I think the pack closed the gap back down to <10 seconds a couple of times but then people would just stop pulling. Was everyone just afraid of getting countered?
Same as Cav's RR win last year. No strong teams, just individuals who couldn't come to any agreement with other favorites and refused to do any work, and then get countered. Dude made his own luck!
Not a big fan of criterium racing, as they usually end in a bunch sprint but I loved this. When he had 15 seconds I thought they'd surely bring him back slowly but loved watching him gain 1/2 a second per lap and stay away. Congrats Ollie from Australia
