There's nothing to admire. It has nothing to do with "class" but good manners. Unless you have some personality disorder(s) or have the brain of a child, it's a common good behavior to not trash talk on something only because you were not part of it. Or do you think Jeff if a narcissist? We are not bitches, so no bitch talk.
In addition, if somebody is able to get personal and talk bad in public about a person he should be able to publicly say something good when there is something good to say. We should all act like grown ups.
Aside from that, Wiliams and Legion are two different things. They are used synonymous. When you hate the Wiliams brothers there is no need to hate the complete team and anything they do. One could argue that hate isn't a healthy emotion at all. In fact, hate is considered a mental disease by psychologists that needs to be cured.
Just think about how miserable hate makes you feel. The subject can shrug it off but you can't. It will eat your guts and soul and makes you a grumpy fart nobody likes because of the bad vibes. Laughing is healthy, a feel good emotion, that's why everybody loves to laugh and loves people that make them laugh. But it is how it is.
And fact is that this project has a lot of potential to elevate crit racing in terms of relevance. How can you you not embrace this? It's only the kind of people that love trash talk, drama and boulevard style journalism to entertain them that are kind of disappointed that Jeff is not continuing to escalate the matter. It's just smart to let it go. In retrospective, all that happened was pretty much useless. It didn't change anything and it was never meant to change something. We were just witnesses of two people being angry at each other. Why should we care to join either side? At best we should tell them to stop it as it just distracts from our sport. I come here to consume some race related content, for information or entertainment. I don't consume this channel to watch Jeff being angry. I have my own troubles, I don't need to be involved with his. It doesn't make sense. We are not friends or family. I even never met him. So I don't care if he has feud with his neighbor because of their dog or whatever.
Maybe Wiliams and Jeff won't become friends anymore (nothing is impossible), but let's hope they at least remain serious competitors that value each other as an athlete that shares the same passion for the same sport. That would be great for everybody, especially the community. Now we have to catch up with Jeff and stop the hate and bring the focus back to what matters the most and why we originally came here: the common love for crit racing.

Did anyone get paid this time ? As a long time cycling fan and former racer/rider I can honestly say I don't feel especially thrilled by these new formats. I understand they might want to try and get new fans into the sport which is great and maybe regional/city connections might do that but honestly I have no connection whatsoever with the Milwaukee Swarm but I'm much more familiar with Project Echelon. There were a lot of good riders in the race albeit on teams I didn't know anything about but there were tons of top pros who weren't there and the invite only format isn't something that seems to have worked in the past since it was top heavy with Legion affiliated teams. If you're essentially paying yourself to put on a race I don't think it's going to hold much interest for me but maybe someone in Atlanta eating wings and drinking beer while watching this 'new' thing happening will be over the moon. Three crit series in America all trying to make it when one barely has been able to up to this point is going to be interesting for sure.

The way criterium racing is in the US it is pretty much an amateur sport. They have to put all kind of categories together due to the lack of serious pro teams. It's a niche sport in the US. For the sake of our beloved sport we should be happy if this concept works and more UCI pro level athletes are going compete in this series in the near future. @@MorgusVR See how biased this topic is? People act like Legion is the dangerous foul apple that is about to infect and rotten our sport. There are far more malicious people out there that don't get any recognition (not talking about "the hate"). Even when those malicious people are directly linked to the referenced Legion event. No shit storm. No hate tirades. Just nobody cares. But everybody cares about the black Wiliams brothers. Very biased. So obvious.

@@gmen1305 If you are faster you will win or cross the finishing line before them, it's that simple. Nothing changes. If your team has 50 members you would split it up, that's normal, isn't it? This is not cheating (because you kinda imply that this is cheating). Maybe there are not enough pro level teams. Maybe some other reason, who knows? Nobody asks so nobody knows. Ask, evaluate the fact based information, then judge. From what I read your implication that they all race as one team behind the scene is also a wrong implication. They genuinely compete against each other - they are different teams. You can tell from the race footage that they where not helping each other. So it was a fair race. Unless somebody was doped, the competition was fair. And let's not forget, this was a beta test event. Maybe the future events require teams to register by buying a license. This would even bring up the prize money.

But then they, again, field two teams where others only get one, they hire a World Tour pro for the day so they can get the win and they are selective in who gets an invite. Seems more like an ego and money thing than love for cycling.

@NorCal Cycling in your next video, a Legion focused topic in particular, ask the people to behave like civilized beings. Tell them your content is about cycling and not about cultivating hatred. Please! For the sake of a joyful content experience, at least! It's getting worse each time you publish content.
I understand that Legion gives you clicks which is the foundation of your TH-cam business. Every time "Legion" pops up in your titles, you get top views compared to your other content. Fine, absolutely. But then tell a certain group of followers and fans that fanatically idolize you to stop spreading any hate and wicked conspiracy theories here. Please, make a stance that your channel is not meant to be the platform for for any negativity. Make it clear that you don't want this. You are responsible as you are in control of this particular group of people. Those people will still follow you. They feel that what they do is ok and probably think you welcome their enthusiasm. This group obviously looks up to you, so your word can help to eliminate the toxic and depressive climate in your comment sections. I still don't believe that you want this to happen. And because your are part of the matter in these comments you are even more responsible to make that kind of a statement. Thank you!
