That evaporator plate needs to be replaced, but it’s so expensive including labor that they might want to replace the entire unit. That is not repairable and is a major problem.
WOW for starters that evap is dirty and causes the ice not to drop. Never pry off off by hand, always melt it and allow it to fall off easy if not you can damage a good evap.
I have tapped them back in and used a small chisel and ping them over. each one, so they will stay in. Not perfect, but will get more time out of the machine.
@@ReubenSahlstrom I've made the same repair before. You can actually see little Xs near the edges of the evap where the manufacturer peens the pieces together to keep them in place. I repeened the loose ones in with a screwdriver... not the best tool but did the job. It worked well for some time. I enjoy the videos and have learned a thing or two. Thanks.

I took a rubber mallot and pushed everything back into place. This allowed the machine to operate again for a short time. You could try that?
