    If you like the C1 because of colours outside and inside, and not the 108 because of it being red, you can have the 108 in the same colour as the C1. So that’s not a genuine reason of why the C1 is better

      lmfao what a shit review, this seems like a parody or a satire. "uhhhhhhhhh dis one red dis one black so yea"

    Ideal 1st car after passing your test, keep for a couple of years , get your insurance down and your no claims up and then move on... can't understand these prats who pay 3K or 4K insurance a year and get a hot hatch at 17-18 years old... patience pays off....

    Has always made me laugh how road testers claim that the Aygo is better built than the Pug and the C1 is the worst of the lot. How? As stated they are made of the same bits by the same people.
    Oh and small cars are not crap - just most road testers think they are slumming it if asked to drive a Skoda Superb so a C1? Fer Chrissake that is positively 3rd world for them. Small cars have always been and will continue to be fun, value and much better than they used to be.

      Yes Darren! They're pretty much exactly the same, albeit with a few different parts here and there. Small cars will always be good fun - they're light, relatively cheap, and so approachable! Glad you enjoyed the video. SW

      i drived the previous generation all of them aygo c1 and 107 and they are exactly the same they just changue the bumpers and headlights everything feels the same quality, this gen is a bit more different but they feel the same to drive (i still owe the 107)

    Nice review....my wife has a 2017 Aygo x-cite and she loves it,i drive a 260hp Alfa Romeo and i often take the keys of the Aygo as its so much fun,as much fun as my 1960s Mini was..

    I've got one of these and the most common thing that passengers say is that the car has a 'big car' feel inside (at least at the front) and they are also surprised at how smoothly and quietly it runs at 70mph on the motorway. Fuel economy is excellent. The only thing I don't like is the slightly skittish handling in windy/wet weather and the pathetic accelleration on the 1.0 models.

      Is it normal for the c1 Citroen FEEL to make a crackling ticking noise? The service centre said it's normal on a 0.9 litre car.

    Thanks for the great review! I had the predecessor model of the C1. Now I drive the Peugeot 208 with 92 hp diesel engine. My next car could be a C1 again. What do you think about the idea of going down a segment again? I mainly drive short distances in city traffic and on country roads. About 10000 miles per year. And it's just me and my wife.

    I've bought one three years old with 20k on, had it a year. Good little car except that the clutch got hot in town, the rear brake light leaked water into the boot and yesterday the battery went flat. Not what you want when you lay out 6 grand.

    • @Bladebreak3r
      @Bladebreak3r 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How did all that happen??

    • @crpth1
      @crpth1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, you should have adjusted the clutch! Simple and easy to do.
      Brake light, it's a well known issue. Silicone + 5 minutes, done!
      Dead battery, around the 4 year mark... You know that's "normal" right?!
      Instead of whining if you used the time to fix/correct those, trust me on this, it would be faster! LOL 😂

      @rob5944 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crpth1Apologies, I've only just seen your post (don't know why). Well the dealer 'fixed' it free of charge, only for it to leak a again. For a problem to be in existence in the 107 too speaks of a long standing design issue which is inexcusable. I have since applied silicone to it. Apparently batteries these days only last long enough to get the car through its warranty period, the replacement I fitted was of a higher spec than the original, again very poor! As for the clutch, can you please explain how adjusting it will cure overheating issues? Thanks.

    I've always liked small cars, after all there are only the two of us in this family so why waste money on a bigger one? We currently have a Mk2 C1 (82 HP) and although it's quite basic it drives well and it surprises me with the way it dashes away from the lights! It's a fun drive. Needless to say it has the leaking back light....

    I have own a Mini Cooper and after leaving her every week at the repair shops for numerous problems I decide to sell it and buy a simple car like the 108.
    I can onestly say is quite an incredible car, in terms of performance and fuel milage. The only think that I don’t like much is the handling, a bit unstable sometimes whit a bit of “boat feeling”….. for the rest I really like her

      These are by no means high power cars. BUT we should not forget they're very light!
      Translation, the power/weight ratio set the driver among the fellow road users without any big complaints! In many cases give them better relation, altogether.
      I love to set mine apart from the fat asses (SUV and the likes) on roundabouts and any twists really. 800kg car vs 1.5 to 2 ton car... Well, it's easy to see who's passing the twisty's in a jiffy! The big boys don't stand a chance in these conditions. ;-)

    • @andyhowlett2231
      @andyhowlett2231 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crpth1 The low weight and the low 1st and 2nd gears make this car ideal for getting ahead of the Corsa-Boys at the traffic lights. It goes like hell for the first 100 yards, but by then the race is over and you can slow down and grin at them when they catch up and pass.

    They all use the same Japanese engine made by daihatsu that toyota now own, cheaper engine but proven reliability, although the are all built in the same factory the toyota has more safety features, the c1 and 108 dont have rear headrests so that can be dangerous, i would always pick the more expensive.

      Compared to a bag of sweets they aren't cheap, but relative to other cars they are 'cheap'. A ford Focus, for example, can be more than £20,000. Let's use the phrase 'less expensive' if you're happier with that!

    I rent a Peugeot 108 for 3 days when I
    was on holiday in Malta. Absolutly horrible car. The only good thing is
    the entertainment systhem. The old Trabants are more powerful than this
    piece of shit, and the fuel consumption was actually 7,5l/100lm WTF? My
    15 years old Lancia Thesis with 185 hp does 11-12l/100km!!!! If I have
    to coose a city car between thes thing and my wife's 17 years old

      Totally disagree, as someone that's owned a 1.2 allure for 3 years I've found it very nippy for the engine size, stylish, well built, reliable and great economy. I can only assume you drove a 1.0?

    • @stevenhickenjr
      @stevenhickenjr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They're only slow if you don't gear it properly. My 1.0 107 is nippy enough for the road and that's coming from someone who hill climbs fast cars on a regular basis. Use the revs to your advantage.

      trabant 26hp , the reviews car 71bhp, i think you are full of sh1t, most 1.3l cars from 15 years ago 60bhp, peugeot 1.9 diesel a common engine was 64bhp, a mini 1000 takes 8 seconds longer 0-60 and uses more fuel, so i think your perspective and ability to drive is very much in question
