Please could you do a quick video on how you wrap you baby in their sling as mine is now 4 months and wants to sit differently but still carries by me. Thanks and love all you content 🥰
I think the fact that your kids forget about the candy soon after is a testament to how nourishing and delicious the food you cook for your family is ❤
With kids out of sight is out of mind
I am with you on throwing out candy that has been forgotten. I also do that with toys missing parts and seriously regift toys to others when they are completely forgotten.
Yes me too
At Christmas, I had my children go through their toys. In order to get gifts, we regifted to those in need.
Candy gets stale after a while
same here
I’m convinced that you have to have more than 24 hours in your day…mercy honey I get tired just watching you this morning, lol. You are AMAZING!!!
Despite the inherent noise and chaos of a household filled with kids, your ability to consistently produce serene, cozy, and quiet videos showcasing the positive aspects of homemaking is truly commendable. Your dedication to your work, even when overtired, deserves applause.
Throw ALLLLL the candy away!😂 Great job, Mama!!! Also, great compromise letting them have some while it’s exciting, but not putting it out on the counter and encouraging it.. You’re a smart lady!
Right. Denying it completely will backfire
When I hear of all the turmoil in our country and the world, your calm, soft voice is a balm for my soul! It makes my little world feel peace for a bit!
Yes, that’s exactly how I feel.
Letting the kids have some candy, hiding it a few days and tossing it is exactly what i do! They can have it but they certainly dont need it in excess. Dont worry about the comments, its 💯👌😁🤗
I’m Italian and cooking is my life. I have to say you really know what you’re doing in the kitchen!!!
It’s actually very encouraging to see you in more casual clothes and fresh-faced! I sometimes feel like I’m not doing as great because I don’t dress “cute” every day, but it was nice to see I’m not so far from being like you 🤪☺️
To use more eggplant you might look for Greek Eggplant Moussaka Recipe. It has eggplant, potatoes, ground beef, along with a Bechamel Sauce. Very good and filling.
You can also stuff eggplants along with maybe fresh peppers, large tomatoes and or courgettes and bake them - see Greek yemista
Your videos are amazing! Your voice is so calming and you move around the kitchen as if you don’t have a baby strapped to your chest! You are a perfect example of someone who is passionate about what they do! ❤
That's an amazing dish. One of my very favorites!
Love moussaka!
Mousakka is the best ! I like it with ground beef but I love it with ground lamb sometimes even a mix of the two. There is a Greek chef on here named Akis P …… something…..he is amazing and I trust any recipe he gives. Very traditional.
My tzatziki is the best you’ve ever had because I follow his recipes which are traditional lol 😆
So cute seeing even the toddler making pie 🥰
I celebrate Feast of Tabernacles, which starts tomorrow. I always like to make new and exciting recipes during those 8 days, and thanks to you, I went through your recipes and covered each meal! 💜
Love that!
That's amazing! I hope you had a delightful celebration!
It’s wonderful to see your kids get involved in your videos, esp the culinary aspects of it.
Love that Roomba sneaking out of the corner😁
Our favorite eggplant recipe is baba ghanoush. Char a whole eggplant on the grill or gas stove like you would a bell pepper, and squeeze it out of the skin after it swears and cools. Immersion blend with tahini, olive oil, fresh garlic, lemon, and whatever herbs you have on hand. So good as a dip or sandwich spread!
I just made some too😊 .
I love the clips where you’re working with your kids or talking to them. I understand why you would typically cut most of them, and I thank you for the voice over, but it makes it seem more “real” with the raw scenes in there. ❤
You have mentioned pumpkin pie pumpkins in your last two videos, I actually have a tip: the best pumpkins to cook with are actually the really beautiful decorative ones such a Cinderella pumpkins. They have been bred with other squash varieties and have way denser, thick skin that cooks down amazingly and is super flavorful. After they have lived on the porch awhile for decor definitely cook with them. Also, pumpkin puree from the store is mostly butternut squash, not pumpkin 🤯
great tip!
Is that so? I'm thinking I should grow butternut squash instead of pumpkin for pies. Does it mature faster, less than 90 days I hope!?
Hubbard Squash is also great for making pumpkin pies and is a common ingredient in canned pumpkin purée!
