This helped me to do this. Home theater AV receiver --> frontal main speakers --> LOC --> stereo amplifier --> One pair of speakers. Now I can use only one pair of main speakers for music and for movies and games. I don't see this solution very often. Thank you.
Yes what did you run the remote wire to? Most of the fuses in my car are constant Im curious to what fuse turns on when the ignition key is turned on. I have a 2007 cadillac escalade.

I have the loc pro LP7-2. With this converter you can just connect the remote wire directly to the amp with out having to run a remote wire through your vehicle. It’s all just depends on which converter you have. Hope this helps
Great video! I have 05' GMC Yukon Denali w/ the premium Bose system and scratching my head as to where I tap the yellow 12v power and blue remote turn on wire from my PAC LP6-2R LOC? Do I run them directly to my aftermarket amp or do i need to tap them into my corresponding factory wires?
So I'm installing a PAC LP6-2R to my 05' Yukon Denali with premium Bose system. And want to retain my premium Bose system for my factory speakers and sub. All I'm trying to do is add a aftermarket subwoofer and amp. I've got everything connected w/ the PAC LP6-2R LOC, MEMPHIS AUDIO 1000watt amp, and kicker comp R subwoofer but no sound The only reason i can think of it not working is I've only got the left speaker + and - connect to the back of my H/U... Does both channels need to be connected to work ?

I'm planning to change my Stock front speakers too, Any suggestions for the type (and brand) of front speakers which will suit my setup?
Being that this a factory 4 channel with tweeter, it's likely that you have full range output on all four speakers, we never truly know without testing it. If I were to wager, I think your setup will be fine as described.
Best LOC video I've found, extremely informative. Only one question remains for me: Is there a limit to the length of wire ran on either side of the LOC? Should the speaker level side be short and very close to the head unit, or should the low level side be short with the LOC closer to the amplifier? Is there a medium, or is it not important? I see how yours are setup and I'll mirror that for now. Thank you very much.
I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado. IV installed everything and it works but how do I adjust the radio to maximize quality and bass?. Turn bass up or down? And then turn gain up on amp?. Not much tuning options on factory radio, Thank you for your time
As a Formally Trained Audio Engineer and a guy who cut his teeth doing car stereos I thought that was actually a pretty good breakdown for folks that don't have an electronics background or a lot of inclination to get deep on how all this audio stuff works. I employed one of these adapters in a Bar where the Owner asked if I could run the output of his Jukebox (which only had a Left and Right External Speaker Output) into the speakers He had in the ceiling (or more correctly to the amp that powered those speakers) and it worked beautifully - also it's great because it mirrors the volume of its source relatively speaking. Not sure why this got so many thumbs down - I thought it was fairly spot on. Also for the record this doesn't replace the speakers in the circuit - it sits in parallel with the speakers (a "tap" so to speak) which keep the Ohm load correct to the amp - You'll have much more success than trying to completely use this device by itself without those speakers. - MM in Denver CO
Do you only need to use 1 speaker when tapping in to them? Or do you need to use 2 speakers? I have mine set up running off of my right front door speaker. But it’s seems that I am only getting single, or power, or very week response out of one of my subwoofers. Thanks in advance for any help!
Quick question I got the kicker version of this loc which has the remote wire. But my question is, is it OK to tap into the stock OEM subwoofer connection? Is it too much power for that little device or will it be OK? It’s the stock amp and subwoofer plug in the back of the mega cab behind the seats . Just because it’s easy to access is why I’m asking
im planning on doing something like this on my 00 323i. My rear deck speakers are blown as of right now and im thinking of just using the wires from that, and putting an loc in my trunk with the rear deck speaker wires running to it. Then running rca to my amp. Do you think it would work?
I have a 2016 Cadillac CTs vsport with Bose 13 premium speakers and factory amp my questions are what’s the best loc to use? I’ve tried the lc2i and keyloc on my old Cadillac ats when just adding a subwoofer, but if I wanted to change the door speakers and use a four channel amp, is there a way to bypass the factory amp or can I just replace the front speakers with some more high output speakers that I have, and keep the factory amp?
You should always keep that in the back of your mind. That when in most cases, when dealing with car audio a yellow is always gonna be a constant. Twelve volt and black more than likely most of the time is a ground.
