Ice-O-Matic ice machine troubleshooting - red light flashing and not getting any water

- This Ice-O-Matic ice machine was not making any ice. The red light was flashing 3 times. This means the ice machine experienced either a long freeze error or a long harvest error. I reset the machine by pressing both the clean button and the power button in for 6 seconds. After troubleshooting this iceomatic ice machine I found the float housing to be malfunctioning. I replaced the float housing and the wired harness it connects to. This fixed the problem. This iceomatic ice machine is now making ice.

The float housing has two water floats and a temperature sensor. The floats control the amount of water that flows into the water tray and when the machine cycles into harvest.

Good video ! Have not seen one of these yet. any good ? What ice machine would you recommend for a 22" wide ice dispenser. 15 year old iceomatic at end of its life. evap grid all loose. 3 min harvest. won't release. time to replace machine. ice 0520HA3 there right now.
Not the biggest fan of them. I’d recommend a Manitowoc.
@@IceMachine411 thanks. you got a model u would recommend ? Manitowoc 22" wide to go on top of a dispenser ? Half cube. self contained. air cooled. 400-500 lb / day. 115 volt.

I know this isn’t the answer you want and I apologize in advance. I’m pretty inexperienced in matching dispensers and ice machines. I recently dealt with a mismatch between a Scotsman nugget machine and Pepsi dispenser. I would hate to lead you down the wrong path. The dispenser manufacturers can tell you which ice machines are best for each dispenser.
Although I believe you’re on the right track. I don’t see why a 22 inch ice machine won’t match a 22 inch wide dispenser. There may be a bin adaptor that’s required in order for the ice machine to sit properly. There may also be a requirement for some sort of bin level control to keep the ice level lower than it would normally be. Additionally, I might be wrong, best to contact the manufacturer. 😉

My unit freezes but won’t go into harvest Could a bad prob be the reason why it won’t go into harvest , low float light never comes on
Sounds like you’ve figured it out. The low water float is what sends the machine into harvest.
bro can you help me about ice o matic. the unit is very fast to getting hot gas and the evaporator not making ice what possible cause the problem

I'll try to remove one harness of floating switch they built the ice but not harvesting
