Awesome video as always. I keep seeing these so I think I'm going to break down and get one. I ordered a 64 impala and actual got one so I might have to wait a little while to get a 6x6 lol. Have a wonderful day!!

I've a TRX-4 Bronco just now with 4s on a Hobbywing 880 ESC, a Surpass Hobby 12 turn 550, 5 slot motor, 9 tooth pinion gear and under drive in both axles.
It does alright but ideally i'd like an Axe in there. I think with the more limited gearing on the 550 motors, i reckon i might go for the new 540L sized 2800KV version.
Means i can still keep my ultra low gearing but still have a bit of wheel speed and hopefully it has a bit more torque than the older, shorter 2300kv version.

Nice video and test, this motor/esc combo its very tempting, im getting and Axial 6x6 today i might have to look into one of this, i already have fusion, mamba x with HH3500kv and a brushed set up in my other trucks.

Well Joe I got my card stuff worked out and I scooped this the TRX6 up along with the Yeah Racing aluminum axle housings. Bro I checked that description and used the link below. I think there’s only 2 more crawlers I need and my collection is complete

The stock esc with extra jst plug which connects to the power supply is now gone. Where can we now connect the lights?

Solder a JST on the battery plug off the esc.

I've seen pinions that go down to 8t with a 5mm bore but they are log pinions and to get the small diameter the teeth are off the end of the motor shaft. There isn't room enough to space the motor back to make this work.

What a badass, that thing was so quick in the bash test. Blew my mind how well it handled as well. Once I get my bank card crap worked out I’m getting a TRX6 for sure, it’s in my cart at Amain just have to start new account thanks to low life’s. Does the rear drive shaft fall out between the bridge axle and rear?

What 5mm pinion gear did you use, I don’t seem to be able to find one that fits a 5mm shaft and works with the spur gear. Traxxas said they don’t make one.

chris people never think of that, I sit here watching reviews and comes to the modulation they never dial that baby back to get the ultimate slow control in its full potential. I’m glad you said something. It’s finally out there.👍👍

100%. When i'm doing super slow crawling in close up videos or technical sections on rocks, i use the throttle trim instead with FOC for the ultimate in slowness and control.

    • @ExocagedRC

I had the throttle bandwidth set to 6% and Expo at the radio, I was barely pulling the trigger and then the motor comes on as slow as it can be.

Would you recommend it for the yeti 1/10? I like the best of both it offers but im not sure if it will be a bit short on speed. Possibly you could try it in a video that would be awesome. I currently have the hobbywing ezrun 3200kv but fancied something sensored hobbywing for trailing.

  • @Juacocb7

Do you think the 540L 2800kv would work on the 6x6? With a lower minimum RPM? I like the 3300kv speed to bash around but i like my low low speed more. Im looking for a motor esc combo for mine burshless, i was thinking on a Holmes puller pro v2 but i already have one on my TRX4 and i want to try something different