Thanks man , I have a question. I tapped in to my factory subwoofer but my PAC LP7-2 won’t play a beat. I’m guessing it doesn’t pick up those frequencies right? Should I upgrade to a LC2-I
If you are using AGU fuses use a continuity check on your fuses, they are notoriously unreliable with their end connections. Fuse looks fine but not actual connection.
Nothing wrong with high level. The key is. If you have to extend the speaker wire. Use “cross link wire”. No voltage drop with them. More expensive though.
Can you use this if you got a aftermarket radio? I was thinking about buying a SC6 line output signal converter. But I only wanted to use it for having the max input voltage for my sub amp and my 4 channel. I could just plug rca in from aftermarket radio and rca out to the amps?
I have a 2017 lexus is300 I wired the loc to the factory amplifer 8 inch woofer wires left and right together since I only have one 8inch factory sub. Will this be OK or would my signal be weak because I don't have a left amd right signal
U have several questions and cannot find a utube that is specific to it... 1 - Do I have to use the Power Yellow and the Remote Blue cable if my Amp already has it ? Meaning all I will need to connect is the Speaker wire. 2 - I have the PAC LP7-4 L.O.C. PRO Series 4-Channel device, I'm only going to tap in the rear speakers, so I will use 2 channel on the PAC, can I just twist the other two channels together ? Meaning I will use the White and Gray for the 2 channels, can I just twist the Green to the White and the Purple to the Gray for all 4 channels and then go all 4 channels to my amp RCA ? 3 - The the Gain on the PAC will only have the adjustment on one side which is the Right and Left Rear Or Front ? or would I need to adjust both Gains to the same ?
In addition to running speaker wires from the LOC to the car speaker wires, I just realized I ran an additional set on both car speakers and ran them into the speaker terminals on the sub amplifier obviously where the sub speaker wires go into. The sub works and sounds great I just don’t know if there’s any issues to having another set of wires on each side of the car speakers running into the speaker terminals on the sub amplifier
I will say, which he stated as well that the factory deck does make a difference in outputs signals to different speakers so go for whats best. I have a 2017 wrx and have had nothing but trouble so far with my system. First I bought the PAC LP7-2 and honestly sounded like crap. My sub didn't sound nowhere near what it sounded like I'm my truck with aftermarket deck and everything. So I purchased a Skorpion LOC which did help a lot more but still wasn't "clean" bass. Used the Skorpion LOC before in a different car and worked amazing But not for my wrx. Next step would be the audio control LC2i active LOC. Main reason for this long comment, any amp takes about 5 volts input signal to the amp. The PAC LP7-2 only puts out about 1.6 volts. Audio control LC2i puts out almost 7 volts! Little more than needed and for 40 bucks more the than PAC, you do the math. May be the reason why you might have sound quality issues as well. You pay for what you get. In some applications its perfect but others, no. Worked on car audio for 7 years now and learned to much crap on my own. Even the hard way. Hope this helps👍
I have a 2017 STI Base Model and I have been looking at upgrading my sound system. I went to many car audio shops in my area and I've been getting different recommendations from each of them. Anyway, I want to keep my stock head unit, so some of them recommended me to get an LC7 and some of them told me just to get this Line Output Converter. I am really confused on who should I listen to. I feel like some of them just want my money and don't really care what the outcome is gonna be for my sound set up. So idk if i wanna do just the LOC or an LC7.
If you're not getting a clean signal, then you're not getting a great crossover or the source signal doesn't possess the range needed for the output speaker. Crossovers designate which frequencies go to which speakers, and are usually necessary to give an aftermarket system a truly "clean" sound. It will only allow the target speaker(s) to produce the specified frequencies. Again, it also matters where the source frequencies are coming from.
i’m trying to install two 10 inch subwoofers to my car and i don’t know too much about installing speakers, if you’re tapping the two speakers in the trunk like you did in the video, what do i need to do to the head unit?
Roxshot Use a test tone disc and DMM.Test 40hz...400hz.....1000hz......4000 hz at the same volume level. If the voltage output is basically the same for each frequency then you've got a full range signal. If say 40hz has a much higher voltage reading than 400hz than that signal has a low pass filter on it....etc
Can i just go off the passenger rear speaker on my 14 dodge ram. Used the loc2. Just not sure if im not getting full range by not going on driver side as well
I have a 2011 murano with the factory bose amp and sub. Can I tap into the amp to hook up the loc? All I'm looking to do is add another amp and 12 inch sub. I would run separate power from the battery. Looking for some ideas thanks
I do have a question though. If I'm just using the high level straight from the amplifier itself, do I need to have the remote wire extended all the way to the factory stock stereo? I guess what I'm asking is do high level installation have a trigger for remote turn on so that I won't have to connect it to the head unit (like the LOC here)?
