Peugeot's 108 demonstrated back in 2014 just how far city cars had come in recent years. In fact, this one's more sophisticated and efficient than you might ever have expected a model of this kind could be. This one was media-savvy, efficient and could even be had in open 'TOP!' form. Plus it was very personalisable. Let's check it out as a used buy.

I have a 2017 108 and, honestly, I can't fault it for a first car. I've been driving for 3 months and it's a great little car to use for work and for school runs. The 1 litre tank is only costing me about £35 a month to fill. Easy steering, comfy seats, high quality seat fabric, 2 cup holders under the radio and touch screen radio. It's honestly not that bad, again, for a first time car or for someone who wants a cheaper car to run. Would definitely recommend for single owners or for small families.
This is a fantastic review which leaves nothing out and makes really useful comparisons with alternatives and even guidance on specifying a new one. The level of detail is astonishing. This puts virtually every other so-called car review I've ever seen to shame!
Wow thank you so much! We put a lot of effort into our reviews - glad it was helpful!
Agreed, one of the most helpful reviews I’ve seen!
by far the most thorough review of this car I've found
Thank you!
Thank you for this most in depth, serious review. Please continue this kind of review. Way too many reviewers are becoming part clowns.
Appreciate that thank you!

Nice. Good thorough info albeit I'd like more specs on the engine engineering. Like the fuel injection system, the valve intakes and Cam's etc. This matters more than an entertainment system to those interested in those specs. Good though. 9/10
I have a friend who bought a Peugeot 108, and it has been bedeviled with water leakage into the boot. Online forums will demonstrate that this is a very common problem caused by the high level brake light (fitted high on the tailgate) which is designed to lower cost of manufacture at the factory, but with absolutely no consideration for the customer when it comes to either dealing with the water leak or even changing any of the bulbs. That brake light unit is an absolute pig to remove, due to inaccessible spring clips.
Lots of easy fixes on u tube
I thought that was a 107 problem?
fortunately, I haven't had this problem with mine (bought mine 10 months ago)
1.0 krfe engine vvvvv easy diy. Ultra reliable and simple. Very economical. Driven one to Portugal no problem 60mpg at 65 mph. Its a car for a job not a luxury
This was fantastic thank you
Thanks, nice review
I like the 107 better. A basic car with all the things you need to drive, and none of the stuff you don't.
Is the 1.2 liter still a Toyota engine?
Hi, did you find out if it was a Toyota engine?
@@aburaeese Toyota Aygo, Citroën C1 and Peugeot 107/108 have always been a joint venture. The 1.0 108 has a 1KR-FE VVT-i Toyota engine.
The 1.2 puretech is steaming pile of 💩
The wet belt is terrible. Avoid like the plague
@@aburaeeseThe 1.2 is a pure tech wet-belt PSA engine. That’s why the Aygo doesn’t have it. It’s also avoided by the trade because it’s notoriously unreliable. As are all wet belts. Google wet belts….
how does it handle potholes ?
Ive got one had it for 10months. I've got the 1.2L 5 door. It does brilliantly over potholes. I've been scared a few times but I haven't changed my tires since I bought the car and I've had it fully serviced. No problems with it !!
