I'm creaky knee old. Been around since world warrior. Yet I can comfortably say. SSFIV was the hypest time in my years of playing fighting games. I literally played in endless lobbies for 24 hours straight on launch day. Great times!!
Ultra street fighter 4 is like an abusive relationship. Being 17 I gotta fight people who are like twice my age who’ve played for god knows how long, many of my fights consist of getting whooped, taunted, or my opponent not even really trying in the fight it’s rough getting to the game now. Despite all that though, the matches where you get to fight on equal ground are the fights to remember. It makes all the mental anguish worth it in the end. Because wether you won or lost. You walk away from the fight satisfied
Absolutely. With play time comes experience, so playing over a long period of time and analysing in your head why you lost the match if you did will go a long way 👍
Dude, I recognise your name from a while ago! I watch your stuff all the time, so it's surreal to see you comment on one of my videos! Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
@@Snoooootch My aim when writing and editing this video was to make someone feel that way, so to have the one and only Snoooootch say that is truly humbling! Thank you so much again for the support! Long live SSFIV
Cool stuff man! As a younger guy too (19) I still think SF4 is fun as hell casually, and a blast to watch competitively…even if I didn’t get to experience its glory days. The combos are also pretty satisfying to land, although I’m really inconsistent with them (some of those links and Sakura’s Tatsu loops really kick my ass) but overall one of the funnest fighting games I’ve ever played. Keep it up with these videos. You gonna do the Ultra update or nah?
Yoooo a fellow FGC zoomer! Thanks a lot for watching, and as far as Ultra goes, I don't plan on making a video for it. I wouldn't really know what to say other than new characters and balance changes were added. You've actually given me an idea, however, but it won't be till next year until my idea comes to fruition! 👀
I love playing SF4 to this day but man it's such an incredible spectators game. I feel SF4 had some of the hypest moments in competitive SF. Makes me really happy that SF6 (So far) is also super fun to play and watch. Which is something i haven't felt since the first month of SFV. Amazing video as always man.
Thanks for watching! I completely agree about SF4 being super hype to watch. There were so many crazy good players from all over the world using whatever character they wanted (including the somewhat less popular ones like Blanka, Fei Long, Gen, Adon, etc.) so it never felt like there was one character who wasn't being played.
This was actually the best version of SFIV. This is where they should have stopped. Strong roster (especially for its time) and a great balance of offense and defense. People complained I guess about the game favoring defensive and charge characters too much. So every single charge character received some sort of nerf. More rushdown characters like Viper and Cammy barely got touched. I played the hell out of this version. I even competed in Evo that year. I really really really hated AE. AE 2012 was better by a lot. And I had dropped the game by the time ultra came out.
I'm just wondering which version i should get. im getting Super Street Fighter 4, but im wondering if should I upgrade to AE or Ultra or just keep Super
Personally I think Soul Calibur is a better fighting game series than Street Fighter. I do wonder why Street Fighter 4 was the one that brought the genre back to the mainstream while other fighting games failed to do so.
Nice video, but DAMN you have to normalize audio. Maybe it's for comedic purposes, but those parts with the volume all cranked up made me stop watching the 2nd time it hurt my ears.
I wish PC would have gotten Super without AE. Maybe I'll learn how to block all of the AE characters someday from Ultra. E.Ryu, Seth & Oni are who I want to block or replace. I'd take Lucia, Birdie, Sodom & Akira over them any day hands down.
I wanted to cover SSFIV because it's older than Ultra and because I have more nostalgia for it, but I am planning on doing something related to Ultra in the new year

I really like the anime prologues and epilouges for arcade mode. They made me want to try to beat it with every character.

Nostalgic video indeed. Thanks for making it. Loved the jokes and appreciate the lightheartedness.

I still rather play SSF4 over SF5 and SF6 I miss this era 😢
This is the 3ds version yay, right before the yuns/evil shotos and sfxt chars (a bit unnecessary)
Ltg is the best sf4 player kek
Man, I remember being 9 when this came out and messing around with my cousins. I used to think Blanka was op… man I was dog back then lol

Vanilla SSF4 was never released on PC, and when AE finally was it still had GFWL and had a slow changeover to steam

It didn’t need to go too far past super or 2012
What about Ultra ?