I'm still very very confused. I have 2 kenwood 12s and 2 amps. I'll be running about 2500 watts to the subs. Will the converter be able to handle that?
I've watched vids where they cut the wire right next to the factory stereo and then others that did your way. Can I connect the LOC directly from each speaker rather than cutting the factory harness? And do I have to connect all the speakers to the LOC?
I have a 2013 Lincoln MKT that has an amp with a non working subwoofer. My question is can I get the signal from the existing subwoofer wires and if so do I split that single signal so I can get L & R signals out of my line output converter?
Amazing this is professional engineering technical work, for like this professional work you must pay any amount of labor charges. Excellent explanation.👍👍👍 Question. Car with fiber optic amplifier systems to upgrade sound unit to aftermarket Sony or alpine.. Etc how can used the original amplifier with fiber optic cable, or delete all systems or what the best solution or option I have.
Please answer my dumb question? I was using RF-HLC4 LOC and the front left speaker was cutting in and out sometimes on low volume. Then i replaces the loc with PAC LP3-2 prod and the sound is too low. Gain settings in the amplifier is same but the sound is very low. Can the volume level be different by using different LOC? I am using sd400/4v2 amplifies.
Check your wires for proper polarity, for example left speaker is +/- and right is -/+ make sure it's correct I did the same thing and now it works fine.
Divine Ebbat Thank you. After some debugging i got to know there is a gain control on PAC lp3-2 and that was set as low. After adjusting to maximum sound was back to normal.
what if you have only one speaker (sub) on the back. can you connect the two positives and two negatives on LOC (front and rear ) to the single wires from the speaker?
Hey folks I have a question I just purchased A MTX terminator two 12s in 1 boxand the amp is 1200 Watts also terminator. I have it in my 2003 Pontiac grand am. I feel like it's not beating to it's full potential so I went back over my wiring and the h-l-i cord is not hooked up. Am I supposed to run new wire from back of radio to the hli piece or how do I hook up that part? Please help ASAP. SHOULD I BUY NEW AMP OR DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG???
Do LOCs increase the output voltage on the amp since the amp amplifies the low level signal, by increasing the low level signal let's say from 2v to 8v, shouldn't the amp hypothetically output 120v instead of 85v? (I'm using generic numbers, very similar to what my 2 Taramps Bass 8Ks output.
I'm looking for a wire harness for a 2012 Infiniti QX56. I'm trying to run the RCA from the front of the truck. It's to add the complete system, crossover, amps for mid/high and a bass amp. I have search all over for the wire harness and can't find one. Any ideas on where I can find this in Florida?
Why do you wire LOC converter to the wires coming out from the factory amplifier instead of wire in before the factory amplifier? Is there much difference in reality?
Installed this today. 2012 Malibu rear speakers. Loc will not shut off for 10 min tho I think it's the radio. I would understand if it was connected to front drivers due to chime. I may have to put mine on acc 12v
I am on my second p a c LP 7-2. My first was reading very low voltage. My second one did the same thing, I'm trying to target 2v but the highest reading is 0.017 ac.volts on both converters. I used two different multimeters with the same reading. My car is 08 Acura TL and I tapped into the rear speaker. I know for a fact I have it hooked up correctly. Do you know what's going on?
@@Qualitymobilevideo so.. i just can figure it out on my new modification to my installation.. it worked previously. My system look like this. 1, 4 channel amp (Rockforf Fosgate P400-4) 1, 1 channel amp (Rockford Fosgate P1000x1Bd) 1, 4 channel LOC (NVX XPLOC4) 1, Rockford Fosgate RFI2SW RCA adapter My last known "good" installation was hooked up like this. High level signal coming from factory IAM going in to LOC. From LOC front channels output to front channel input on 4ch amp. From LOC rear channels output to 1ch input From 1ch amp pass through output to rear channels input on 4ch amp. 12v and ground to LOC remote from LOC to 1ch amp and 4ch amp. Have been working good. Now i decided to try something new. My 1ch amp has highlevel signal capable RCA inputs and can be used by connecting high level speaker wires from IAM to a RCA-adapter cable. Then i can ditch the 12v, ground and remote from LOC and instead use 1ch amps remote out built in and active when amp signal sensing. I have followed the instructions for LOC, 1ch amp and the adapter cable. I just cant get it to work. Im so annoyed and frustrated. I have some pictures how ive done it. Its like a worm nest looking but.. Also measured with DMM ground on ground on the RCA plugs and chassi ground, measured on amp 12v and ground, measured on positive pin on rca plug and ground on rca shield. Measured on speaker wires signal from IAM Amp are not turning on, no signal, no lights.. nothing. What have i done wrong? what am i missing? how do i diagnose further? How can i upload and show pictures? or can i send them in private somehow?
