Stock Z06 is already did 1.44 with tires 🔥.. 9.9/136 mph stock on tires .. look at it in TH-cam
@@4literv6 True, but even on unprepped surfaces I've seen it do really well and slightly better then a lot of other mid engine sports cars. I expect that out of a porsche or mclaren not a gm is my point.
@@saeed5853 not stock so no a bone stock z06 didn't run 9.9s. A stock plaid model x will spank the z06. Nm the model s plaid.
@@saeed5853 - isn't that a modified car? If so it should be discounted from this discussion because any of the brands can go much faster with mods so the timings are pretty pointless.
Chevy did an out of the world job with c8 launch control
Both sound unbelievablely amazing
But wow the z06 is such a bargain.. especially if anyone ends up getting them at or under msrp eventually
No way the z06 will ever be under msrp unless it’s a salvage title lol
$105,300 MSRP
Man that Z just gets it done over and over again, that aftermarket exhaust makes an amazing sound and turns it up 11, insane sound. The 812 SF is a sweet ride too, can’t launch like a mid/rear engine car but it’s got some legs up top, roll race or half mile it’s probably got it on the Z, both incredible cars.
That Z06 is a serious fn performer. 😮
The Z06 is very impressive for that price. Congratz to Chevrolet for such a great archievment!
GT500 does 10.5 for fraction of the price ya congrats shitvrolet
What is the price of a z06? 160k and up
$105,300 MSRP
@RJ Landicho when you find a z06 at that price call me lmao
Probably want find one under 180k
@@CoyoteFTW that boat isn’t in the same league as the Z I fear
Like a 911Turbo S, having a ton of weight over the rear axel means HARD LAUNCHES. What I liked about this race was each car was wearing street tires not drag radials or R compound super sticky tires. That’s why the C7 ZR1 was not a drag car, it could never put the power down, like the 812 not enough traction
The launch on the Z06 is crazy good
Better Ferrari marketing would be the 812 Superexpensive!
That Z06 is GREAT looking!
The Z06 is just bad ass! I would love sell my Grand Sport for one but I couldn’t afford one.
I think that’s why some people don’t t mind paying over sticker. Performance for the dollar is insane.
I love the bark on the Z06, but wail of 812 is nuts too!
Great race!! That Z06 is a beast off the line!
That Z06 is so freaking awesome visually and then when you add that kind of performance? All you can say is BRAVO GM!!!!!
I'd take the superior vette and use the 350K price difference to buy a nice cabin on the lake. And maybe another vette. 🤣
The zo6 is an animal. You guys are really hard on it with the down shifts for no reason though.
Z06 is a beast 💪 sounds and looks amazing for 150k
These are not DRAG Racing Cars. Its the Road Racing Track that really TEST Cars like this. Try taking them to ROAD America in Wisconsin on their track days and see which car is not only the fastest. But HANDLES the Best.
The Z06, hands down. That's the nature of mid-engine vehicles, fantastic handling. The 812 has a big fat heavy V12 stuck right up front.
Z06 is beautiful!
Good example of diminishing returns on money spent, more is not always better, sometime just more expensive for less where it matters.
The Z06 is something else , great sound
This ZO6 is awesome, but damn this Ferrari is gorgeous.
As a result of more than just weight distribution and power (traction control algorithms)
No matter when or where…
C8’s grip n go
And it’s much better that this time we got a coupe not a convertible so it’s lighter. The sport cats and lighter exhaust helped a bit too
😲😳 OMMFG 😲😳 Super Wicked Video My Dude 🎉🎊!!! 😵
#MYDREAMWHIPEVERYDAY DRIVING🚗 CAR!!!
The Z06 looks very good in silver👌🏼, Now I'm not a ferrari fan or hater but the 812 drivers starts weren't good at all and mid way the 812 is reeling that Z06 in, so from a roll I'd guess the 812 would leave the Z06 but out of the two I'd take the Z06 because you have 7/10th of the performance for a fraction of the costs and it will be reliable because every one I've ever met with a ferrari, have great stories of unreliability and for that money, it should have Toyota reliability.
I'm still not sure if the slow start from the line was the fault of the Ferrari driver or DCT. After all the Ferrari mechanicals are a few years old.
Wow, impressive performance by the American!
The Z06 sounds soooo good!!!!
Great video
Best looking z06 I've seen 🤤
Can't wait to see what the ZR1 will do.
Man that Zo6 mean real business 🎉
Holy crap that z06 is hot
That's incredible, the z06 has always been fast but this new mid engine vett - wow!! Thanks
Great Passes for the z06, don’t know what was wrong with the 812, it does like 10.5 on the street, here it sounds like the Revs were really low for along time before it gets going
Probably sandbagging to hype up the z06
@@cflgt500 Z06 stock did 10.26 at 134mph th-cam.com/video/ceyokRqgzHw/w-d-xo.html
@@cflgt500which is typical thing
Lack of traction at the beginning so the launch controll / traction controll is limiting power?
It’s very hard to put the power down on a 812 from a dig, plus it was on the aftermarket bigger wheels
If that gt3 at the end was manual that was some good shifting
The sounds that Z06 makes.... No words.
That SILVER IS GORGEOUS!!!!! And the DOWNSHIFTS ARE CRAZY!!! DAMN BROOKS YOU GOT THAT LAUNCH DIALED !!!!!!Whats that car rev to 8500? I notice you downshift at HIGH RPM!! STEEL BRAKES?
Carbon ceramic rotors, 8700rpm.
"Merica" baby, love that Zo6.
Z06 sounds amazing
Easy, when you going to race the F8? You know the modern version of the retired car that they bench marked??
812 runs 315s 4S in the rear.Z06 runs 345s Cup2s. Put a real tire on the Ferrari, and it’s going to be a lot more even. My gut feeling is, on the right tire 812 is going to run 10.5 at 134.
the stock Z06 with the Cup 2 R's tires and carbon wheels did 10.26 at 134mph, so it's not hard to imagine that the 812 with better tires would do between 10.1 - 10.2 at 136mph. the biggest difficulty of the 812 is putting the power to the ground
The Ferrari can’t take a 345 it’s fenders aren’t wide enough 🤷🏾♂️
Thats z06 not z07 package.. it only have ps4.. not cup2r..
@@tharinduperera8758 that’s really weird. I was under the impression that all Z06 Z07 cars have CUP2s. Mine better have CUP2s when it is delivered in 2024.
@@timmietz z07 package have cu2r tires.. but in this drag race.. it's only the base Z06 with PS4..
That vette is soooooo bad ass..the color and wheel combo is soooooooo freakin sick🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and looks really really good..i can see some crazy mods coming for that and it'll slay everything
bright wheels > *
That’s gearing. The Z just holeshots the launch, the F is longer geared and the extra 4 cylinders just reels at the top. Z is quick, a 1.5 60 ft stock is amazing.
1.5 is certainly amazing for a RWD vehicle on street tyres …
