    Your reaction is the exact same as when I caught my first musky! I fish Georgian Bay so im used to seeing the best of the best when it comes to raw nature, crystal clear water and fishing. As someone from Ontario, I am so surprised that I had no idea how beautiful this area is. I can not believe it, the European architecture really makes this place insane. Plus insane gators! This place is beautiful!

    Excellent video promoting the 1000 Island area and the fishing. It's now on my "bucket list" of places I want to see and fish before I die 🙂

    It’s nice to see someone get extremely excited to catch one of the St. Lawrence Gators. Every year 50+ inch monsters are taken from the St. Lawrence. I’m lucky to live in Kingston Ontario which is located at the mouth of the St. Lawrence River on Lake Ontario. It is an incredible fishery. I know of people who travel long distance north of Kingston to fish and we have one of the best fisheries in our back yard. Happy fishing and keep the lines tight.

    I watched this from out in BC, was nice to see my river again. I grew up in the 1000 Islands, Brockville to Alex Bay was my home, from the time the ice went out until my boat was getting snow in it. It is really great to see people really appreciate the beauty of the river. Sure miss it.

    Nice catch and video! We basically grew up on the river. We used to catch our limit of pike in Button Bay when the weeds stuck up out of the water (this was the pre-zebra mussel days). We would fish the "canals" with our trusty gold red-eye wiggler. The fishing was incredible.

    The cottage in the background where you caught the musky is my families. I've fished that same spot a hundred times and caught bass and pike but not a musky yet though my father and grandfather have caught similar musky in the same general area. Nice video and nice fish thanks.

    Nice one. I had one that big in Northern Wisconsin and it scared the f out of us on a small aluminum row boat. I muscled it in like you instead of letting her tire. She spit the lure out, looked at me, & swam away. That was 1994. Otherwise I've only caught 1 (one) little 42" muskie in 2004. That's it.

      I didn’t do that. It was an old injury. That’s why the flesh is white. Not bloody. It was already healing. The fish was hooked perfectly.

    Like MW says, you are fishing in our front yard. Fished that same spots 1000's of times for over 50 years. You have no idea how lucky you were to catch that fish in that spot. Grats.

    • @thefreshangle1795
      @thefreshangle1795  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very interesting. Just out of curiosity what baits are you throwing when you fish there? Do you ever target muskies when you are fishing that spot? Have you ever thrown large musky baits there? Just wondering if that is what made the difference.