If the blue Remout ON wire is connected to a constant power like in your installation, the amplifier will be ON all the time and may drain your car battery when the car is not running. Is it better to connect the blue wire to an "Accessory" or "Ignition" power?
Makes sense now my line output converter never had a ground wire to cancel out the humming from my subs happens sometimes and other times I turn the car on doesn’t happen I have to get one with a ground wire
Can you still use the PAC LP7-2 if you are tapping stock amplified 2ohm leads? replacing the 2ohm full range speakers with the LP7-2? Will this great an issue with the existing untouched existing 8 speakers.?
What do You recommend for 2016 Mazda 3 hatchback I wanna power all speakers and subs from the amps? And how would I go about wringing it up ? Do I run all Speaker wires to the back or can I use some type of splitter from the stock deck so I don’t have to run wire the internal speakers? I was looking at a lc7i but confused on how to wire it up to the speakers so the amp powers them.
Hey bud, you can power speakers with your head unit and use your amplifier to either power just a subwoofer or subwoofer and speakers. Here's a great video we did on showing how to power your speakers with your head unit and subwoofer with an amplifier: th-cam.com/video/ViY4vGoYYDw/w-d-xo.html
I have the opposite problem. I have an aftermarket head unit with RCAs out and I would like to use a stock stereo I have sitting around because it fits the area. How do I do that?
So I installed a loc into what I assume are the correct wires but I get no audio. Every diagram I have say it’s the same wires but when I look at em for example it say blue/white and it’s not really white it’s like Blue yellow
So, I cut the right front speaker wires from the factory unit.. now I connect the wires to the LOC and then use the other side of the speaker wires and run it to the amp?
What I’m looking for is the opposite! 🤦♂️ i have RCA out pout from my kenwood (3 pairs) and I want to connect them to my speakers without an amp! There will be just 1 mono amp for the subwoofer so I want to connect the front and rear speakers to the head unit with an RCA so I can enable the X’ over from my Kenwood Excelon DDX9906XR! Please advise 🙏
Hooked up a sub and amp to my factory dodge Dakota. Not using a LOC! I just spliced into my rear speakers on the door with speaker wire and converted the ends to RCA plugins. Seems to work fine. The bass hits. But when I turn up the volume quick it cuts out and loses bass. I then have to turn down bass on the radio for the sub bass to kick on again. Why is this happening? Thanks.
Mono block amp? Is there an advantage to wire 2 rear speakers to the LOC or can i wire just 1 speaker output to both +and- of the LOC if just used for a Subwoofer amp?
I have a request. Can you make a vedio for a 2000 Lexus ES300 model. I really want to upgrade all my speaker systems. But I want to keep my stock radio cassette player. It would be a great help for me as I am very much interested and like your work. It's so neat. Please make a vedio on this vehicle model.
a little confused with the wattage. first time i would be using a LOC. if i have a 750 watt amp and 800watt sub and the amp is still pulling directly from the battery so power wise its good does it matter if the LOC is only 400watts? my guess is no since the amp would still amplify and send 750 to the sub. would LC2i be enough?
I have a corolla 2015 with after market-powered sub. The part where you connected the remote turn on for the amp was on the LOC, I dont have an LOC on my arrangement just a powered sub.. if you can please help me with where to connect that? thanks
Hey question. I recently installed a line out converter but i can only use 1 rca plug if i plug in the second rca my subs wont work. I installed on a 2014 chevrolet impala without bose the the wiring for the two rear door speakers
Don't know anything about the system. What did you have installed? What type of system was it at stock? Do you still have an OEM head unit, or an aftermarket? Did your factory system have an OEM amp? (premium sound) Need info to give info, broski.
