Beardbrand Alliance hello sir, I don’t think you did a video about it, but do you have tips for Different hair type? For exemple, I have big issue with mine which is a 1C if I m correct. I try to find tips in forums and TH-cam, but some how I feel like the exemples given are So wrong cause they don’t seem to have my kind of hair... aka the hair that is hard to tame, easily takes volume when it dries, almost impossible to curve ... aka a complicated hair 😅 barbers actually fear me when they see me come.

I support beard brand and I’d hate to be a party pooper, but that comment strikes me as a bit heretical. One thing that’s a bother is people ( usually in church fundamental type circles ) who try to say that having long hair and a long beard as a man is you trying to look like Jesus, as if it’s something your not allowed to do. I think that long hair is better so i don’t conform to peer pressure

As a woman, I find it cute to hear guys talking about their hair care. You both have beautiful hair and beards, handsome faces too. But it’s also important for guys to know how to look well groomed with longer hair, not to look unkempt and scraggly. I like the combo of facial hair, or scruff, and a man bun.

As a guy who struggled with acne in my 20s i decided to dive deep into dermatology. From my experience being a guy who walks into a pharmacy, mostly women who work there where i live, they approach me with this idea that because i'm a guy they automatically think i need to be hand held, the look on their faces when i reveal my knowledge as i chew through ingredients and products, i don't exactly have the persona or bearing of someone who would be in the know, i may wander in their in my work clothes, i'm a mechanic, it's comic when you see how conflicted the staff becomes when you start talking.

After over 2 years of shaving my head I have decided to grow my hair out. I'm only 2 weeks in, and I noticed I've gone from dark brown/black to salt and pepper. At first I was a bit shocked and thought I'd shave it all off again, but left it. Now, I'm sort of liking it. I really like the half up/half down pony tail look and may give it a shot.

At a year and a half in, I'm at shoulder length. Dutch thick straight blond hair. I've found that after I wash/condition my hair, I'll tie it up in a kind of pony tail on the very top of my head while it's still damp. Then ill go to bed and wake 8 hrs later and let it down first thing. SO much volume! I like to have a laugh at myself occasionally and will part my hair down the middle with this fresh clean volume and tie up pigtails for the day. Lol. I live in western PA amish country. The looks I get from them. Talk about statement. Lol. Home Depot runs are fun also. No shortage of looks. Lol. Rare fun. 95% of the time I keep it in a very low neckline bun with a ball cap on backwards during the summer for work, and a beanie in the winter. I'm a steel foundry worker btw.👍

I've usually always had it down for all those years, but now I'm legally an adult I try styles more now I've decided on a consistent length. My favorite one was the half up / half down ponytail because one I think it looks great and also I'm a huge fan of anything fantasy, specifically the Witcher which I've been a fan of for a good 5 years not just the new Netflix show; also the games and books.

Good luck with beard. If it's patchy don't shave it when after long time it's still have holes, but you will start to notice shorter hair filling them. I have tried to grow beard since i was 12, but as you may know at this age it's damn hard. So i sported goaty for years and it got to full beard around 21. I hope it will add to your motivation. My former male boss would give me some grief as I got close to getting a cut. But then work-at-home started in March. I almost went and got it cut right before the stores and malls locked down. Luckily I didn't. Now I have almost 8 months since I cut it. I had a trim last week to get rid of the raggedies at the very bottom. I'm 64, I've had long hair most of my life. I started shaving my head in my thirties, and wore it styled during my forties. But now, I've grown it long again. Been growing it for about 4 years now, so it's pretty long. I always wear it in a ponytail, it's too long for a bun, I feel. I also have a goatee. It was very long, but I've cut it shorter now. I can't bring myself to cutting my hair, even though I think it would be so much simpler to look after.
Funny, you mentioned girls using that excuse of having to wash their hair. While I was single in my early 40s I had a girl calling me for a date, and I told her I had to wash my hair. LOL. Her girlfriends thought I was so badass for saying it. It was all I could think of at the time.

