The L Code is a feature so the customer or technician can lock out the buttons. This can come in very handy if you want to prevent the machine from being accidentally turned off. The instructions for locking and unlocking the controller can be found on page 31 of the service manual. All technical information is available at www.scotsman-ice.com/service/. Lock / Unlock control: To lock ON• Hold ON button in for 5 seconds, keep holding then press and release Off twice. To lock OFF• Hold ON button and then press OFF button once within 3 seconds, wait 5 seconds then press Off twice and then release On. To unlock• Hold ON button in for 5 seconds, keep holding then press and release Off twice. MJT
Getting a B code. But it's not making ice, but there shouldn't be anything wrong with this unit. It was removed from another location, but when we plug it in, the compressors don't come on and we get the B error code. I did a clean this morning. What can I try? Thank you!
Hi can you help me. My Scotsman prodigy keeps giving me a no:7 error "Discharge tempretute sensor failure" error. The machine is making ice but that error is bothering me. Dont know why no 7 light is red
Error code #2 is Maximum Harvest Time. Normal time is between one and two minutes Long harvest cycle possibly caused by: Poor or No ice formation (Most Common due to a dirty unit) Harvest assist solenoid not functioning correctly Not extending or retracting Hot gas valve not opening Curtain switch not sensing when curtain opens Low refrigerant charge I would start by checking your ice bridge. The bridge thickness should be about 1/8" and the unit should harvest a full slab of ice.

Error code 7 is indicating that your discharge thermistor is faulty. The thermistor set should be replaced.
