    Here at Sun Distributing, we believe that the supplier of the window film should know every aspect of the business. It makes it hard when a tinter or tint shop needs support but their supplier does not know the business from one end to the other. I started as a tinter helper in 1989 and worked my way up to the point of distribution. Along the way I have put together a successful retail tint shop and know every hurdle that a tinter and/or shop owner could face. I believe that there is an extreme value to having a company with our experience in the industry having your back.

    I will say I got ceramic tint for the first time and when I roll my window down I can feel a blast of heat from the sun. the important thing tho is you NEED to tint your WINDSHIELD. Even if it's just a 80% clear tint, it's MANDATORY for keeping your car cool

      @@chinito20fam I wonder what would happen in the event of an accident. I wonder if you could have issue with them saying you tinted your windshield illegally impairing vision. I notice driving at night in my area with my side windows tinted, vision is impaired. It gets really dark out here and theres a lack of street lights. Make right or left turn, I have to be extra careful that there isnt somebody there on foot.

    Thanks thumbs up. I'm only 46 seconds into the video and I partially got my answer. I recently got my car tinted and it was like 80° today, but it felt like it was too muc heat coming through the car. I paid $300 on my windshield for XR plus and I'm not sure if when I went to the dealer and had him used the BTU meter if his reading that he told me was for sure XR plus. He put XR plus 35% on my windshield. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I think that I saw some in the two hundreds and then it went down to an eight.

    I have seen and used a ton of different tools over the last 21 years of tinting windows, and when the Side Swiper was first introduced IT WAS AMAZING. But if you have not used a Short Cut, youre totally missing out. Look into it, i think its a way improved version of the Side Swiper. Ceramis Film is number 1 for sure

    I was wondering if security cameras that use IR at night, can see through this type of tinting. Did you ever tried?

  • @thisisjustplainstupi
    @thisisjustplainstupi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    We use purple super clean for removals. The glue usually just falls off but can be messy. Also 5% Ceramic pronano geoshield and 5% carbon geoshield reject the same amount of heat (based on our geoshield IR sample board) so it's really not an honest heat rejection sale as with lighter films where the difference can be major. While the ceramic film may be easier to work with and handle, the customer doesn't recieve any different benefits other than a high upsell price. To each business their own, but I try to be honest with my clients and let them know 5% is 5% for the most part.

    MATT!!! I been tinting for 30 years, still to this day I do not do a lot ceramic tinting. I do not have a BTU meter, I would like to know in real time how hot the car gets under the sun, with a thermostat , not the meter. Is it possible you can do a video of a car with ceramic and a non ceramic and have it under the sun with a regular thermostat. So we can actually see how hot it gets in temperature, I have asked other TH-camrs that say how good the ceramic tints are but noone would make the video. I m sure I m not the only one that would love to see a video like that , It would legitimize how good ceramic is, rather than trying to figure what 300 or 50 means on a solar meter.
