@@thegoodgeneral1174dude this is so based. I had the same feeling. One of my best gaming experiences ever fighting this demon. Someone said to me he’s more like something out of DOOM than ER - one of the coolest dragons I’ve ever seen - I would say it’s like the Balrog of Morgoth as well - awesome design
This is way too cool to be under 500 views. 옹발이 ONGBAL's video is an impressive display of the mechanics especially with the crucible ash of war for the nuke dodge, but this was much closer to what I was looking for. Just a simple fight where the focus is on you and the boss. About how much damage were you doing per hit/per crit?
900-ish damage to the head per CR2. 700-ish damage to the leg per CR2. I think it was like 5k damage on the riposte with the CR2s before it. I had like 5 scadutree levels as well so the damage without them would be a lot worse.
First of all - astronomical feat to do that on RL1 with normal weapon. Im trying to master his moveset for like 10hours+ and still falling for traps like this delayed headbutt, three atack combo with delay, or being out of position with little spacing and get hit by invicible wing frame, or to roll bad in phase 2 into flame on ground and die. This boss is so hard, to learn so many dodge patterns, diffrent timings, movesets, just wow. Man hats off, you'r really amazing player. What are your thoughts about this boss and DLC overall? Isn't it to hard for people who dosen't want to cheese, use op builds, bruteforce or use summons? I dont really think casual players can learn all this movesets and have reflex to react for all this weird telegraphed combos. Big like from me! Want to see more videos like this :D
Thanks for stopping by :). Overall: I love this boss, even if it has some minor hiccups. Mainly the fire bounces because it’s fire in Elden Ring and because the camera on the headbut is wonky and can prevent you to seeing a certain attack (which is why I now play that attack string locked off). Other than that though, amazing. As for the rest of the DLC? I like it, mostly. There are some bosses that I think are good but I just have no interest in getting better at, namely Gaius and the Lion. Overall, I’d give the DLC about an 8/10 but the final boss really drags it down. Oh, and if you think this is impressive, you’re going to love what I’m trying to do right now: Bayle on RL1, NG+7, No Blessings and No HUD. I got close yesterday with a 7 minute 47 second fight (he was literally at 2% health left) so I should get it either today or tomorrow.
Quite late, but those followups are position based. The single bite followups happen when you are in front of him. So if you are behind the front of his face, more towards his chin, he wont do the followups. He can also not do it if you are to the side of his face as well you just have to not cross the front of his face, though it might be harder to try and do it like this at first. The same goes for the lightning slam, except he does have a followup for when you are behind him, the “run away and do fire breath” attack
@@aeb4865oh damn, thanks for the explanation. I really appreciate it and I’ll try and do my own testing eventually with it as I plan to eventually do Bayle with +0 weapons.
RL1 (Wretch) with Godrick’s Great Rune, Red Feathered Branchsword, Blue Dancer Charm, Radagon’s Sorseal and Starscourge Heirloom. The weapons are the Misericorde for ripostes and the Cleanrot Knight’s Sword for attacking normally.
Crazy bastard
I know I am.
Incredible fight! I think this is the best boss in the DLC, and THE best dragon boss in any FS titles. Your skill is immense.
died in 2017 reborn in 2024, welcome back peak dragon!
Loved this boss. An incredible spectacle and felt like the best dragon fight in ER by far to me. Placidusax decent too
The best dragon fight in the series and probably my favourite boss from them in general, the only contender being Inner Father.

Hell yeah
@@grayestrat nice to have you here.
@thegoodgeneral1174 looking forward to future kills!
@@grayestrat I appreciate it :).
how did you know he's not gonna do the extra hits when you attack after a single bite or lightning strike?
I didn't, I just always assumed he was going to do them.

Hey good on you. I hated this boss took me using mimic and the in game summon to beat him
There’s no shame in that at all, play the game the way you want to :).
And that's what I did. Sure it's the only one of two bosses I needed to do that with but nevertheless, still sucked for me
Build details pls