Amazing vid my speakers pop when I turn it up after turning up the volume. Also there is no bass to the subwoofer ( I’m only running a sub to a 4 channel amp) can you help me out?
please help me you keep saying stock stereo dose that mean this only works with a stock stereo .... what i want to use this is for my aftermarket car stereo that only as only 2 rca outs (a single left and a single right) would i be able to wire this in to my front left speaker and right front speaker to make my front speakers amplified ?
I have a popping sound and static. Would this help with that issue?? I installed a aftermarket Pioneer AVX 1500. With a 4 channel amp. And a 2 Chanel amp for a 12 kicker L7S sub.

So I want to put this set up "Rear speakers and a sub" with el 4 channel amp RockFord Fosfate R400. Do I need a 4 channel line output converter and the same process of tapping the rears? How do I wire for 4 channel tapping the rear
If my aftermarket radio has a front rca output and a rear/SW output, would it be a good idea to use Y rca cables to split the signal so I can connect both the sub amp and the front and rear amp? Or should I convert the high level outputs to Low level RCA and use that as my outputs
I have subs installed to my stock radio but now I have a aftermarket head unit was wondering how I use a universal bass knob without having any rcas going to the head unit since I still have my line output converter
So as long as you’ve already got a rem wire going to accessory, you don’t need to use the rem wire on the converter? And so long as you got clear sound, you don’t need to use the brown ground wire?
OKAY this is what i needed so i did the same thing with my rear deck speakers and i had a high level output harnas for months. And today i wired the 4 wires to my LOC and connected it now my amp nor subwoofer will turn on
Your amp using high level input probably had audio signal sense turn on. You will need to double check your owners manual to see if it is possible to have signal sense turn on using RCA inputs, if it doesn’t you need to run a remote turn on wire.
Hey guys thanks for all that information! I still have a question tho... I’m about to install a Kenwood 6 channel amp on my 2017 Honda Accord that has the 4 speaker only factory system, so far so good right... 4 channels from factory HU to the amp then out to 4 speakers... my question is, what channel from the factory stereo/hu should feed the subwoofer since all 4 are taken?? Do I split the signal from the LOC’s RCA output so I can feed the subs input rca on the amp? What do you recommend I should do? If I get a six channel LOC I face the same problem only at the inverse. What type of solution do you recommend? Your help is greatly appreciate it!!! :)
nice video, a quick question, i have 2 amplifiers 1 for my door speakers which i understand for low line output converter is installed on stock radio, but for my subwoofer amplifier where do i connect signal wire for a low line output rca to my amp? thanks hope you can help
I've been trying a reverse to this without much success, converting pre-out RCA from my head unit to line-level to feed the factory amplifier, it's good enough for me. Originally with the high-line output to the amp it was too loud, as you'd expect but now with the pre-out it's too quiet at full volume. Not sure how I can find a middle ground. The amplifier in the head unit should be good enough as it's a new high-end Alpine unit so I'm tempted to rip out the factory amp and install passive crossovers instead for my 12 speakers. Still considering my options.
I have similar setup as you. I have problem that playing music wakes amp, but playing radio does not. Do you have problem waking factory amp with aftermarket head unit?
Do you recommende LP7-2 over LP7-4? My question is if I want to keep the balance of my stock stereo with an Amp but with additional Amp to a Subwoofer.
Do you know if the 2015 and up Dodge Chargers SXT rear speaker wires are full range? I want to connect Audio Control LC7i or DQ-61 so I can connect 3 amps each for high, mids and lows from the just rear speaker signal.

I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado. IV installed everything and it works but how do I adjust the radio to maximize quality and bass?. Turn bass up or down? And then turn gain up on amp?. Not much tuning options on factory radio, Thank you for your time
Better to buy an equalizer
You are the real MVP for this video I tapped my Bose base speaker and all I get it base in my mids I'm gonna try the lci2
Woo!
My car has a single factory subwoofer in backdash. Should I just tap both left n right positive as 1 and the negatives as 1?
yes.
I wish you were in my area with this kind of professionalism
Thanks bud!
Finally a clear answer on the yellow and black wires! No other videos cover that.,
Glad it helped Chris!
You should always keep that in the back of your mind. That when in most cases, when dealing with car audio a yellow is always gonna be a constant. Twelve volt and black more than likely most of the time is a ground.
