicks: - you can dodge/avoid the first to kicks and punish them after. tips for sean's disciples/fire disciples: - most of their attacks are AWFULLY slow; making it easy to dodge and counter. including the kicks.
Useful guide. It must be noted that the game doesn't really ramp up in difficulty until you get to the Museum, and one may argue near the end of the Club. The museum is where you really need to understand the parry and dodge timing of enemies. I only died 4 times until I got to the Musem on my first go. In the Museum, I died like 6 times alone.
I found out in training, a good way to deal with the Bodyguards, Brutes is to block the first heavy punches and use the focus meter to eye gouge. And then follow up with 4 heavy attacks, and hold O to knock them when they're on the ground.
Charged backfist is amazing for dealing with heavies. One on one it pretty much stops them from doing anything, as it's unblockable once the enemy starts the attack animation and none of their moves are fast enough to interrupt it.
Love this video and ik it’s old but some advice for newer player is deflect doesn’t have to be your go to if you dodge and strike you stun and can throw to walls
Had this game for a week. Yep it's frustrating but enjoyable. I'm very slowly getting better. I watch this video then I want to play it again. Then I'll die quite a few times. Then I'll stop playing. HR later put it on again after watching this vid. Again.👍
For anyone who struggles with the stronger or boosted thugs, a simple combo that any beginner can learn is Flowing Claw (X>Y / Square>Triangle) into Heavy attack (Y / Triangle). This is in my opinion the fastest and safes way to perform an overhead kick which will result in a take down. Whats so good about this? Its so fast you can spam it the moment you pull an enemy back up after beating them on the ground, and since thugs are basic enemies they will almost always be taken down by these kicks, allowing you to chain the poor guys into takedown, after takedown, after takedown, and beating them with no effort.
One big analysis difference I will give to Fajar: He's one of the easiest bosses, next to Sean, only when you're not playing in Master difficulty. In Disciple or below, his attack string stays to only the fast 2 push kicks before the structure-breaking roundhouse with the low sweep being an individual attack that he rarely throws out. However, he mixes the low sweep with a gangster high kick and the roundhouse kick on Master difficulty, which basically means you're guessing a 50/50 if you dodges his kick if not a 33/33/33% when you try to parry him. Be very sure to crowd control him by either stuns him a whole bunch with charged backfist, crotch punch and directional throw, or don't let him get up often with sweeps or charging trip kick. Fajar quite frankly took all of the glow up from Kuroki and Sean when he transitioned from Disciple to Master...utterly fearful boss to fight
3:04 I prefer eye strike here because I can basically just do eye strike and then a guaranteed normal sweep attacking It doesn't do much extra damage, but still
Two very crucial points you didn't mention about Yang is that all Focus Attacks are disabled and any attempt to use directional throw will be countered 100% of the time.
If you are on master difficulty and you are fighting against the botanist, just run far away in the first phase and bait out the flying kick, in the second phase wait untill he does a big slash and its blue then throw your weapon at him
I am a bit too late but one interesting thing I saw: in large groups it is sometimes better to avoid horizontal bat sweeps then parry it because if you avoid them, they will probably hit other enemy and knock him down in one hit.
Just to add, Yang also has a counter to a throw, does no damage but lots of knockback. Discovered this move while fighting him in Arenas, but do actually make sure he's weakened before using a throw. Edit: Yang's 1st phase is also easily cheesed with Crooked Foot, although it's harder on the 2nd phase since he gets Crooked Foot.
for fajars (the botanist) jumping spiral sword hit I've found charged backfist is basically a full nuh uh to him and you can hit him after that (charged backfist is just great against any enemy in general as long as you can react/throw it out in the beginning of their animation)
6:33 them sweeps from most enemies overall always catch me off guard (except for those girls who do those windmill breakdance kicks because i have experience with them thanks to the club)
As a major souls fan, I’ve recently gotten into sifu (pc game pass) Bruh the combos, dodge and parries are so smoooooth. I’m still getting my ass kicked, but I beat pre-patch Radahn I got this.
Just started playing this game. I'm stuck in the loop of trying to finish levels flawlessly. 😂 I resisted yesterday and beat level 1 at 24. Getting my ass handed in level 2 though, got to the end at age 77 and had to restart lol
As someone with over 100 hours in this game I only have have one main thing which is to use back fist on the basic and advanced versions of the juggernaut it with stun them if you hit them before you DONT use it on the mini boss variant due to them having super armor Edit: if you can you should try backfist with Sean and and crotch punch for the flash kick lady when they do the hammer of double kick combo to do massive stun
11:42 I found an even easier technique for taking down Flashkick/Capoera. When she runs towards you Cock Punch/Crotch Punch and then heavy attack until she starts blocking. Immediately Cock Punch again and heavy attack. She goes down FAST! I am working on The Museum Stage so please take this with a grain of salt and not a means of ego. Just information to take this lady down as quickly/easy as possible. I omitted using said attack and was shocked by how much structure damage she does. Hope this helps!
Actually flashkick are my favorite enemy, I usually mess around with Sifu Randomize mod, make every single enemy in the hideout are 100% replaced by Flashkick expect boss. I just got sifu so im a bit late to the party but im adapting pretty quickly, botanist got a lot easier once I learned how to avoid his kicks. Sean on the other hand.....well😅
Bro came. Bro gave us one of the best videos on Sifu. Bro left.

Like a mysterious martial text from some unknown master.
He only ever wrote one, but his techniques are unmatched.

Also best Sifu video ever.
U should not. Parrying is the most consitent way to defend in sifu. Get good with parrying and avoid special attacks and ur good

5 mins in and this is already the best Sifu guide I've seen! Subbed! 🔥

Nice to see a guide that utilizes parries. I followed the advice of some other videos to prioritize avoiding over parrying and I think the game actually got harder for me. It's part of your kit for a reason, glad to see someone recommend it.

only video which talks about the actual Enemy attack breakdown. Subbed!
"For this character you can do (insert what to do)

Guide is great - but the editing is on point!! I love it!

@bananasunday3369 You defeat the botanist and think, "I'm getting good at the game." Then you meet Sean...
excellent breakdown, i’ve found sean’s attack easy to dodge, the start up is rather slow
You can also avoid the elite thugs by not doing the takedown if they are with another enemys
Throwing enemies around and using the crooked foot is hella powerful for all enemies
You can be hit during crooked foot, which makes it unreliable against groups of enemies, even though it's really good for one on one
Damn I never got rushed in this game like how they did you in the beginning lol
