Naw great runs but a tuned F8 with downpipes dynos at 705 RWHP... A stock 765LT dynos at 765 RWHP... McLaren still probably a touch lighter as a spider because of the Carbon tub... Runs are exactly as expected, but totally awesome to finally see them go at it! Nice to see that a tuned F8 runs 9s!
I'll never understand how other manfc can't figure out how to put their power down like McLaren can. Ex: if both cars had equal everything (power, torque, weight, gearing, etc), McLaren for the win every time. I'm not even a huge fan of McLaren, but they have my respect!

I assume the F8 has only an additional of 50hp as opposed to 150hp claimed from the tune. Still it's much beefier than the stock F8 in terms of performance. Nice race!
No this is about right for 150 more. 765lt is about 200lbs or so lighter It's also been dynod at 780hp to the wheel, so closer to 880-900 hp at the crank. So if the tribuno was about 850 crank, and 765lt has a bit more power, and a tad lighter. We'd probably get the results here

Both beautiful cars. But McLaren is definitely the more consistent race car, for the streets. Especially, because it only needs the R888R's, to get the job done. Whereas the Ferrari & all others, need a tune & exhaust modifications, to keep up. But both are great cars.

Same exact power as the 765LT coupe. Which Brooks brought his 765LT coupe to the dyno. & it made 808hp to the wheels. So that's approx: 865hp at the crank. Which now, makes perfect sense. Since McChickens are British cars, & always measure specs in terms of metric-hp. Which is about 100hp, less than our American-hp. & why McChicken, gets away with calling it a 765LT. But to be authentic, it should be called a 865LT!lol & I do love, McChickens. Both to eat, & drive! Actually, truth be told, Ferrari & McLaren are both putting out, phenomenal cars, of late. can we just accept that apples to apples (price and class wise) a mclaren will beat pretty much anything that isnt modified past stage 2. Also remember that mclarens arent made for drag racing, if u do a more realistic roll race the other cars would have gotten dropped a lot worse. I think that ferrari is making every bit of 850 hp its just that that mclaren is still a more efficient package!

these 1900-2000hp ev hypercars have been built a year ago, but I've not seen the battista(Nevera guts), lotus evija or aspark owl tested, raced or in anybody's hands yet. It's like the Nevera-built but not delivered. Why?

Ferraris are fast beautiful cars. Mclarens are faster better handling "tool" cars, nothing is compromised for looks they are more focused on speed and handling. Thats why they aren't as pretty, they are at the top of the pile of performance drivers cars.

Brooks, if you remember your F8 ran a 10 flat if memory serves me, and a few times it beat your 720S. so i'm thinking that this F8 doesn't have 850HP. Your best time in the 720S was a 9.7, if he had 850HP, how is it running a 9.8, when your F8 ran a 10 flat ? maybe your just that great of a driver..thanks for this, loved it.
The main reason why the 765LT is so much quicker, in stock form, over the 720s(& many other manufacturers with similar hp) is due to the 765LT's significantly short gear ratios. Gearing is always a major factor in shorter races, such as the 1/4mi. Where acceleration is so important. Even a car with a little more hp, can easily lose to a car that has, shorter gearing setup for acceleration. As opposed to a car that has gearing setup for cruising speeds, top speed, or better fuel economy. It's always easy to forget about, factoring gear ratios, into the equation of quicker 1/4mi times. But it's one of the most important performance enhancement details, during a 1/4mi race. And thank God, McLaren gets it. And they not only added more hp & tq, to the 765LT. But they shortened up the gearing as well. Whereas most performance car companies only add more hp & tq, & reduce weight, to their upper level variants.

It actually is a little heavy, about 3450lbs real world versus 3100 for the LTS.

Ceramic coating is easily the best investment ever - I went with the cheap seats Cquartz UK - but it seems to hold up well for us simple folk!
Ferrari isn’t what it used to be these days it’s rarely at the top of its class. The macs have been beating them badly for quite awhile now.

I doubt it gets in the 9's. The ZR1 will most definitely give these cars a real run...whenever that comes out.

Brooks, if you remember your F8 ran a 10 flat if memory serves me, and a few times it beat your 720S. so i'm thinking that this F8 doesn't have 850HP. Your best time in the 720S was a 9.7, if he had 850HP, how is it running a 9.8, when your F8 ran a 10 flat ? maybe your just that great of a driver..thanks for this, loved it.
The main reason why the 765LT is so much quicker, in stock form, over the 720s(& many other manufacturers with similar hp) is due to the 765LT's significantly short gear ratios. Gearing is always a major factor in shorter races, such as the 1/4mi. Where acceleration is so important. Even a car with a little more hp, can easily lose to a car that has, shorter gearing setup for acceleration. As opposed to a car that has gearing setup for cruising speeds, top speed, or better fuel economy. It's always easy to forget about, factoring gear ratios, into the equation of quicker 1/4mi times. But it's one of the most important performance enhancement details, during a 1/4mi race. And thank God, McLaren gets it. And they not only added more hp & tq, to the 765LT. But they shortened up the gearing as well. Whereas most performance car companies only add more hp & tq, & reduce weight, to their upper level variants.
McLaren put much better the power down due to the better/ stickier tyres.. R Compound vs (probably) some Cup 2 on F8.. ✌