If I got a 6 speaker in/out converter but I only have 4 speakers, is that ok or should I get a 4 in/out?
Yes, no problem. You will not use two of them.
How do you find out which ones have full range output the rear or front?
You will need to use an RTA and scope the speaker wires.
Thanks man , I have a question. I tapped in to my factory subwoofer but my PAC LP7-2 won’t play a beat. I’m guessing it doesn’t pick up those frequencies right? Should I upgrade to a LC2-I
Why would I get power to the inline 8 gauge fuse from my truck battery but no power from the fuse to my amp? But the fuse is good.
If you are using AGU fuses use a continuity check on your fuses, they are notoriously unreliable with their end connections. Fuse looks fine but not actual connection.
Are the high level inputs generally quieter than the loc
Hello, is this adapter able to reduce chime noise (like turn signal, parking sounds) ?
Nice video, very professional and informative. Thanks for taking the time to make a great video!
Glad it helped!
In addition to running speaker wires from the LOC to the car speaker wires, I just realized I ran an additional set on both car speakers and ran them into the speaker terminals on the sub amplifier obviously where the sub speaker wires go into. The sub works and sounds great I just don’t know if there’s any issues to having another set of wires on each side of the car speakers running into the speaker terminals on the sub amplifier
so if i want to put a 1 channel bass amp and a 4 channel voice i got to buy 2 converters then?
No, buy a 4-channel LOC and Loop it through your 4-channel amp or use y-connectors if your 4-channel does have outputs.
I have factory woofers that has 8 ohms can I use this signal through one of there LOC? Will it matter that my amp is 4 ohms?
@@BinaryBroadcast The speaker level inputs of an amp are the same thing as a LOC so I never understand why people use LOC's if their amps have HLI's?
If you're not getting a clean signal, then you're not getting a great crossover or the source signal doesn't possess the range needed for the output speaker.
Crossovers designate which frequencies go to which speakers, and are usually necessary to give an aftermarket system a truly "clean" sound. It will only allow the target speaker(s) to produce the specified frequencies.
Again, it also matters where the source frequencies are coming from.
do you just connect the constant 12v to the power wire from the battery? and also connect it right to the ground connection on the amp itself?
In a 4 channel set up do I need to tap each speaker and run it to the LOC?
i’m trying to install two 10 inch subwoofers to my car and i don’t know too much about installing speakers, if you’re tapping the two speakers in the trunk like you did in the video, what do i need to do to the head unit?
I was hoping you were going to tune it. Im not sure the relation between the gain on my monoblock and the gain on the line out converter
Very informative video! One question - how did you test for Full Range Output?
Can you make a video on how to run the remote wire the yellow and blue wire
Thank, buddy for this very informative video..... I like how thorough you are with your explanations.
Glad you enjoyed it Tony!
How do you know if your amp can decipher hi and low from a simple rca split from a line output converter? What would be in description on amp ?
I've watched vids where they cut the wire right next to the factory stereo and then others that did your way. Can I connect the LOC directly from each speaker rather than cutting the factory harness? And do I have to connect all the speakers to the LOC?
I hope u read and reply to my question. I have 2 channel stereo without line level out how do I use this device for add Com.
I have a 2013 Lincoln MKT that has an amp with a non working subwoofer. My question is can I get the signal from the existing subwoofer wires and if so do I split that single signal so I can get L & R signals out of my line output converter?
Do you mean if you replace the woofer with a new one, if you can use the same connections?
Amazing this is professional engineering technical work, for like this professional work you must pay any amount of labor charges. Excellent explanation.👍👍👍
Question.
Brandon, No, they convert speaker level high voltage (8-50 volts) signal to low level RCA signals (200mv - 8 volt).
I have some install/reconfiguration questions!
Throw them out at we’ll see
@@Qualitymobilevideo so.. i just can figure it out on my new modification to my installation.. it worked previously.
My system look like this.
1, 4 channel amp (Rockforf Fosgate P400-4)
1, 1 channel amp (Rockford Fosgate P1000x1Bd)
1, 4 channel LOC (NVX XPLOC4)
1, Rockford Fosgate RFI2SW RCA adapter
My last known "good" installation was hooked up like this.
High level signal coming from factory IAM going in to LOC.
From LOC front channels output to front channel input on 4ch amp.
From LOC rear channels output to 1ch input
From 1ch amp pass through output to rear channels input on 4ch amp.