Yes! My dad always used butternut for pies, he also would molasses, which was so tasty
It’s good to see boys in the kitchen helping out. Learning to bake cook all that fun stuff
My mantra with throwing out non-nutritious items like candy is - “better to throw the garbage into the garbage instead of treating your body like a garbage can”
That is SOO very good! Thank you for sharing that!
So great seeing the younger boys in the kitchen along with you and your daughter. Loved it!
Thank you sweet beautiful lady! I absolutely love how your kiddos are involved . You’re an incredible mom and teacher! ❤I aspire to be more like you and learn how to cook from scratch. 💪🏼
p.s. eggplant is good with parmesan cheese or battered. Have a lovely day! ☀️
Can i just get 1% of your ability?! lol. The things you do might seem like "nothing" to someone else but to me, they really inspire me to be a better wife and homemaker! The home and the family is our highest priority. I know that cleaning, cooking, and mothering is what God gave us time for. You go girl! 👏🤩🥹😍
You and your sister Laura are just amazing ! You should both teach homemaking classes! 💚💚
Great video!!! Thank you for sharing! God Bless you and your family! 🙏
🌻💛🌻
Love you household!! What a treasure your family is. Thanks for all your great tips. ❤
Can’t wait to watch.
Thank you!
Happy FRIDAY!

Very good. I love how you said you constantly have ideas of things you want to do and that is wonderful.

I really enjoyed watching your children prepare food with you ,that is so wonderful !
So happy to see you❣️
Yip I hoover my fridge too Lisa😅 Loved this video especially the kiddos all helping to bake. ❤
Wow!!!
I am excited to try the sausage gravy recipe. Sure to be a hit with my husband, who loves my sour dough breads (your inspiration!). ❤️
I had such a warm and cozy feel while watching this video and baking. It almost seemed as if I could smell all of the goodness coming from your kitchen. Nice!
I throw away candy, too! Love your videos (I watch them on my Sabbath) and I just made your sourdough English muffins, they are my favorite. Thanks!
Everything looks so good!
hey girl- this was so much fun!!😀😉 yummy food! Always enjoy seeing the kiddos running about and helping in the kitchen. 🥰
Loved seeing those sweet kids making the pie. I’ve been using up what I have on hand. The fridge and cabinets are pretty bare. It’ll be a good time to wipe everything down. Thanks for the motivation Lisa! Take care and God bless y’all! 😀❤️
You create a symphony in your home! ❤
I love the clean out videos! Keep them coming :)
Your videos and you are an inspiration to me! Keep it up! I love your content!

sit and watch your videos for hours!!!
I don't know how you do it all!!
Fantastic!!!👍💕😊
So many great hints Lisa. Love all the stuff you make, looks delicious, as always. Kids are so cute love that they sometimes help out in the kitchen. And I had to giggle when you put your vacuum in the fridge. Trust me, if mine would fit, I would do it as well. Lol. Thanks for a great video. Always enjoy all that you do. You are one good mom and homesteader.
I love your channel Lisa it is so inspiring. I look forward to a new vlog every Friday . Congratulations on all your success. God bless.

❤ seeing the children help out with the pie crusts!!!
Our Pumpkin Patch opens on the 1st, and the girls are so excited.🍂🧡
Now I'm hungry again. What a great way to cook your way through what you have. Every meal sounded delicious.
Yum!! Thanks for your videos, so inspiring :-) We just made some beautiful additions to our kitchen, thanks to your videos. A clean fridge is a blessing :-)
This video was so fun to watch. I laughed when you stuck the vacuum in. I have done that before. Make it easier for momma.
. The gravy looks so good and the chicken. With the breadcrumbs going to try with gluten free
Beautiful!!
Thank you Lisa, for those quick and healthy ideas to use during this very busy fall harvest season. Our house is filled with all things being harvested, dried, frozen, jellied, and baked for winter
I’m coming to your house to eat. Everything looked amazing!!! ❤️
Sausage and gravy looks delish!
Can't wait to try Birch one day for my fam!