So glad I found this one, as I'm in the process of growing my hair out. About 3 weeks ago, I went to the Barber and had my hair "layered" because my wife said that's what I should do, the sides and back were driving her crazy compared to the top:) Currently, I'd say I have a solid 4 to 5 inches head of hair. Good to know I should'nt go monthly for layers or anything, guess I'll take another look at it 4 to 6 months down the road.

These tips are useful when you have long straight hair. I have long wavy/curly hair over-shoulder length; wearing that loose is not a good look (with or without a beard).
I always wear it in a knot/bun. Put some La-Em-Strait in it to tame the curls and fizziness.

Best, natural, product for your hair are the oils your head makes. Brush everyday to spread out the oils helps keep it sleek and shiny, it also really helps with hair growth as well. Don't shampoo too often, you can wash you hair with just water and it'll still come out smelling good, just make sure you scrub your scalp and run your fingers down your hair in the shower to get the best results.

65yo. Covid rules stopped me from going to my barber. After 3 months of growth, I wanted to let it continue - as in the '70s. Growing out happened in cold months where I could hide it. 2 years on, I have had good growth. Laughter is when with 2 sons of my 4 kids who shave bald due to receding hair. One son hasn't. My Grandchildren laugh, which I like. Life is a laugh.

Can you open a topic about how to proper wash and condition your long hair ,avoiding the mistakes that lead to frizzy hair with a towel for ex.

    • @chatnoir9038
      @chatnoir9038 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Wet your hair, take a quarter size glob of shampoo, rub it on your scalp with your fingertips. You don't really have to wash-wash the lengths of your hair, you just want to strip the excess oil on your scalp and roots. The lengths and tips of the hair will get washed enough when you rinse the shampoo out.
Rinse your hair out with warm water, then squeeze excess water out with your hands. Then take your towel and wrap it around your hair and gently squeeze/crunch your hair. Don't rub the towel on your head, this will cause hair breakage.
Some people use conditioner that you wash away but most of them don't do a lot in my opinion. Conditioning really depends on your hair type, whether it's curly or straight, thick or thin, etc. Conditioning the ends of hair will make them detangle easier and defrizz them, but if you put too much, it might just make your hair limp. Some people just prefer to take a very small amount of hair oil, rub it on their fingers and just go through the lengths and tips of the hair with that.
You can research videos for your specific hair type and texture and experiment a bit with different stuff. Good luck!

Sometimes I make a ponytail and, since I have it really long I like to add hair ties in separated spaces to have this Dothraki/Khal Drogo (GoT) look. In this way I don’t have the rest of the hair moving around everywhere.
Another one that it’s inspired in Ragnar, Bjørn and Ubbe (Vikings) are all these braids tied together. So I don’t want to start the braid from the scalp, and what I do is, do a ponytail, then separate the hair into sections and start braiding those sections. Usually I do three. And then, similar to the previous style, I get the braids together, add the hair ties and that’s it. I consider this a more presentable version of the “Dothraki” look.

Hey, I'm your age and still working with the law enforcement field. My hair was always short since I graduated from college and I started letting it go at the beginning of the pandemic. I get a lot of compliments on it because there's not a lot of dudes our age with full heads of hair that can grow it long. Unfortunately at work I'm forced to put it in a man bun and hide it under a PD baseball cap as they are not comfortable at all with its length to put it mildy. I hope you've continued to grow yours and I refuse to give up mine. I'm divorced so I live alone but I do have a neighbor who's willing to braid it for me the only problem is is that I cannot be going to her every couple of days asking her to do it!

Started growing my hair in July 2020 (from really short hair and almost bald sides) and now we have November 2021. Can make a small manbun but I have to put quite a lot of hair paste to keep it tight and not fall apart because of relatively short sides that can barely be under a hairband. I'll try to make a half-bun/ponytail, half-down and see if it's any better

The most valuable thing I learned about long wavy hair is to not brush it. Use a wide toothed comb or you end up looking as though you’ve been dragged through a hedge. Shea moisture is an also excellent brand for long hair