12v and ground to LOC
remote from LOC to 1ch amp and 4ch amp.
Measured on speaker wires signal from IAM
Amp are not turning on, no signal, no lights.. nothing.
What have i done wrong? what am i missing? how do i diagnose further?
How can i upload and show pictures? or can i send them in private somehow?
@@Qualitymobilevideo trying to paste a link to pictures and manuals but my post gets deleted. Don't know how to come around it.
So helpful took so much stress away watching this video.
Do I run all
Speaker wires to the back or can I use some type of splitter from the stock deck so I don’t have to run wire the internal speakers? I was looking at a lc7i but confused on how to wire it up to the speakers so the amp powers them.
Hey bud, you can power speakers with your head unit and use your amplifier to either power just a subwoofer or subwoofer and speakers. Here's a great video we did on showing how to power your speakers with your head unit and subwoofer with an amplifier: th-cam.com/video/ViY4vGoYYDw/w-d-xo.html
And this is the update where we added a 4 channel amplifier for just the speakers: th-cam.com/video/LPmZC9u39LE/w-d-xo.html
I have the opposite problem. I have an aftermarket head unit with RCAs out and I would like to use a stock stereo I have sitting around because it fits the area. How do I do that?
Can a line output converter like audio control with all the adjustments and 10 V out sound better than a good aftermarket head unit?
Pretty much every amplifier has high level inputs. What advantage does a line output converter have?
No all input stages are created equal. High quality LOC's are generally better.
So I installed a loc into what I assume are the correct wires but I get no audio. Every diagram I have say it’s the same wires but when I look at em for example it say blue/white and it’s not really white it’s like
Blue yellow
He said 20,000 KHz....lol Just bustin' your chops, man; Your vids are awesome!! Sparks in Daytona
Thanks!
I have a request. Can you make a vedio for a 2000 Lexus ES300 model. I really want to upgrade all my speaker systems. But I want to keep my stock radio cassette player. It would be a great help for me as I am very much interested and like your work. It's so neat. Please make a vedio on this vehicle model.
i used kicker kisloc2 on my 2015 sentra, why am i getting static, do i need to turn pots down?
This helped more than any other video out there. Dope
💪💪💪
a little confused with the wattage. first time i would be using a LOC. if i have a 750 watt amp and 800watt sub and the amp is still pulling directly from the battery so power wise its good does it matter if the LOC is only 400watts? my guess is no since the amp would still amplify and send 750 to the sub. would LC2i be enough?
Is it possible to run a line out converter off of a amplified speaker wire? I have a upgraded system in a factory car.
You may need to get this amplifier interface: www.qualitymobilevideo.com/gmos-most-02.html
Sir what can I do to increase my radio volume level after having a aftermarket system installed in my 06 Audi A6
Don't know anything about the system.
What did you have installed? What type of system was it at stock? Do you still have an OEM head unit, or an aftermarket? Did your factory system have an OEM amp? (premium sound)
Need info to give info, broski.
I purchased the speaker wire harness for my car but I'm not sure how to make the T harness
Outstanding video. Perfectly explained. Thank you very very much.
Where is the popping coming from? The speakers, sub or everything?
@@Qualitymobilevideo its coming fromt he speakers when i shut off the car with a 5 second delay and there is static when i turn on the stereo. I think its a bad ground but I can't figure it out.

I installed the same ones. Through a 4 channel amp. And it sounds bad man. Not sure what to do

What is the advantages of a loc with 12 v power input over the one without any power input?
OKAY this is what i needed so i did the same thing with my rear deck speakers and i had a high level output harnas for months. And today i wired the 4 wires to my LOC and connected it now my amp nor subwoofer will turn on
please help
So I know attach the remote wire from the LOC to the amp. What about the remote wire from the dash?
Do you recommende LP7-2 over LP7-4? My question is if I want to keep the balance of my stock stereo with an Amp but with additional Amp to a Subwoofer.
Do you know if the 2015 and up Dodge Chargers SXT rear speaker wires are full range? I want to connect Audio Control LC7i or DQ-61 so I can connect 3 amps each for high, mids and lows from the just rear speaker signal.
I hace a 07 bmw 650i i just installed a sub a amp wit pac audio lp-7 2 and i dont get no sound from sub just popin front speakers do u know what i could of done wrong i tap into subs underseats