The baby always with you ❤ I'm sure he loves to see & hear everything you're doing 😊
Hi Lisa you are so inspirational I love your cook with me days / week you would make such a good teacher I love your no nonsense way of explaining methods and ways to cook 👍🤩Thankyou for sharing these delicious meals🌟
Greetings from the middle of Nebraska! My head was spinning after watching you do a million things in the kitchen! You are amazing!!! I love seeing the children. Your older son is so handsome (all your kids are) but I haven't seen him in a while. He sure has a cute smile! And how wonderful that your children are in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing your recipes and family in the kitchen!! I hope you are getting some rest now and then!!!
The B&G looked divine!!
You are definitely a skilled homemaker/cook! Your "use up what I have" meals all look super delicious. I myself also love the challenge to use what we have in fridge/pantry. It lets me get creative and most dishes turn out tasty. Thank you for taking the time to create these videos.
okay Victor i’m the kitchen in his little chair is SO CUTE haha he’s adorable
Thise biscuits & gravy look so yummy😋
It's beautiful! Thank you for Video ❤❤❤
Came across your channel a few weeks ago but I must say, it became one of my favorites very fast. Your voice is so soothing and I always enjoy seeing what new ideas you come up with. Also big fan of the throwing candy away. I am sure they don't miss them since you always cook them such delicious wholesome treats. Totally baking a pumpkin pie this week myself.
I wish I had half the energy that u have!!!!!GOD BLESS ALWAYS .
Your one daughter is so much your mini me. So wonderful.
You always give such good tips on finding ways to use all food and store it properly, so that it does not get forgotten. We, too, get rid of old candy, broken things that cannot be repaired, and give away anything we simply no longer use for any purpose.
We are a family that throws out candy from parades as well, especially now that we avoid numbered dyes due to my daughter having an allergy to them. Also, I love the coziness of your home in the warm night at night! Made me feel so calm. I can't wait for your sourdough cookbook! I am definitely impatiently waiting for it. I know a lot of it is on the blog, but I love having the books displayed and laid out while I make it.
Thanks I really enjoyed this.😁
These are my favorite videos! Great ideas for using all of the produce and food in the fridge! (Also, I've never seen anybody use their vacuum in the fridge before! 😂 I LOVE your kitchen helpers~especially the tiny one. 😘
Those pantry doors are beautiful!
So nice to see you make your biscuits and sausage gravy the same as I do. I've seen some "professional" chefs who don't know diddly about making sausage gravy.
I'm having the same kind of day on our homestead! And frankly, facing down the tasks had me just the teensiest bit overwhelmed, so this video has perfect timing! I, too, have a trash can (more than one if you count my barn lol) thats "a little yucky" 🤣🤣🤣 Btw, I did the same thing with candy when my kids were younger!🙋♀️ Have a beautiful day, Lisa, and everyone ❤️ 💕
I made your pumpkin pie recipe last week actually lol. Used sourdough crust. We loved it!
So smart to use up just about everything, clean, then bring in new groceries. The biscuits and gravy, oh my goodness. Those are the best!! God bless.
Good luck with the challenge !❤️
My daughter throws out the candy too. I can not believe the energy you have!!! God bless you!
We do eggplant in chili aswell! The kids love it
Very nice video! Thanks for sharing this Lisa.❤God bless you and your family♥️We love you♥️☘️💚💐🌹🌺🌻🍂♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much!
I love these kind of videos!! Helps so much to get ideas on how to use things up❤
I'm so glad!
That strata looks amazing! You’re blessed to have a family that will eat a variety of things! I love watching Johanna in the kitchen. My grandson is a little older than her but he’s been cooking since he was little and is very talented in the kitchen. It’s refreshing to expose children to tasks that some people think they’re not capable of. I hope she won a ribbon for her pie! 🥇🥧
Look at all those sweet children rolling out dough! Daughter is a pro. Impressed.
This was a really useful video, Lisa. I love that it feels like a game to you. My game is no waste, easy, no stores as possible, too. And i feel a silly amount of accomplishment when i can say i haven't been in a grocery store in months!
The onion cream gravy sounds like one I will look forward to trying. Love seeing the day to day actives! It really gives me a boost, new ideas to stay excited, and ready to get back to mothering my best. I really find that the from starch meals keep my husband and children loving each day. It's truly amazing to me how simple that sounds... not always as simple as we make it though LOL Thanks for you time and talent.
Love your videos! You say you’re not organized, but I would say different!!! ❤️
Wonderful example ❤
thank you for responding to my question! !!!
