Thanks for these videos. Every winter the city adds something in our water that precipitates out on cold surfaces as yellow crystals. We have 13 ice machines of various makes.. only two of them prodigys but they are in two of the highest volume hardest to access locations.
Thank you this was exactly what I was looking for i have nickel coating flaking off my coil and getting stuck to the ice is this common with these or the result of in proper maintenance And should i have just the coil replaced or would it be better to replace the hole head the unit is only 8 years old thanks for your help
I’m sure you’ve resolved your issues with the Scotsman ice machine. To address your questions, the nickel flaking is a result of using chlorine (bleach) to sanitize the machine . Always use a nickel safe cleaner. The average life of a commercial-industrial ice machine is 7 to 10 years. If you haven’t already, I would replace the ice machine as the cost to replace the evaporator is approximately two thirds the cost of a new machine.
hello sir,,i am a new technician...i have problem encounter with this scotsman, same model that your video is showing,,would you mind if i ask something, i really appreciate if you could give me some idea,,,the problem is when the machine is in the harvest cycle it takes to long,,and the machine stops, it shows 5 and 8 and the machine stop,,sometimes bin is full but dont have any ice,,can you englighten me what is the problem sir ,,,thank you so much
